Anxiety, stress, and sadness are a normal part of life. At times these feelings can take over and inhabit multiple area's of life in a profoundly negative way. As a therapist, I offer an empathetic, non-judgmental, supportive, and encouraging space for emerging and young adults to explore area's of life that feel off. I work with my clients to understand the unique experiences brought to counseling. Treating someone as a person, not a diagnosis that needs to be fixed is essential in healing.

A Stoa Therapy provider. For most families, finding a qualified speech-language pathologist means long waitlists, limited local options, and clinics that don't take their insurance. For adults navigating a voice disorder or recovering from a stroke, the barriers are just as real. We built Stoa Therapy to solve that. By delivering care over telehealth and working directly with insurance, we connect patients across Virginia, Colorado, Illinois, and Louisiana with SLPs who have specialized training in exactly what they need. The result is care that's easier to start, easier to sustain, and genuinely effective. Get matched, visit: https://stoa-therapy.com/

Do you find yourself feeling stuck in unfulfilling relationships? A clinically focused therapist, I specialize in a trauma-informed approach to managing burnout, anxiety, gender dysphoria, and the many complications that come with queer and neurodivergent identities. I often work with adolescent and adult trauma survivors, queer and transgender folks, and anyone else who feels left behind by the white, able-bodied, neurotypical, hetero-centric, and/or cisgender expectations of our society. You may have spent a long time navigating a world that wasn't built with you in mind. Maybe you're wondering whether the things keeping you up at night are real and valid, or if they're just "all in your head." Maybe you've recently received or suspect a diagnosis of ADHD, Autism, or OCD, and you're trying to make sense of what that means for your life. Or maybe you're working toward living out your queerest, most authentic self, and you're looking for a space where that journey is celebrated rather than questioned. No matter what brings you here, my work is grounded in transparency and accountability, and in the belief that every human being carries a natural capacity to heal and grow. That belief shapes how I show up for you: as a forward-thinking, inventive partner who takes your experience seriously. Everyone has something to be proud of, a vast and sometimes hidden greatness that is uniquely theirs. I look forward to seeing yours, and helping you build a life you'd never imagined you could live. At the center of my work is the belief that no matter how different your brain, body, or soul might seem to others, or how long you've been living in survival mode, it is possible to build a life you can genuinely thrive in. That belief isn't a slogan; it's the foundation of my work with each and every patient. Resilience, adaptation, and self-acceptance are the goals we work toward together. To get there, I draw from a wide range of approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems, narrative therapy, and attachment theory — selecting and combining tools based on what fits you, not a predetermined framework. My style is strengths-based and highly individualized to your background and goals, supporting you in a judgment-free environment as you build a happiness that is uniquely yours. My path to becoming a therapist began with my own gender transition in 2021. At what was the most fearful and uncertain time of my life, I was fortunate to have guides and mentors who helped me not just understand, but love who I was. They taught me to seek my joy in everything, and believed I was beautiful before I could see it myself. Since then, I've wanted nothing more than to give that same gift to others: authentic care, patience, and the vision to see that each of us, no matter how hurt or how different we might be, is a beautiful thread in the rich tapestry of life. When you sit across from me, that history comes with me, as a reminder of what it means to be seen by someone who truly believes in you, and as a commitment to being that person for you. In my spare time, I enjoy playing board games with my friends, sword-fighting at local LARP clubs, carving and crafting various leather gifts, and living a very gay domestic life with my partners, who love taking me out to KBBQ on the weekends.

I believe issues in our lives arise from a lack of connection to others and to the internal parts within ourselves. Once we strengthen these connections and resolve inner conflict, we are able to reach a state of feeling more integrated and authentic. You are the expert of yourself and I will honor that in our work together. As a counselor, I view my role as walking next to you while you process the areas of your life that are troubling you. We will know you have gotten what you needed from our work together when you feel empowered to navigate your life's challenges confidently.

I am a believer that we are all interconnected. Our relationships matter most to our wellbeing. And while we are living in a time where we are easily able to connect with one another, we have also never been so isolated and alone. The messages we receive from our greater systems often are at odds with what I know contribute to our wellbeing. Because of that we can often feel stuck, less than, or constantly hustling for “that thing.” We can end up chasing the wrong thing and find ourselves perpetually behind or inadequate. Our culture often places so much emphasis on outcomes, appearance, and external or material things. I sincerely believe that they are often at the root of our unhappiness. We often are doing the thing we think will help us but it ultimately harms us! We are doing it wrong. Together we will explore the often painful and uncomfortable spaces within and work from an Inside-Out approach. In doing so, we find that the storms tend to be more universal, we see our common humanity, we develop more self compassion and compassion and empathy for others. When we are our authentic selves, we become more free and our sessions will include plenty of laughing even as we dive into the parts that feel hard. We were never meant to do this life alone. And yet – so many of us are often sold on false narratives that “it’s just you” or have been invalidated, shamed, or traumatized by oppressive systems on the larger scale or within our own homes. My pride in the work is to help you become your best self, the one who is not merely living, but the one who is truly alive. Feeling it all, skin in the game, open to heartbreak, receptive to joy. Facing our pain is not easy (I know this well!). But I know deeply that when we do the right kind of hard, our efforts are fruitful beyond measure. Let’s face this together.

I work with college students and young adults who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, overthinking, performance pressure, and emotional shutdown — even when they are capable and motivated. Many of the students I support struggle with test anxiety, presentations, interviews, perfectionism, panic symptoms, or the sense that their nervous system goes into “fight or flight” under pressure. Others experience anxiety and depression together, which can affect motivation, focus, and connection. My approach is neuroscience-informed and practical. I use evidence-based therapies including EMDR, ACT, CBT, Polyvagal-informed therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies to help clients regulate their nervous system, reduce reactivity, and build confidence in real-world situations. I provide a supportive, structured space where students can develop tools to manage stress, improve emotional regulation, and move forward with greater clarity and resilience

Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision. It's important to find someone that you can relate to and most importantly someone that you trust. We will work together to create a secure relationship, where you begin to feel less alone experiencing emotional vulnerability. My capacity to truly see you, and your capacity to feel comfortable being seen, will be essential to your healing. It is my belief that lasting growth does not occur as a result of insight and understanding alone. Deep healing and change happen when you are able to explore new emotional experiences and to try new behaviors, in the presence of a supportive person (therapist). I work with adults and older adolescents to address old wounds, to increase self compassion and to develop increased emotional stability and flexibility. If you are interested in learning more about me and my practice, please visit my website or email/call to schedule a brief phone consultation.

I founded Keshet Counseling to support individuals who often feel overlooked or misunderstood in traditional therapy spaces. My work is especially meaningful to those navigating the complexities of chronic illness, such as Lyme Disease, Mold Toxicity, MCAS, and other invisible disabilities, as well as those facing antisemitism or discrimination for not aligning with political or institutional expectations. I also work closely with teens and adults dealing with antisemitism, narcissistic abuse, multicultural identity issues, codependency, love addiction, grief, anxiety, relationship issues, and trauma. My approach is rooted in body centered somatic psychology using mindfulness. We’ll explore unconscious beliefs and patterns shaping your experience by noticing whats happening for you in this moment. I hold a humanistic view of healing: I believe you are already whole, worthy, and deeply capable of transformation. My role is to help reconnect you to your own inner knowing, and I view our relationship as a collaborative space where your voice and wisdom lead the way. I don’t believe there’s something wrong with you, rather, what happened to you.
