Amanda Sutherland
Transitioning to college can be such an exciting time, but it's also a huge step into adult life and isn't always easy. Between the newfound independence, being away from family, making new friends and pressures to succeed, it can be a lot.
I'm passionate about supporting students who might be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, down, or need a self esteem boost. I also have a special interest in supporting sports and academic performance anxieties, perfectionism, and managing ADHD symptoms.
I believe that therapy works best when it's based on real, human to human connection. In sessions I'm authentic, present, and use humor when it fits. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and like you can totally be yourself.
