As a Clinical Social Work Intern, I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, stress management, and relationship challenges for adults and adolescents. Together, we'll navigate excessive worry and fear, persistent sadness, emotional regulation, self-esteem concerns, identity exploration, and relationship and family difficulties. No matter what you’re facing, I foster a supportive, non-judgmental space to explore your past and current experiences, helping you understand yourself and cope with your challenges in a way that's unique and specific to you. I believe in autonomy, collaboration, transparency, and the importance of human relationships, values that help me be a trustworthy teammate in session, one who understands that healing is not linear and doesn't happen in solitude. I look forward to learning from you and the experiences you bring to our work together. During our sessions, I create a space where you feel supported, seen, and encouraged to explore your deepest self, shaping both the decisions ahead and the actions you take today. That work is grounded in cultural sensitivity, inclusivity, and patient-centered, trauma-informed care, so your experiences, identity, strengths, and needs are honored throughout our time together. You'll find a collaborative, encouraging environment where your life experience becomes a tool for understanding yourself, navigating challenges, and building coping skills that lead toward meaningful change. I believe you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as we identify recurring patterns and build a plan for change that feels authentic and achievable to you. Together, we'll draw on evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapy to support that process. What drove me to becoming a therapist was my own experiences with mental health, understanding my identity, and navigating life's unexpected challenges, which gave me firsthand insight into how difficult it can be to make sense of our emotions, experiences, and sense of self while trying to move forward. My experiences deepened my commitment to providing compassionate, person-centered, and identity- and culturally affirming care, so that you feel seen, accepted, and supported. Empathy, curiosity, and an understanding that healing and growth look different for everyone are what I bring to our work together. Outside of the therapy room, I love spending time with family, friends, and my dog, Tank. Tank and I love to go on walks, hikes, and snuggle during a good TV show. I’m also a big foodie and love to try new restaurants and coffee shops! My perfect Saturday includes getting a morning workout in, a coffee run, and finding a nice spot to read a book.

Hello! My name is Megan McConnell and I am the owner and therapist of Inner Abundance Counseling based in Denver, CO. My clients come from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances, but are united by the feeling that they are not yet living their best, most fulfilling lives. They feel blocked from accessing the joy, connection, and sense of purpose they desire by issues like past traumas, anxiety, depression, and perfectionism. They want to be their authentic selves and live each day with intention, but need some help figuring out how best to do so. I have 6+ years of experience and have helped hundreds of clients like you achieve their goals. I aim to understand each of my clients as the unique individuals that they are, and if we work together I will customize my treatment approach according to what will best serve your needs. I balance compassion and validation of your experiences with direct feedback that will help you recognize and take advantage of opportunities for growth. We will know therapy is working when you start to feel more present, grounded, and content, and are able to show up to your work, relationships, and play in all the ways you value.

As a trauma-informed therapist, my work centers on identity, healing, and relational transformation for adults working to reclaim clarity, autonomy, and emotional wellness. Whether you're navigating coercive relationships, trauma, identity loss, or a major life transition, this is a space where your experiences are genuinely understood and validated. Many of the people I work with are seeking emotional safety, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of self after experiencing emotionally harmful dynamics, including divorce, narcissistic abuse, domestic violence, cult experiences, or religious and spiritual trauma. These are experiences that can be difficult to put into words, and you deserve a therapist who not only understands them but can help you make sense of what you've been through. At the heart of my approach is a deep belief in our innate human need to be authentic and free. That belief shapes how I show up for you, as a supportive, grounding presence dedicated to helping you reclaim your life, your identity, and your autonomy. Collaboration, curiosity, and a deep respect for your autonomy shape the way I work with you. Every session is built on a foundation of trust and honesty, in a space that is warm, nonjudgmental, and genuinely supportive of wherever you are in your journey. Using relational and trauma-informed approaches, we'll work together to help you better understand and reconnect with yourself, process painful experiences, and build healthier patterns in your relationships and daily life. I tailor everything to your unique needs and goals, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all framework. What matters most is that you feel genuinely seen, especially in experiences that others may not fully understand. Coercive control, emotional abuse, and relational trauma are areas I'm particularly drawn to and well-versed in. For many people, simply feeling validated in these experiences is a meaningful first step. My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by both personal and professional experiences that showed me, firsthand, how profoundly relationships and social influence shape our emotional well-being and sense of self. These experiences didn't just inform my clinical focus — they deepened my commitment to creating a therapeutic space where people feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. Warmth, insight, and an authentic relational presence are what I bring to every session. This work is not just a career; it's a calling rooted in a genuine desire to walk alongside you as you find your way back to yourself. Outside of sessions, you'll often find me reading, writing, or diving into investigative journalism. Hobbies that keep me both curious and grounded. Hiking offers a different kind of reset, one that connects me to the world in a way that carries over into how I show up for the people I work with.

I’m a licensed professional counselor candidate with a focus on trauma healing through IFS (Internal Family Systems) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I’m deeply committed to creating safe, affirming spaces— for individuals navigating their own healing journeys. When I’m not in session, you’ll likely find me hiking with my dog or exploring new restaurants with my partner. My areas of clinical expertise include trauma-related disorders such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD/C-PTSD), childhood trauma, anxiety and depressive disorders, as well as concerns specific to the LGBTQ+ community. I am committed to providing informed, compassionate, and evidence-based care tailored to the individual's experience. I am deeply committed to fostering a therapeutic environment rooted in respect, authenticity, and humility. Satie is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Her specialties include trauma, depression, grief and loss, relationships, anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, and development of self-awareness and self-connection. She takes a whole-person and compassion-rooted approach and often combines relational, body-based, emotion-focused, and mindfulness elements in working with clients. Satie approaches therapy as a collaborative relationship in which the process is tailored specifically to what each person needs over time. She believes that not everyone needs the same things from therapy, so it needs to adjust to each person. Therapy with her is relational and grounded and her therapeutic style is described as collaborative, empathetically challenging, and non-judgmental. Satie strives to make room in therapy for calm, humor, and joy in the process as well. Her ideal clients are individuals who understand that healing often requires change. With that in mind, she works to support clients in identifying and exploring personal response patterns, making meaning, gaining insight into emotions, shifting beliefs about self, and learning to better regulate or cope. Her hope is for individuals to connect with their needs and experience meaningful changes or insights in therapy that help them to feel more empowered, build a strong personal foundation of understanding, and reconnect with parts of themselves or experiences they've felt disconnected from. Whether you're needing a supportive place in your life to process stress and transition or wanting to explore deeper concerns, She will provide a calm, open space for you to do that.

When you’re in need of compassionate mental health care, you deserve genuine openness from a therapist who strives to be your advocate at all times. I look forward to being that advocate for you, learning more about who you are as an individual while exploring the ways we can achieve your collaborative goals together. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner with more than a decade of experience, I help adults navigate challenges posed by depressive and anxiety disorders as well as assist with processing and treating trauma and grief that individuals have experienced throughout their lives. My goal is to make in-depth inquiries and connections that get to the root of your struggles and build the skills needed to overcome any obstacle. I'm passionate about helping redefine the past and instilling hope for greater mental wellness. That’s why my method is centered around openness and grounded in the idea that you are not broken and needing to be "fixed." Instead, we use your life experiences to heal and explore the person you would like to be. In our time together, you can expect a kind, casual, and inquisitive environment when exploring your symptoms and history. I operate with a person-centered, Rogerian approach, using the concept of "unconditional positive regard" and a conversational style, so you feel understood in a non-judgmental way and at ease when discussing difficult history. I have served the Denver community as a psychiatric nurse practitioner based in mental health for the majority of my career. During this time, I had the honor of treating a wide number of diagnoses and severities of symptoms across ages, backgrounds, and socioeconomic hardships. These experiences taught me just how nuanced mental health care truly is, allowing me to see a person not as "one diagnosis," but to take into account their entire history, relationship dynamics, and values to best tailor treatment, leading to greater well-being. When I’m not in my therapist role, I am a hobbyist woodworker and woodturner. I enjoy building and tinkering with models, as well as other creative outlets like cooking and baking sourdough bread.

I am a social work intern with a particular interest in supporting people who have experienced trauma and are navigating grief, loss, death and dying, or terminal illness. In our work together, I hope to provide a compassionate, supportive space where you can process difficult experiences, make meaning of what you're going through, and identify ways to move forward that align with your values and needs. I value working collaboratively with patients who are open to exploring their experiences and engaging in the therapeutic process at a pace that feels right for them. Curiosity and openness are important to how I approach my work, which is grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Together, we'll discover what matters to you and identify goals that feel meaningful and right for you. Working together, you can expect a compassionate, accepting, and nonjudgmental environment that incorporates trauma-informed and somatic approaches to help you explore past experiences, connect with your emotions and bodily experiences, build self-understanding, and identify ways to move forward. Ensuring you feel heard and where your feedback helps guide our work, as does a warm, curious, and responsive style focused on your unique goals and needs. My path toward becoming a therapist was shaped by supporting people close to me as they faced terminal illness. During those experiences, I learned the value of simply being present and offering care, compassion, and space for someone's feelings without trying to fix what couldn’t be fixed. I also discovered an ability to stay grounded alongside others during painful moments while honoring that their experience was their own. This has deepened my commitment to providing a warm, accepting, and supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and less alone as you navigate life's challenges. When I'm not working, I enjoy yoga, biking, taking long walks, skiing, and reading. I'm also an aspiring stand-up comedian and appreciate the connection and perspective that humor can bring. As a lifelong learner, I'm continually curious about new ideas, and am especially interested in exploring Buddhism and its teachings on mindfulness and compassion.

I am a therapist specializing in a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, identity issues, LGBTQIA+ identity and relationships, life transitions, men's health, relationship issues, self-esteem, sexual health, stress management, and student mental health — working with patients of all ages. With more than eight years of experience in direct care mental health settings and a background as a former educator, I bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic relationship. I believe that healing is a collaborative process and am committed to working alongside people from all walks of life to help you navigate your challenges and discover solutions that are right for you. My practice is founded on evidence-based and integrative modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), humanistic, and collaborative approaches. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method, I tailor therapy to meet you where you are. My goal is to create a space where processing your experiences, build new understanding, and work toward meaningful goals all come together, so that every session moves you forward in a way that feels both grounded and purposeful. My path to becoming a therapist grew naturally out of my work as an educator. Many of my former students sought me out specifically, recognizing that they needed someone to direct and honest with them about their patterns and behaviors. Being surrounded by therapists throughout that time, I found myself continually inspired by the depth and impact of their work. That inspiration led me here. Today, I bring that same directness into the therapy room, helping you explore how your feelings and emotions connect to your history and how patterns, often without our awareness. By shining a light on those cycles, we can begin to understand them and, together, find a new way forward. Outside of the office, you can find me practicing hot yoga, spending time outdoors, playing video games, making art, or catching up on reality TV. These varied interests keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of joy, creativity, and rest, all values I bring into my work with you.

As an art therapist, I use creativity as a way to help people better understand themselves, manage stress, and work through difficult emotions. Art therapy can be especially helpful for people who may have a hard time putting their feelings or experiences into words. Through creating, connecting, and working together, art therapy can help individuals navigate challenges, explore their identity, and build confidence. I have experience working with individuals who experience anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, and other mental health concerns. Whether you are dealing with a specific challenge, processing a difficult experience, or simply looking for ways to improve your emotional well-being, art therapy can be a supportive space to explore and grow. Feel free to reach out if you have questions or would like to connect!

I am a licensed social worker who helps patients navigate identity, interpersonal relationships, and loneliness. My work centers on people of all backgrounds, with a particular focus on queer, transgender, and gender-diverse patients; patients with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder; neurodivergent patients, including those with autism and ADHD; and patients in recovery from substance use. This includes teenage, young adult, and older adult patients navigating changing identity alongside mental health challenges, as well as supporting patients through crises such as suicidality, paranoia, and trauma-related stress. Together, we work toward healthy boundaries, stronger social relationships, and effective coping skills. When we meet, you can expect a calm, compassionate environment from the start. I use a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic therapies to help you navigate acute stress and overwhelm before moving into more expansive identity work. Art and creativity are central to how I practice, particularly for patients who feel stuck in their mental health journey since it allows for communication when words are inadequate. I look forward to discovering who you are as we work together. My path to SOL Mental Health began with supporting disabled adults in the workplace. This work fueled my desire to always put patient autonomy first, above all else, in the therapeutic space. In my free time, I'm an oil painter, linocut printer, and digital artist. Fashion, movies, and live music round out my downtime.
