I am a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice based in Boulder County, Colorado. I provide psychiatric care that is collaborative, evidence-based, and deeply personal — helping individuals reconnect with balance, purpose, and confidence. My background spans acute physical rehabilitation, memory and behavioral health, and outpatient psychiatry. I’ve also served as adjunct faculty at the University of Colorado College of Nursing, where I taught mental health nursing across the lifespan and trained future nurses to approach care with empathy and curiosity. I founded Jamie McCartney Psychiatry PLLC to create a space where patients feel genuinely seen and supported. My practice integrates medication management, psychotherapy collaboration, and lifestyle psychiatry to address the full picture of mental health.

Do you often find yourself going back and forth about making a change in your head? Is part of you wanting to make that change and part of you not feeling sure or quite ready yet? This is all part of the change process, and you are probably further along than you realize! Sometimes a new perspective and new tools can help us "get off the seesaw" and get closer to the life we want to have. I work to build a space of non-judgment and acceptance so my clients can be seen exactly as they are without fear, so we can find the path forward together. I work most often with clients who are anxious, perfectionistic, struggling to balance their work/home lives, or people who are trying to work through religious-based trauma. The services I provide are secular, racial justice allied, gender-affirming and LGBTQIA+ allied, and body positive. I have also worked with military service members, spouses, and family members for years. If you have any questions about how this affects my approach, please feel free to ask! I utilize evidenced-based approaches (ACT, DBT, EMDR) to help clients develop new skills, and lean into their current strengths so they can move toward the life they want. Maybe this is your first time in counseling, or maybe you are coming back due to recent challenges. My goal is to make sure you feel comfortable and ready to take on what you're facing together. I look forward to getting to know you, and being a part of your change process!

My passion is helping others to manage their stress, anxiety, and depression. I help adults and teens achieve balance and flow in their life through therapy and mindfulness training. I believe in working with people from where they are in life. Each one of us intuitively knows what we need in order to work through life's struggles. Through mindfulness, self-inquiry, being outdoors, and moving our bodies, I can help you to find more peace and stillness in a time of stress and intensity. Believing that you already have everything you need to get through the difficult times in your life is essential. Offerings: Multi-Modality Coaching & Talk Therapy Using different modalities (CBT, mindfulness therapy, coaching) I facilitate a deeper sense of self-awareness and understanding, enabling you to get unstuck, find a deeper sense of peace, and reach your peak performance. Movement-Based Nature Therapy We will move together outside and connect in a therapeutic relationship. Movement stimulates the brain, enabling parts of yourself to come out that wouldn’t necessarily arise in a typical therapeutic setting.

Meaning-Making & Life Transitions | Anxiety, Grief, and Healing There are times in life when the questions feel too big: Why does everything feel so disconnected from what I imagined? How do I keep moving forward when I’m not sure where to go? If you’ve built a life that looks good on the outside but feels off on the inside, you’re not alone. Maybe you’ve spent years pushing forward, staying busy, and doing what’s expected—only to find yourself feeling restless, anxious, or disconnected from what once drove you. Or maybe something big has shifted—grief, a transition, an unexpected change—and suddenly, the certainty you once relied on isn’t there anymore. I understand this because I’ve lived it. Losing both of my parents during some of the most formative years of my life left me grappling with a depth of grief and confusion I wasn’t prepared for. In my late teens and early adulthood, I had to figure out how to keep going while everything around me was shifting. It was a messy, painful journey that took me to the darkest corners of myself, forcing me to confront emotions I hadn’t even realized I was carrying. And through it, I eventually learned that healing doesn’t come from pushing through or pretending to be okay. It comes from creating space for what’s real—sitting with it, learning from it, and finding a way forward, even when it feels impossible. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing isn’t about fixing what’s “broken,” but about understanding yourself in new ways. It’s about reconnecting with who you truly are, even when life has pulled you off course. In my practice, I offer a space for you to process what’s beneath the surface—without pressure, without judgment. Whether you’re navigating grief, dealing with anxiety, or facing a life transition that’s left you questioning everything, therapy can help you make sense of it. Healing with me isn’t about quick fixes; it’s about deep exploration, vulnerability, and learning how to reconnect with yourself and what truly matters to you. If any of this resonates, I’m here to walk with you through it—helping you rediscover clarity, confidence, and the courage to move forward in a way that feels right for you. Gabrielle Samo, MA, LPCC, earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University and understands that navigating life’s challenges can feel overwhelming. Her approach combines practical tools to help make sense of things (because sometimes we need a map) with the space to sit with what’s hard (because not everything can—or should—be fixed right away). Her work is informed by experience supporting individuals with chronic and terminal illnesses, as well as years of hospice volunteer work. Gabrielle Samo is supervised by Michelle Fagan, LPC #0016337.

In many ways, it's a hard time to be a human being. Feelings of isolation, depression, anxiety, and directionlessness are all exceedingly common in our culture. Most of us are connected with very few people who can be role models and lead by example. Therapy can be a powerful force of change in your life if you are willing to look inside deeply and address what isn't working for you. Having a therapist who can guide this process for you is a gift. If you know the way you are showing up is not working for you, that's a great place to start therapy from. I am passionate about working with neurodivergence, relationship issues, spirituality, men's issues, and personal growth. I blend a warm presence with a direct, straight-up style of communication that helps you access what is going on inside of you and feel supported there. My approach blends Gestalt, IFS, mindfulness, humor, and radical self-responsibility. I would love to hear from you about what you are looking to get out of therapy. Call, text, or email to schedule a consultation call :)

Feeling like it's all just too much? Racing thoughts and constant worries that you just can't seem to stop? You feel restless, tired and anxious. Your partner doesn't seem to understand you. You have tried self-help books, groups or apps, but none of these are helping you to get where you want to be. If that sounds familiar, you are not alone. I am Katrin Segeletz. As an LPC in Colorado specializing in ADHD and Anxiety, I work with high-functioning women who have mastered the art of holding everything together, but at the expense of their own well-being. I've got you! Together, we'll create practical tools, strategies and systems tailored to your specific needs, aspirations and capacity. After working with me, clients don't just manage their symptoms better - they relate to themselves differently! Instead of feeling "broken" they experience a growing sense of self-trust, clarity and internal calm. In our sessions we do more than just talk, we get results. But this is not another place to perform, it's a place where you can be yourself. Whether we are crying through the hard moments or laughing through your successes, I will be by your side. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process between therapist and client, and that by working together we can help you move toward understanding and healing. Your job is to be curious about yourself. Mine is to inspire and assist you in exploring the unknown, uncomfortable, and unfamiliar. I strive to kindly challenge the way people think, and to be challenged myself. I am honored when asked to be present in challenging times, and work to balance holding room for discomfort while helping you discover how to move forward. My ultimate goal is to help you heal by building upon our respect, honesty, and mindfulness. I approach counseling from an experiential and existential perspective, and integrate attachment, feminist, and narrative therapies. My training includes EFT, Gestalt, MI, and DBT. I love counseling young adults, and have worked in school settings for 15 years. I also greatly enjoy working with couples. I'm active in LGBTQIA+ and polyamorous communities. I find joy in helping clients explore and heal, no matter what journey you find yourself on! I look forward to connecting with you. I specialize in working with teens, young adults, older adults, couples, relationship issues, life transitions, multicultural concerns, members of LGBTQIA+ communities, and polyamorous individuals, couples, and families.

Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision. It's important to find someone that you can relate to and most importantly someone that you trust. We will work together to create a secure relationship, where you begin to feel less alone experiencing emotional vulnerability. My capacity to truly see you, and your capacity to feel comfortable being seen, will be essential to your healing. It is my belief that lasting growth does not occur as a result of insight and understanding alone. Deep healing and change happen when you are able to explore new emotional experiences and to try new behaviors, in the presence of a supportive person (therapist). I work with adults and older adolescents to address old wounds, to increase self compassion and to develop increased emotional stability and flexibility. If you are interested in learning more about me and my practice, please visit my website or email/call to schedule a brief phone consultation.
