I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. With a warm, client-centered approach, I use a mix of humanistic, strengths-based, CBT, and mindfulness techniques to support clients in processing difficult emotions and discovering their own path toward healing. The focus of this process is collaborating with you, the client, by creating a safe and understanding space, which is the foundation of any successful therapeutic relationship. I enjoy working with teens and adults, particularly those who are neurodiverse, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. I also provide support to people navigating grief and loss, depression, anxiety, and relationship challenges. I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of the individual, creating a compassionate and supportive environment for growth and healing. Healing comes from within, and you are the expert on yourself. It is always my hope to be an empowering force for you in the pursuit of whatever it is you aim to achieve in therapy. In addition to individual therapy, I am also open to working with family systems when needed, recognizing how important these dynamics can be in the healing process. While we may all be individuals, we are constantly operating within systems. If you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, or just need someone to help you work through life’s challenges, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

I work with children 5 years of age and older, adolescents, and adults. Many clients I work with are struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, impulsivity, emotion regulation, relationship issues, family conflict, self-harm behaviors, and/or problems with self-esteem. As a person-centered therapist, I focus on providing a nonjudgmental, validating space for clients to navigate through difficult emotions and explore their values and identity. I offer sessions virtually and in-person, accommodating after school/evening hours. Please call or email if you feel like this could be the right fit for you or your child. I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and play therapy to help clients process emotions and develop skills to cope with these challenges. When treating children and adolescents, I work closely with parents/guardians to develop strategies to best support their child throughout the therapy process.

I am a licensed professional counselor specializing in helping adolescent and adult patients expand their resilience and coping skills to better navigate current challenges. While I specialize in treating root causes of chronic anxiety and depression, I am also here to assist those struggling with PTSD, compulsive disorders, behavioral/conduct issues, neurodiverse issues, grief, and life changes, with extensive experience working with patients managing substance use disorders. Working together, you can expect a stable and calming environment where kindness and respect are the pillars in which a trusting relationship is built. I use an eclectic array of treatments to help achieve your goals, from cognitive interventions to somatic therapy, play therapy to creative interventions – all with an emphasis on expanding self-worth, healthy reward systems, and discipline. I am especially passionate about incorporating somatic interventions from a trauma-informed lens. This multi-faceted approach is best described as flexible and tailored, keeping your unique needs and objectives as the focus at all times. I look forward to creating a safe, open space with you in our time together. My path to becoming a therapist began as a teenager upon experiencing significant traumatic events with the loss of my older brother and cousin. These events developed and deepened my commitment to providing compassionate, empathic responses to those undergoing defining life changes. Now, I place high emphasis on not forgetting life experiences, but expanding on resilience to cope with and honor them. When I’m not in the office, I love spending my free time outside. Hiking, camping, fishing, snowboarding, attending live music shows, and even oil painting – I love it all!

“I don't want to burden my family with what I've seen and experienced.” “I'm constantly masking who I am to make others feel comfortable.” “People see my behavior, but they don't understand what's behind it.” “I don't feel in control of my own life.” If you recognize yourself in any of these, I’d be honored to support you. I am a clinical social worker and therapist assisting patients with many intersectional identities whose adverse experiences cause difficulty in their lives. As a patient-centered therapist, I specialize in fostering a safe space and building a trusted partnership for you to look deeply at your situations, experiences, and feelings. I'm passionate about relieving the pain of adverse, even traumatic experiences, and helping you develop coping skills and find broader, easier paths to progress, fulfillment, and joy in your life. My specialties include issues with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, phase of life and adjustment issues, family and relationship challenges, substance use, trauma, and much more. No matter your struggle, I am dedicated to applying my clinical training and background, and my varied life experiences, to guide you along the path to greater mental wellness. I look forward to meeting and engaging with you wherever you’re in your life journey and working with you and your situation to fulfill your goals and wishes for therapy and growth. The cornerstone of effective therapy is empathy, making a genuine connection, and seeing the world through my patients' eyes. Relating in this way enables me to assist you in understanding, dealing with, and resolving difficult experiences and patterns in life to gain insight, freedom, and joy. These deeply held values allow me to build a dependable environment to see and resolve issues in our work together. My style is warm and candid – I'll be your ally in the process while utilizing a blend of therapeutic modalities tailored to your situation, goals, and wishes. Through our sessions, you'll gain insight and relief to turn challenges into coping skills and adverse experiences into assets. My time as a young ski instructor taught me the value of empathy, which later led to my becoming a mental health therapist. Teaching skiing on the side of a mountain requires building trust and rapport, effectively managing the scene to meet the client's needs and wishes, and maintaining safety all while fostering a fun and educational environment. I've used this empathy-based, client-centered approach throughout my therapeutic practice. Coupled with life experiences, my passion for empathic connection became my calling to train for a career dedicated to exceptional clinical work. When I’m not seeing patients, you’ll find me on the slopes! Skiing is a special blend of exercise, outdoor adventure, and connection with others. As a passionate skier and certified ski instructor, I love sharing this fantastic sport with my wife, family and friends, and students of all levels and backgrounds. Off the snow, I’m often hiking with my wife and friends, enjoying the exercise and the beauty and scale of nature.

As a Licensed Master Social Worker and Clinical Candidate with more than a decade of experience, I offer adolescents and adults a warm, safe space where patients feel truly seen and supported. I specialize in trauma and mood disorders, helping individuals develop coping skills and understand how their mind and body respond to stress and life transitions. My approach is grounded in building a collaborative, compassionate, and authentic relationship where you are empowered to regulate, heal from anxiety, depression, and trauma, and move toward a more balanced and peaceful way of living. I deeply believe that no one has to navigate their pain alone and that everyone deserves the opportunity to heal. I believe in practicing radical empathy and acceptance, which helps me be a therapist who believes in hope and healing – because I have experienced it. Working together, you are assured a welcoming and judgement-free environment that incorporates a strengths-based approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and polyvagal-informed techniques to help you understand your reactions, reduce stress, and feel more balanced. My style is supportive and authentic, with a touch of humor when appropriate, and adapted to your hopes and goals. I look forward to being part of your mental health journey to help build resilience, regulate the mind and body, and cultivate a more peaceful, balanced life. My path to becoming a therapist began with my own mental health journey in my 20s. Having survived a traumatic upbringing, I knew I needed serious healing in order to build the life I wanted for myself. This personal experience in overcoming obstacles raised by trauma deepened my commitment to pursuing a career in mental health, and fueled my commitment to providing a holistic and deeply empathic approach to helping others heal. That’s why, in my practice now, I bring a humble and nonjudgmental perspective to each session, knowing that we all need help on our life journeys. When I’m not in the office, I love taking photos in nature, hiking, skiing, attending live music concerts (especially at outdoor venues), traveling, and learning about plants and animals. I’m also a big fan of mental health and wellness podcasts as well as card and board games (Catan is super fun, even if I don't often win!). Most of all, I love dogs, especially my senior dog (Frenchie/pug/beagle mix).

You will find me to be an authentic and direct therapist that will focus on your values and strengths to guide the therapy process. My philosophy is that therapy is the space to get into how and why what you’re trying to do differently isn’t working (because you probably already have enough people willing to tell you), and what you should be doing with your life. I won’t promise that therapy will make the hard stuff in your life go away, but what I know it can do is help you find a way through the hard stuff with meaning and help build resilience. My specialties include depression, anxiety, family of origin issues, interpersonal distress and eating disorders (including binge eating, Bulimia, ARFID, Anorexia and disordered eating as a result of trauma or chronic illness). I also have experience with borderline personality disorder, complex trauma and navigating how to be the support person for a loved one going through mental health issues. In my 10+ years as a therapist I have supported individuals and families as they move through some of the hardest moments in their lives and into a fulfilling, meaningful journey forward and look forward to helping you do the same. I use ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) as the foundation to conceptualize the concerns you’re seeking help with. Once we both have a clear picture of the issues, we will get creative within a wide range of therapy modalities to find interventions that fit your life & temperament. In addition to seeing clients, I also provide supervision to psychology students and post graduate clinicians working on their hours for licensure. “I am thankful for my struggle because without it I wouldn’t have discovered my strength. I am learning to honor the space between no longer & not yet.” – unknown
