Many people come to therapy after experiencing emotional distress that has led them to feel overwhelmed and as though they have lost direction in, and control of, their life. I work collaboratively with my clients to explore ways in which they can effectively regain a sense of empowerment, meaning, and control in their lives. One of the most difficult parts of deciding to seek out help and support from a therapist is choosing the right person for you. While there are many options out there, of utmost importance in your decision is finding a therapist you "click" with and feel connected to. It is my hope that I might be able to join you on your journey towards greater self-understanding, compassion, and insight.

Central to my work is the concept that our relationship, and the authentic exploration of that relationship, will better help you make meaning out of other important relationships. While this work can be challenging, and even frightening at times, it can lead to greater emotional and social fulfillment, improvements in mood, and increased freedom from panic and worry.

While I have enjoyed working effectively with a wide variety of individuals, I do specialize in LGBTQ affirmative therapy, Adult ADHD, performance/test anxiety, mood & anxiety concerns, and couples/relationship challenges. It would be a pleasure speaking with you about how I might best be of help to you. I am currently seeing new clients in my Dupont Circle psychotherapy office, and I look forward to answering any of your questions.
