Therapists for college students near 92182
Therapy isn’t easy — but that doesn't mean it has to be joyless. If you’re looking for a therapist who can delve into the dark stuff with both the compassionate support and the sense of humor that it deserves, you’ve come to the right place. I work with women and LGBTQIA+ folks on a range of issues, from managing anxiety and depression, to improving self-esteem, to healing from past trauma or loss. Many of my clients have experienced violence in an intimate relationship, and I have specialized training to support survivors of domestic violence so that they can move forward in their lives and their relationships with others. In addition to my one-on-one work, I love working with couples on improving communication and increasing intimacy, especially when partners come from different cultural backgrounds and hold different values. I'm a warm and practical therapist who will help you build your toolbox together. LGBTQIA+ folks and non-monogamous people of all genders and orientations are welcome and encouraged to reach out! Please contact our office to schedule a free, 20-minute consultation to learn more about my work and get on my calendar.
Feeling anxious, stuck, or burned out? I help college students move through anxiety, eating struggles, body image stress, and relationship ups and downs. Therapy with me is about more than just “coping” — we get to the root so you can feel lighter, trust yourself more, and actually enjoy life again. I’ve worked with clients all over the world, using approaches that help you truly heal and create lasting change. My goal is to help you feel more capable of handling life’s challenges while also making space for the positive, nourishing parts of your life.
Hi! One of my favorite populations to work with is the student population - you have to deal with SO much at this point in your life...academics, career planning, socializing, finances, friends, relationships, etc. It is a lot to handle! As a therapist, I take pride in my ability to connect with people on a deep level, while keeping things light with humor and compassion. My goal is to provide you with the tools and support you need to launch yourself into a fabulous next chapter of your life!
For nearly two decades, I have had the privilege of supporting people through some of life's most challenging and transformative experiences. I am especially passionate about working with young women and emerging adults as they navigate anxiety, self-esteem, relationships, identity development, life transitions, and the pressures that often accompany school, work, and adulthood. Many of the people I work with appear to have it together on the outside while privately struggling with self-doubt, overwhelm, perfectionism, grief, or feeling stuck. Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, gain clarity, and better understand the patterns and experiences that may be keeping you from living the life you want. Therapy with me is not a passive process. I am warm, direct, and actively engaged. I will sit with you in the hard moments, help you make sense of what feels overwhelming, and gently challenge you when needed. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, supported, and understood while also helping you move toward the growth and change you are seeking. Together, we will explore both the immediate concerns bringing you to therapy and the deeper factors contributing to them, while building practical tools to help you navigate everyday life. Whether you are facing a difficult transition, struggling in relationships, questioning your direction, or simply feeling overwhelmed, you do not have to figure it out alone. I would be honored to support you in creating a life that feels more authentic, connected, and meaningful.
I center my work on supporting LGBTQIA+ students navigating identity concerns related to gender and race. Using DBT, ERP, and solution-focused approaches, I also help with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and life transitions. I understand how substance use, relationship challenges, and emotion-regulation struggles can intersect with marginalized identities and amplify feelings of not belonging. My goal is to offer a warm, affirming space where you can bring your full self, build insight, and move toward meaningful change. At Inclusive Insight Psychotherapy, we believe connection is where we heal. My pronouns are he/they.
Licensed in CA, NC, FL and PA—offering seamless virtual care for students on campus and those traveling home for breaks. I am a Licensed Psychologist. I attended U of Miami, FL for my B.S, M.S., and Ph.D. As part of my graduate program, I completed courses and did research at Duke, U of Penn, Jefferson University, and Rutgers. I completed a specialized post-graduate Harvard program to understand and overcome internal barriers to achieve personal growth. Later in life, I became a UCLA Alum by obtaining my Certificate in Human Resource Management and was selected as the valedictorian for my speciality. This added a capability to enhance my work as a Strategic Human Resource Executive for two large Aerospace companies based in Torrance, CA. I live in beautiful Napa, CA. My practice is virtual using a secured platform. I see adults 18+ yo for individual therapy. For the past 30 plus years, I helped people just like you find ways to get on track with their lives. My goal for you is to understand yourself and be able to take steps to feel the way you want to feel. During our initial sessions, I ask that you share what you feel I need to know about your situation and circumstance, your feelings, about who you are and what you hope to gain through therapy. I take time to get to know you. We will explore your thoughts, feelings, reactions that arise in therapy as these are just as important as what happens outside of therapy. You will design your own unique tools and techniques to use throughout your life in various situations that give you relief and help during difficult times. Compassionate and patient, encouraging you to overcome hurdles you can control and let go of ones you can’t. We will move you towards your best self by holding you accountable for your own growth. We work collaboratively; starting with what’s happening now, breaking things down into manageable areas to work on. We explore ways to increase your awareness and your actions from how you view things to your actual behaviors. I keep up with the latest science on evidenced based approaches, and leverage our current understanding of our whole body. You'll gain resilience to handle life’s challenges. I believe that we are creative, resourceful & whole... and sometimes, we just need a helping hand. We have genetics and learned behaviors that make us who we are. Think about it, if we can learn what we have learned to bring us to where we are today, without even trying, imagine what we can do if we put just a little bit of effort and energy into learning something different that would work better for us today. If we take care of our whole body, eat right, stay active, stimulate our brains, give to and receive from others then we do better dealing with stress and challenges. I do practice the things I talk about. It’s important that I take care of myself. And we’re not prefect so sometimes we stop our best practices and then we realize we need to pick them up again because we notice the negative impact. That’s me too. I love that we have similarities and differences as humans, that’s what makes us so wondrous! If you want to learn more about how I can help, send me a message. Please be sure to share your personal email and your personal cell phone so I can reach you.

I specialize in a highly effective form of therapy called TEAM-CBT, rooted in evidence-based treatment methods. My goal is to empower you to overcome anxiety, depression, tackle procrastination and improve your relationships.
Picture this: a space where your thoughts and emotions are not just heard, but truly understood; where negative patterns unravel, where there is change and growth in your life, and where therapy is enjoyable and fun. I provide a safe, judgement-free, and easy going environment where you can feel free to be yourself. In treatment, we will work together to collaboratively set goals for change, learn how your self-talk impacts your feelings and behaviors, and learn practical skills to create change. The tools I offer are concrete, step-by-step methods that help you challenge unhelpful thoughts, shift painful emotions, improve relationships, and build new habits. Together, we’ll practice strategies you can use both in and outside of sessions, so progress continues between appointments and beyond. I also have extensive experience working with the ASD population and the families and caregivers, recognizing how important it is to support the entire system, not just the individual. My background in conducting comprehensive assessments allows me to integrate different approaches and tailor therapy to your unique needs. My personal history in athletics has shaped who I am and given me firsthand insight into the pressures athletes face. I bring that perspective into my work by applying cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) strategies that help athletes build resilience, manage stress, and improve performance. Additionally, I have experience working with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) as well as with clients struggling with depression and anxiety. I’ve seen how these treatments, combined with the right therapeutic support, can lead to meaningful progress and long-lasting change. My goal is for you to feel more empowered with your life. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, life transition, or other concerns, I am here to support you on your new era of personal transformation. Interested in seeing if were a good match? Hello! I am a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with young adults, LGBTQ+ people (especially trans and non-binary), trauma, and emotional instability. My clients often come from backgrounds where they feel misunderstood and invalidated. They sometimes feel frustrated with their important relationships, or like they're stuck on an emotional roller coaster, or like they have trouble relaxing and feeling safe. In therapy, I create an accepting, non-judgmental environment where my clients can feel truly seen. From there, I help clients understand themselves, what they want to change in their lives, and how to reach their goals. I completed my training at college counseling centers and a hospital program serving college students. I know the challenges college students face, and I love helping students overcome those challenges. If you think we might be a good fit for therapy, please reach out! I offer free 15 minute consultation calls for anyone interested. I am currently offering therapy in person in Berkeley, CA on Saturdays and over Zoom Tuesday-Saturday in California, New York, and Virginia.
