Substance Use Evaluations (Harm reduction)
I offer individualized reports based on a thorough interview of your substance use history, current relationship with substances, mental health history, trauma history, emotional experiences, relationship experiences, and meaning and purpose in your life.
I generate reports outlining your risk level and clinical recommendations for whether harm reduction is right for you and, if so, a roadmap for altering future use.
A central focus of my work in helping people change their relationship with substances focuses on meaning. Nietzche famously quoted “he who has a why to live can bear almost any how”. Relatedly, once we have a why, substances often because less important
