Melanie Zentz (Perspectives Therapy Services)
One of my favorite quotes, “Change your thoughts and you can change your world” by Norman Vincent Peale, really inspires me to help clients realize hope for the future. The change comes from you, and we can start that process within the therapy room.
Each person is unique in their own way, and because of this, they may need a unique approach to therapy. I look at the therapeutic relationship as a team: we can collaborate together to work on any issues that may be troublesome. You are the expert on your life, and I am here to help you navigate that life by providing a non-judgmental space, helping you to create change from within. I view therapy through a person-centered lens while using interventions pulled from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and solution-focused therapy (SFBT). Another big part of my practice is using Art Therapy to encourage clients to feel comfortable and able to express themselves on many levels. There is nothing quite like the power that art has in the healing process!
