lalo nahui becerra, LMSW
feeling stuck, carrying more than you should, and not even sure where to begin?
worried you’re making the wrong choices, failing to “have it all figured out,” or just trying to survive on autopilot?
maybe you’ve been told you’re so “strong,” “resilient,” or “self-aware”, yet inside you still feel lost, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward.
maybe therapy feels like just talking, and no matter how much you reflect, nothing feels fully embodied, grounded, or actionable. you’re not alone.
i’m lalo nahui (pronounced: lah-loh nah-wee) and use they/he pronouns. i am a queer, transmasc, neurodivergent, disabled, polyamorous, first-generation mexican therapist (love my alphabet soup of intersecting identities!) here to offer a supportive, affirming, and relatable space for college students.
i work with students balancing the pressures of academics, social life, and the constant expectation to always know the right answer, make the right choice, and keep up with everything.
college can bring questions about identity, self-worth, relationships, and mental health while you carry burdens that were never yours to carry.
whether you’re struggling with time management, procrastination, executive functioning, career development, building self-care and daily routines, exploring your gender or sexuality, juggling how your identities intersect, processing trauma, afraid to open pandora’s box, or managing anxiety, depression, or burnout, i provide a brave space where you can pause, reflect, and explore ways of moving forward that feel embodied, creative, practical, and fully yours.
my approach is collaborative, integrative, and grounded in care, curiosity, and radical honesty, with humor when appropriate (when the horrors persist, yet we remain silly!).
i prioritize somatic, spiritual, and integrative approaches, including creative and expressive arts therapy, inner child and inner elder work, and other alternatives to traditional talk therapy, alongside neurodivergent-informed wellness and spiritual coaching that supports building routines, meaningful goals, and more time for yourself without it feeling like a constant fight to catch your breath.
i center LGBTQ+, queer, trans, and gender expansive folks, Black, indigenous and people of color and the global majority, neurodivergent, and first-generation students, or anyone navigating the pressures of college life.
together we’ll help you clarify your next steps, reconnect with your strengths, release the narratives that continue to echo in your body, and practice coming home to your full, authentic self in ways that feel real, embodied, and empowering.
