R. Rahim Shabazz
Have you ever felt out of control? Struggled with drugs, alcohol, disruptive behaviors, or anger that seems to take over? If you're ready to make meaningful changes but aren't sure where to start, I'm here to help. I'm Rahim, a Mental Health Counselor Intern specializing in helping individuals overcome substance use, anger management issues, disruptive behaviors, career challenges, and performance stress. My ideal client is someone who's tired of feeling stuck and is ready to develop practical strategies to regain control of their life, improve relationships, and build a more fulfilling future.
My counseling approach integrates evidence-based methods like Strengths-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help you identify triggers, develop healthy coping skills, and harness your innate resilience. As a Behavioral Health Program Manager and soon-to-be graduate of John Carroll University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, I bring both professional training and cultural awareness to our sessions. I create a judgment-free space where teens and young adults can work through challenges while feeling truly heard and supported.
I understand taking that first step can feel daunting, but you don't have to face these challenges alone. Whether you're dealing with substance use, disruptive behaviors, anger, career transitions, or overwhelming stress, together we can develop the tools you need to create lasting positive change. When you're ready to start building a stronger, more confident version of yourself, I'll be here to support you every step of the way.
