Cheyenne Wright, MSW LCSWA
The students I work best with are often thoughtful, self aware, and exhausted from trying to hold everything together. Many feel stuck in patterns around food, body image, perfectionism, or emotional overwhelm and are tired of fighting themselves every day. They may struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or chronic illness alongside an eating disorder, and often feel misunderstood or pressured to “just get better.”
They are usually students who want support that feels real and compassionate, not shaming or rushed. They are open to learning new coping skills, building trust with their bodies, and understanding what their behaviors are trying to protect them from. Even if they feel unsure or scared about change, they are willing to show up and try, and they want care that respects their pace, identity, and lived experience.
