Many folks who sit with me share the weight of being a human in a world that does not seem to honor, value, or support them. It can feel exhausting to continue carrying our wounded selves through a sea of ongoing oppression and late stage capitalism. All the while, we continue to feel the pain of our childhood wounding and challenges with relationship and connection. It can feel overwhelming and hopeless. How do we find our way in all of this? Sometimes when I sit with others, I imagine we are sitting at a table where you can lay out all the many wounds, fears, disappointments, losses, and challenges of being a human. Together, we can look at each challenge and honor it. We honor what it has to say, what teaching it has, what pain it carries. Somehow, in the process of holding this space, we often find the tightness of the pain loosens. In this process, we develop a greater capacity for holding and processing emotion, paving the way for a richer life. As we move forward, we often discover a greater capacity for joy, connection, fulfillment, and love! After all, this is another hallmark of being human, finding joy and love alongside the pain and challenge. If you're interested in sitting at the table with me, please reach out for a free consultation. I look forward to hearing from you!

My practice primarily serves LGBTQ+, queer, trans, and gender-expansive adults, alongside individuals navigating complex trauma, relational patterns, and perinatal mental health concerns. My clinical approach is supportive, affirming, trauma-informed, and grounded in relational and attachment-based frameworks. I integrate an awareness of how systems of power, identity, and lived experience shape mental health, and I strive to hold both individual healing and broader context in view. I have specialized focus in complex trauma, including childhood trauma, relational trauma, and attachment wounds. Many of my clients are exploring identity development, processing experiences of minority stress, or seeking a therapeutic space where they can fully express their gender and sexual identities without needing to justify or defend them. I also provide affirming care for individuals during pregnancy, postpartum transitions, fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, and other reproductive experiences. I am particularly mindful of the unique emotional and systemic considerations that may arise for LGBTQ+ individuals and families during these periods. While no therapeutic space can be perfectly free from the impact of broader social forces, I am deeply committed to creating a therapy environment that feels brave, collaborative, and respectful. I engage in ongoing consultation, supervision, and continuing education to support culturally responsive and identity-affirming care. My work is guided by trauma-informed principles, a commitment to equity and inclusion, and respect for client autonomy and self-determination. I view therapy as a collaborative process where clients are supported in deepening self-understanding, strengthening resilience, and moving toward meaningful change.

We offer affirming psychotherapy and sex therapy for individuals, couples, multiple-partner relationships, and poly and leather families. We are experts in alternative sexualities, specializing in working with adults in the kink/BDSM, polyamorous/non-monogamous, trans/gender-nonconforming/non-binary, LGBQIA+, and sex work communities. We work with those who live openly and out; and those who have more conservative and private lifestyles. We use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including holistic, person-centered, collaborative, empowerment-focused, trauma-informed, IFS, DBT, and EMDR. We welcome people of every ability, age, gender, national origin, race/ethnicity, religious affiliation, and sexual orientation, and we cultivate space for conversations that de/reconstruct whiteness, and cultivate positive racial and intersectional identities. People seek therapy for many reasons, including: a deeper understanding of identity or sexuality; difficulty adjusting to relationship difficulties or traumatic experiences; anxiety and/or depression; sexual functioning issues; compulsive thoughts or behavior; and/or changes in relationship structure or power dynamic. Most people decide to work with my practice because of my specialized training and experience, or because they feel more comfortable speaking to a therapist with first-hand knowledge of alternative identities and lifestyles.

We are always changing, learning, and growing. Our bodies are wired with an innate capacity for and draw towards this growth. If you are feeling stuck, sad, anxious, angry, or lost you are in the right place. In therapy we will work together to create the conditions to allow that growth process to unfold. That may be learning skills, processing emotions or events, or practicing new ways of being. I believe deeply in the unique gifts of each of my clients and we’ll work by identifying places of stuckness and leveraging the strengths and resources that are already a part of who you are towards the growth you are longing for. Growth, like any other change, can be scary, exciting, messy, and sometimes confusing. Working with me you will have a safe place to explore the twists and turns of your journey, knowing you don't have to do this alone. I am a therapist with experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment wounding, and suicidality. I have worked in outdoor therapeutic settings and crisis response. I work with LGBTQ2IA+ and trans/non-binary folks in their journeys with sexuality and gender. And I operate with a lens of systemic oppression and community healing, using both cognitive and body-based frameworks. I work with adults, young adults, and teens.
