Hello! My name is Jasmine Cepeda, LCSW. I am a psychotherapist licensed in New York, New Jersey, & Colorado, based in Brooklyn, NYC. I believe all human beings want to be seen, understood, and accepted. As a therapist, I offer a warm, safe, and patient space for such an experience. We all need someone to empower, validate, and actively listen to us in an empathic way, which is what I strive to do. With over a decade of clinical experience, my therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in helping individuals foster self-reflection and emotional expression. I guide clients through life transitions and help them process a diverse range of emotions, thoughts, traumas, and complex relationships that may cause distress. For instance, I assist clients in processing feelings such as worry, shame, guilt, fear, and sadness, while also facilitating acceptance, trust, hope, forgiveness, accountability, and a sense of enoughness. My practice is also trauma-informed, ensuring that the impacts of past traumas are validated and that safety and trust are established during the healing process. With an eclectic therapeutic approach, I tailor my services to each person's unique needs, employing three main modalities: Emotion Focused/ Psychodynamic Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, & Mindfulness-based/Somatic-based Therapy. Please visit the Frequently Asked Questions section for additional details about these modalities. My approach is centered around helping clients develop self-esteem, authenticity, and emotional regulation skills through building a compassionate presence and mindful awareness. We focus on the present, while integrating the past and being courageously hopeful for the future, even if uncertain. Utilizing the virtual therapy platform Doxy, I provide accessible and convenient care without compromising quality. I am also the author of the books and guided journals: 12 Ways to Cope With Your Latina Mom & Her Difficulties and 12 Ways to Cope With Your Latino Dad & His Difficulties, available on amazon or through direct purchase. Outside of therapy, my interest includes yoga, meditation, and cooking! Lastly, as a native New Yorker and first-generation Latina, with a background in social work, I approach therapy through an anti-oppressive lens. I invite you to reach out and make an appointment. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please visit the Frequently Asked Questions section for additional insights and support.

Mornings focus on group-based cognitive behavioral therapy, leveraging the outdoors as often as possible. Daily hikes along our “12 Step” Trail are normal, while afternoons are set aside for educational offerings. Individually, clients meet weekly with a primary therapist and a case manager. Additional services are available as well, such as specialty groups for 12 Step, Trauma, and Co-Occurring Disorders. Clients diagnosed with mental health disorders, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar, and other trauma-related responses, meet with appropriate staff. I understand; you've tried everything. Instead of following the traditional medical model of diagnosing and labeling, I meet you where you are with embodied support to help you live a fully integrated life. I blend practices from East and West, neuroscience with spirituality, and movement with introspection. My work focuses on integrating all parts of you—body, mind, and soul—to build healthier relationships, improve your self-esteem, help you relate differently to anxiety and depression, reconnect with purpose and meaning, and come home to your body. I believe in the healing power of embodiment to recover from the hurt you've experienced. I specialize in compassionate, trauma-focused ketamine-assisted therapy to help you live a more present and embodied life. Trauma can manifest as nearly any form of stress held in the nervous system, from autoimmune conditions and chronic pain to anxiety and addiction. Ketamine-assisted therapy is an excellent option if you feel like you've tried everything but still feel stuck. It's a safe and legal therapeutic option for treating symptoms ranging from depression and anxiety to OCD and eating disorders. Ketamine-assisted therapy is a science-backed intervention that heals on a neurobiological level, creating more lasting and transformative change. As a therapist specializing in EMDR and somatic psychology, in addition to ketamine-assisted therapy, my goal is to get you back in your body. I want you to feel relief, not just in sessions, but for the days and weeks that follow. Trauma isn't just "in your head"; it leaves a very real biological imprint on your body, memory, and brain chemistry. Through somatic (ancient Greek for "body") psychotherapy, EMDR, and mindfulness-based practices, I help you find freedom from limiting beliefs, depression, anxiety, and addictive patterns. I offer in-person therapy to Seattle clients and virtual therapy throughout Washington and Colorado.

In-person/ Face to Face in Colorado Springs and online throughout Colorado. In our sessions we will ride the line between spirituality and psychology. You will learn to be comfortable with discomfort. I will help you connect with yourself on a deeper level. We will uncover your patterns, learn how to implement boundaries, and develop a relationship with yourself. From the minute we meet we will be building a relationship based on trust and authenticity. I strive to create a place where you can be yourself. A place that feels safe to face the things you avoid. Together, we will help you develop a witness of your life and experiences. You will gain the ability to connect with the present moment and calm your nervous system. You will learn to accept things as they are instead of the way you might want them to be. I will teach your how to regulate your emotions and process past trauma. You will stop ruminating and learn to trust your body and regain your intuition. We rebuild the way you see yourself, others, and the world. I have seen this transformation in my clients and want you to experience the true joy life has to offer. If you are done looking for shortcuts and ready to put in the work to free yourself from your past, I have your back!

Do you find yourself over-working in your job or school and under-connecting in relationships? Escaping via addiction while struggling with emotional pain, fear, loneliness, or shame? Maybe you just know something is wrong but aren’t even sure what to call it. If this sounds familiar, I can help. There are a lot of conflicting expectations out there for who men “should be.” Some say you should be tough and ambitious, while others say you should be empathetic and sensitive. I have experienced this myself and understand how difficult it can be to sort through it and make sense of it all. I became a therapist to help men become healthier individuals with healthier relationships–to help men move past trauma, addiction, and shame. I know how confusing and painful this can be, and I can tell you from personal experience that there is hope and a better way. My counseling style is to work with you collaboratively to help you identify false beliefs, process the pain and shame that formed these beliefs, and move forward with healthier mindsets, behaviors, and relationships. I utilize a down-to-earth, practical approach to help you identify what you are already doing that might be working well, what might not be so helpful, and to learn skills for better emotional management, communication, boundary setting and more. At the same time, we will also roll up our sleeves and work to heal the deeper emotional wounds from your past. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Licensed Addictions Counselor, and am trained in EMDR. This specific combination of professional training and licensure in mental health, addictions, and trauma has prepared me to help men who often struggle with various combinations of these issues. When looking for a therapist, it is important to choose someone with the expertise to speak into these areas and the complex interactions between them. I also have a background in Christian missions and Bible teaching and incorporate this to whatever extent you desire. Together we can get you there. I have a rare combination of characteristics and training that make me uniquely well-suited to help men along their journey towards growth, healing, and freedom. And that is exactly what I’d like to do for you. If any of this resonates with you, send me an email, or call me to set up an appointment and get started. Let’s get down to work.

I excell at helping people recognize and bring mindful curiosity to their internal and external experiences, so that they can identify their true selves’ values and goals, understand thoughts and emotions in a different way, and learn strategies to promote overall wellness, increase positive relationships and connections, and decrease distress. At the root of my work is my belief that by managing and tolerating uncomfortable emotions, we can live intentionally, in accordance with our value systems. Utilizing the Eastern traditions of mindfulness and the Western traditions of cognitive-behavior therapy, my goal is to help people view times of stress and transition as the unprecedented opportunities for growth that they actually present. My training and clinical expertise is focused on treatment of stress and transition, with specialized focus on anxiety disorders, body focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs including trichotillomania and excoriation disorder), and cognitive behavioral treatment of insomnia. I have a deep understanding of learning disorders and ad/hd and can often support my clients in navigating difficulties impacted by learning and attention. I currently work with individuals ages 18 and above, with a strong focus on supporting women and young adults. Please contact me and we can determine if I'm a good fit for your needs.
