I might be making a blanket statement here, but here's what I have observed over the years. People between the ages of 18 and 25(ish) are so *aware* of their inner landscape and have a completely different view of mental health and the pursuit of what makes them feel safe, seen, connected and useful. If you're seeking therapy right now, it might feel like everything, from all directions is not to your advantage and what an overwhelming feeling that must be. Systemic problems are rampant and stacked against so many, but especially those of you who are just starting out on your own in this world. I see you. I empathize with you. I'd really love to know your story and work with you in whatever capacity you need. I have a particular specialty in addictions and trauma, however I have experience with many different kinds of needs as I've spent significant time in community mental health and schools. Shoot me a message and tell me what you're looking for. If I don't seem like a good fit, I'm happy to help you find a therapist who might be better. I do accept some insurances so if you're on those plans, let me know. Be well!

I help Gen-Z and Millennials (15-40 years old) who know in their gut that something is not right with their life to reclaim purpose, find clear direction, and make positive change. If you are feeling lost, excessive stress or overwhelmed, it may not be your fault. Most of us have not been taught how to effectively deal with the stressors and demands of the modern world. You may have tried using self-help books or social media to relieve feelings of discomfort, but continue to struggle nevertheless. Through working together, you will learn new powerful and sustainable tools to thrive and flourish. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addiction Counselor, and master-level trained mindfulness instructor. My unique approach uses evidenced-based skills that help you learn how to cope with adversity, stressors, and the demands of life. These tools will quickly help you to flourish in work, dating, relationships, school and other facets of your life. I will bring authenticity, honesty, and comic relief to the healing work we do together. Meaning-Making & Life Transitions | Anxiety, Grief, and Healing There are times in life when the questions feel too big: Why does everything feel so disconnected from what I imagined? How do I keep moving forward when I’m not sure where to go? If you’ve built a life that looks good on the outside but feels off on the inside, you’re not alone. Maybe you’ve spent years pushing forward, staying busy, and doing what’s expected—only to find yourself feeling restless, anxious, or disconnected from what once drove you. Or maybe something big has shifted—grief, a transition, an unexpected change—and suddenly, the certainty you once relied on isn’t there anymore. I understand this because I’ve lived it. Losing both of my parents during some of the most formative years of my life left me grappling with a depth of grief and confusion I wasn’t prepared for. In my late teens and early adulthood, I had to figure out how to keep going while everything around me was shifting. It was a messy, painful journey that took me to the darkest corners of myself, forcing me to confront emotions I hadn’t even realized I was carrying. And through it, I eventually learned that healing doesn’t come from pushing through or pretending to be okay. It comes from creating space for what’s real—sitting with it, learning from it, and finding a way forward, even when it feels impossible. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing isn’t about fixing what’s “broken,” but about understanding yourself in new ways. It’s about reconnecting with who you truly are, even when life has pulled you off course. In my practice, I offer a space for you to process what’s beneath the surface—without pressure, without judgment. Whether you’re navigating grief, dealing with anxiety, or facing a life transition that’s left you questioning everything, therapy can help you make sense of it. Healing with me isn’t about quick fixes; it’s about deep exploration, vulnerability, and learning how to reconnect with yourself and what truly matters to you. If any of this resonates, I’m here to walk with you through it—helping you rediscover clarity, confidence, and the courage to move forward in a way that feels right for you. Gabrielle Samo, MA, LPCC, earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University and understands that navigating life’s challenges can feel overwhelming. Her approach combines practical tools to help make sense of things (because sometimes we need a map) with the space to sit with what’s hard (because not everything can—or should—be fixed right away). Her work is informed by experience supporting individuals with chronic and terminal illnesses, as well as years of hospice volunteer work. Gabrielle Samo is supervised by Michelle Fagan, LPC #0016337.

Are you a neurodivergent person who… Feels like you are constantly masking in order to fit in and feel burnt out from doing so? Struggles with communicating your needs which results in frequent misunderstandings and frustration with other people? Finds yourself in a persistent state of sensory overload which makes everyday tasks feel overwhelming and insurmountable? Feels isolated and alone in your experiences? My passion is helping neurodivergent people be their authentic selves and live a life that is fulfilling and meaningful to them. As a New Yorker living in Colorado, I am warm and outgoing with a no BS attitude. I am a licensed clinical social worker who has over 11 years of experience working with neurodivergent people including autistic humans and ADHDers. I also love working with fellow therapists and others in the helping profession like professors, healthcare professionals, teachers, and the like. My approach is curious, compassionate, humorous, and direct. I strive to ensure that you feel heard, understood and supported. I also believe that you deserve guidance that is free of fluff and that you received concrete next steps for your future endeavors.

You deserve to live a life that leaves you excited to wake up each day. Where you feel lighter, hopeful, empowered, and believe in your innate worth. Whether you're stressed, struggling with an experience from the past, or anxious, I would love to help you overcome your hardships while helping you enjoy the process as much as possible, and celebrate you as you experience yourself in new ways. It takes courage to call a counselor, but I hope you will take a moment (and perhaps a deep breath) and reach out to see how I can help. I look forward to hearing from you.
