Oakland Family Services is a private, nonprofit human service organization serving the area since 1921. With three convenient locations in Oakland County, we offer a continuum of prevention, education, and treatment services that span the human life cycle, enrich the lives of children, strengthen families, and rebuild lives.
Licensed mental health professionals help clients through individual counseling, group counseling, and psychiatric services. We treat mild to moderate mental health disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. We can help with trauma due to verbal, physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, domestic violence, bullying, or the death of a loved one.
At Day One, we offer a variety of outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment services for substance use disorders—group therapy, individual therapy, psychiatric services, family sessions, peer recovery coaches, and drug screenings. Clients are educated on substance use disorders, the cycle of addiction, relapse, and coping skills.
