Emma Wright
Between balancing work, school pressures, relationships and the 24 hour news cycle, it is natural to feel anxious and overwhelmed. As your therapist, I strive to walk alongside you and build upon your pre-existing skills to empower you to feel confident enough to manage future life stressors on your own and learning to identify what things truly deserve your energy.
My approach takes on a trauma-informed lens with compassion-focused interventions. I often like to consider how various systems in the US have impacted our ability to thrive and what we can do to cope with them. I enjoy working with teens and young-adults wanting to address symptoms of anxiety, depression, life transitions and impacts of trauma.
I reference research-based psychotherapy while also weaving in humor and candidness into each session. I believe that acting with humility is an essential component of the therapeutic process. If we can't be our authentic selves, we are limiting our potential for success.
