I've worked in several University Counseling Centers and also serve as an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Department of Applied Psychology at NYU. Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work with a wide range of individuals, including those from diverse backgrounds, who are grappling with many different issues: transition to college, relationship struggles, family issues, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, identity, sexual orientation, grief/loss, and existential challenges. I've worked with student-athletes, international students, people of color, LGBTQIA individuals, study-abroad students, members of Greek Life, and graduate/doctoral students. I am a down-to-earth, insightful, non-judgmental, REAL, sometimes funny, and consistently compassionate therapist. I love working with college students! When you or someone you love has been through a horrible experience, your whole life can be turned upside down. As an extensively trained trauma therapist, I have the education, experience, and passion to help you heal. There are proven approaches we can use to help you heal from your past. My clients learn to deeply understand how past experiences have affected them, and to feel in control and at peace in the present. You don't have to figure this out by yourself. Sexual assault, sexual harassment, and related experiences often break us down and make us feel invisible. Call me at 720-340-6261 for a free consultation to learn how I can help you move from feeling broken or voiceless to feeling whole, empowered and fully alive. If you like, our work can involve my well-trained, registered professional therapy dog, Nova. Many people feel safer and more comfortable with a friendly dog present. I am a psychotherapist in Boulder, Colorado and have spent my career working with people to find solutions, move towards recovery and create positive change in their lives. My focus is helping you to figure out the path forward to improve your quality of life. That might mean finding emotional stability, processing trauma, creating personal growth, or improving relationships. I have worked with college students, both undergraduate and graduate students, for the last 10 years at the University of Colorado Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) doing individual, group and couples therapy. Upon starting private practice, I intentionally found an office close to campus as I hoped to continue working with students. I love working with students on the challenges that come up in college and grad school such as adjusting to college and academic stress, processing issues that you may have hoped to leave at home, or working through new experiences or traumas that are causing distress. I seek to provide my clients with a safe and non-judgmental space in order to move towards emotional health and stability. I specialize in EMDR trauma therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness based treatments to help with trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders and feeling stuck in life.

I am a practicum intern therapist offering somatic, person-centered therapy for adults navigating life transitions, relationship challenges and identity shifts. I am especially passionate about helping women traverse the emotional landscape of midlife, menopause, and perimenopause. My approach to therapy is grounded, intuitive, and deeply relational. I create a warm, attuned space where you feel supported in exploring who you are and where you want to go. I believe that change feeds the soul—and that healing begins when we meet ourselves with compassion, curiosity and courage. Before entering the field of psychotherapy, I was a professional musician and integrative somatic coach. My background in music and coaching informs my ability to listen deeply, connect through presence, and help you attune to the rhythms of your own inner experience. In addition to completing my Master's in Clinical Counseling at Adams State University, I am currently pursuing certification as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner through Somatic Experiencing International. I offer therapy in person in Boulder and online throughout Colorado under the supervision of licensed clinicians at Thrive Psychotherapy.

The Hope Institute of Boulder

Boulder, CO

Individuals struggling with suicidal ideation can come to The Hope Institute for treatment, to increase hope, and obtain the ability to safely wait for ongoing outpatient care, when needed. Our approach is unique, as it is based in the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), two of the most effective, evidence-based models currently available for treating suicidality. With the use of CAMS and DBT, the clinician and client will work together to solve problems. CAMS is an evidenced-based therapeutic framework for suicide-specific assessment and treatment of a patient’s suicidal risk. Each session of CAMS intentionally utilizes the patient’s input about what is and is not working. All assessment work in CAMS is collaborative; we seek to have the patient be a “co-author” of their own treatment plan (CAMS-care, 2024). DBT is a type of talk therapy that gives clients skills in regulating their emotions, tolerating distress, maintaining healthy relationships, practicing mindfulness and thinking from perspectives other than their own. THI is home to multiple clinicians who are certified and trained in CAMS and DBT. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based behavior focused treatment intended to help clients build a life worth living while reducing suicidal and self-harming behaviors. Parent and teen groups are available. DBT groups provide clients with five core skills to manage intense emotions and enhance day-to-day life: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and dialects.

My practice begins with a kind, compassionate and safe introduction to the therapy process. We will explore what you want in your life and how to get there. Together we will follow your questions, concerns and goals, so you can discover new options. These are some of the questions we can explore. How can I make decisions that lead to a clear purpose? Why do I feel depressed? What is all this anxiety about? What can I do to feel better now? Drawing on eastern and western psychology, we will work together to develop the tools and inner resources to achieve your life goals including learning self compassion, and developing awareness of your thoughts, feelings and behaviors - through traditional talk therapy, mindfulness, creating art, and journaling. Please see my psychology today profile for more information and a complete list of insurance I accept.

We work primarily with folks experiencing difficulty with ADHD or attention struggles, anxiety, PTSD, and depression. We use a brain map (qEEG) to measure baseline electrical activity, and then design an individualized protocol to then habituate more adaptive, efficient, and flexible brainwave patterns. Training occurs twice weekly for around 30-50 sessions.

At Whole Connection we take Medicaid and work on a sliding scale. We provide high quality, accessible psychotherapy to Boulder County. Our team is made up of skilled therapists who provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy. In addition to outpatient therapy we offer a Trauma Recovery and Care program. Our Trauma Recovery and Care program is designed for individuals who are struggling to take control of their lives because they feel dictated by feelings that are deeply connected to their past. If you have been diagnosed with PTSD or you suspect that PTSD is underlying your current symptoms, this could be for you. We believe that all people should have access to Therapy, by clinicians and interns who are continually trained and educated and who are also taken care of (not overworked). In doing so we try and meet the needs of those of the community who come to see us by either sliding our fees or accepting medicaid insurance. Lastly we aim to provide free and affordable trainings for the larger community and clinicians to continue to learn and grow. We also take Victim's Compensation.

Welcome! I specialize in working with anxiety, relationship concerns, and eating/body image issues. College can be a whirlwind of new experiences, freedoms, and responsibilities. Add to that the current state of the world, and things can easily feel heavy. It's common that in the overwhelm of managing it all, anxiety around life, relationships, and food becomes a way to cope. If you've been struggling, you don't have to carry the weight of it alone-- finding a therapist you like and trust can change everything. I am trained in somatic therapy, which means we include body awareness as a way to get beneath the conscious mind and anxious thoughts that play on repeat. This helps to get in touch with what's really going on and find sustainable relief. Clients often say that somatic therapy promotes deeper change than other types of therapy they've tried before. I know it can take a lot of energy to start with a new therapist. I'm proud of you for caring for yourself by taking these steps. Reach out for a free 30-minute call so we can get to know each other and see if it's a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you!
