Emily Pfannenstiel (Love)
My name is Emily and I am a practicing psychotherapist with a passion for holistic healing and empowering you to live a life you love. I enjoy working with women and have spent a lot of time working with survivors of trauma, learning and thinking about family planning, helping clients navigate their many meaningful relationships, and determining better ways to heal mood and anxiety symptoms. I am trained in CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness practices. I'll follow your lead throughout this process. You are the expert in your life. I love what I do, and I take my job to help you grow very seriously. We're in this together.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in psychology and art at Connecticut College before obtaining my Masters from Columbia University in counseling psychology. I trained individually with Harvard's meditation advisor. I've also taught and engaged in psychological research investigating mood, sleep, human development, and the nature of the therapeutic relationship.
My practice is run out of my offices in Providence, RI and in Mystic, CT or by your choice of phone or video. Visit my website to learn more, and to inquire about working together.
