I came to this field out of a lifetime of curiosity about others and myself. My hope is to help channel your own curiosity and facilitate a journey of self-discovery, understanding, and renewed hope. The grief that comes from loss or change isn’t something to “get over” or “heal” from. Instead, I see grief as an experience that evolves and matures as we learn to adapt to our new reality and integrate these difficult changes into life after loss. None of us are exempt from experiencing grief, mourning, or large life changes. I’ve been there. That’s why I hope you will feel safe bringing me along on your journey. When I am not counseling, I am probably out there dealing with this messy life just like you, training for my next half marathon, at a yoga class or spending time with my family and friends. They would tell you I’m a great listener, caring, and empathetic. They might also share my penchant for bad puns and that I spend an inordinate amount of time planning my next meal. You might also want to know that I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (License # CSW003949) who received her MSW from the Smith College School for Social Work in 2004 and received a BA in Psychology from the University of Vermont. I have worked in various care settings including Inpatient, Outpatient and Managed Care. I have experience treating individuals and couples with a range of issues including eating disorders, marital issues and grief. I offer free 15 minute consultations. Anxiety, depression, parenting, and work life balance are a few of many things that we are faced with each day, in addition to people asking us to perform despite being weighed down by those challenges. Who we are and who we want to be may not always align with who we are expected to be. Through our work together, we will explore boundaries, educational tools, and coping skills to rise to resilience and show up each day as our best self despite life’s hardships. Awareness is the foundation for change, and we will work together to enhance our personal awareness to build a more functional and peace filled existence.

Traditional, at the office therapy, has become a thing of the past. We understand some still might have a preference for it, and believe it’s actually best suited for children under the age of 8. Having said that, we strive to stay ahead of the curve and provide our clients the best therapy available. Yes, we do this by having an amazing group of therapists, and also by providing convenient counseling that fits the needs of our clients. Working with your therapist through easy to use online therapy is a practical and smart solution in today’s world. We also work with young people who are attending school or dealing with transitions in life that can cause stress, tense feelings and overall discomfort.
It all starts with a good therapist. Hi, I’m Dr. Dominique Thomas. I specialize in supporting students who feel overwhelmed, stretched thin, or like they’re carrying more than people realize. Many of the students I work with are balancing academics, mental health, family expectations, and relationship struggles, all while trying to figure out who they are and what matters most to them. If your mind feels like it’s always going, or you’re juggling a lot emotionally and mentally, you’re not alone band you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I work best with students navigating ADHD, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, identity questions, family conflict, and relationship challenges. You might be the strong one in your circle, the first in your family to pursue higher education, or someone who shows up for others while silently burning out. This space is for you. In therapy, we’ll explore the patterns and pressures shaping your experience and create practical, affirming strategies that actually work for your life. My approach is warm, culturally sensitive, and collaborative. I meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be with more clarity, confidence, and peace. If you’re feeling stuck, misunderstood, or just emotionally exhausted, know that support is available and healing is possible. I’m here to walk with you.
Hi! I work with children, teens, adults, and families to help them meet their goals and improve their overall well-being. My approach is warm, creative, and client-centered—I tailor each session to fit your needs and comfort level. As a Registered Art Therapist and talk therapist, I believe in the healing power of creativity. Art can help you process complex emotions, build coping skills, and find hope and resilience. You don’t need to be an artist to benefit from art therapy—it's about expression and exploration, not perfection. If art isn’t your thing, that’s totally okay too! I also use traditional talk therapy approaches.

I’m passionate about helping adolescents and adults feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered. I provide Trauma-Informed Care, which means I view behaviors as reflections of deeper experiences—not simply choices. Many trauma responses are often misunderstood as “bad behaviors,” but when we take time to understand the experiences behind them, we can begin to identify new ways to heal, grow, and build healthy coping skills. Outside of therapy, I enjoy playing with my dog, going to the gym, and watching football My ideal clients are teens and young adults who may be struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, depression, challenges at school, home, relationships, and life transitions. I utilize CBT, DBT and Collaborative Problem Solving to address ways to meet your goals, and I can tailor interventions that are unique to you. If you’re ready to begin your healing journey or help you feel more confident and understood, I would be honored to walk alongside you. I provide services for all Georgia residents via telehealth and in person for Atlanta-based clients

I specialize in the treatment of substance use, trauma, and anxiety disorders. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and have extensive experience with young adults and women.
Welcome! I am a trauma-informed, liberation-oriented art therapist offering virtual therapy for young adults in Georgia. I take a systems-based approach to mental health, considering the mind-body connection, the health of relationships, and the impacts of systemic oppression. I advocate for collective liberation as a key aspect of trauma healing and prioritize creating an affirming and accessible space for 2SLGBTQIA+, BIPOC, neurodivergent, and disabled or chronically ill folks. As an art therapist, I believe that creating art can help to express emotions, regulate the nervous system, and communicate with the self and others. Options for incorporating art therapy include visual journaling, creating eco-art with natural materials, integrating digital art, making zines, and more. Anyone can benefit from art therapy, regardless of their artistic background, as the focus is on the process and personal reflection, without judgment or pressure to perform! My approach to therapy is holistic and non-pathologizing, incorporating strength-based and person-centered approaches to honor your inner wisdom and celebrate your resilience and growth. I also integrate mindfulness, attachment theory, and somatic practices to support you with finding balance and feeling grounded.
I have been counseling clients for over 25 years, helping people from all walks of life to overcome barriers to living a healthier and happier life. I have especially enjoyed working with college students who may struggle with increased levels of stress, anxiety or depression or have difficulty feeling comfortable and supported in this new environment. Whether you are struggling with addiction issues, depression, anxiety, anger, sexual identity issues, relationship issues, feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, or seeking a deeper sense of purpose and meaning, we can work together to find solutions. Life can be full of pain and struggle, but it is also full of beauty and inspiration. If you have become overwhelmed by the struggle, let's begin today to lighten your burden. I offer a safe, non-judgmental place for you to share your challenges and deepest needs. I believe you have the ability to succeed and thrive when given the right tools and support. I can help you manage overwhelming emotions more effectively, to recognize and change self-defeating patterns of thinking and behaving and to heal from past traumas. In a world that can be very isolating, we all need a place where we can feel deeply heard and understood. I have such gratitude for the help and support I received along the way in my own therapy to overcome challenges and become the best version of myself. I would love to give you this same gift and would consider it a privilege to share in your journey.
Hello and welcome! Life can feel like a lot sometimes. You might be feeling overwhelmed by academic pressure, anxiety or depression, questioning your path, navigating complicated relationships, or trying to hold it all together while everyone else seems to be thriving. College and student life can bring growth and independence, but also burnout, impostor syndrome, loneliness, and identity questions. You don’t have to navigate it alone. I specialize in working with students experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and family or relationship challenges. Many of the clients I work with are untangling complex family dynamics, healing from past experiences, or learning how to set boundaries while honoring their cultural or personal values. I also support neurodiverse clients, including those with ADHD and executive functioning challenges, and understand the stress that can come from masking or feeling misunderstood in academic spaces. My approach blends cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic therapy, meaning we’ll look at both present patterns and deeper roots. Together, we’ll build insight, strengthen coping skills, and help you develop a more supportive and realistic inner voice. Therapy with me is collaborative — we’ll reflect, challenge patterns, and even laugh when it fits. I am committed to providing affirming, culturally responsive care for diverse clients, including BIPOC, neurodiverse, and LGBTQ+ individuals. If you’re exploring identity, belonging, or navigating systems that weren’t built with you in mind, that work is welcome here. I aim to create a space where you can show up as you are — warm, supportive, and real (not drive-thru mental health care). I am currently an Associate Professional Counselor (APC), working toward full licensure under the guidance of Lauren Vaughan-D'Angelo, LPC, CPCS. I provide virtual therapy for clients across Georgia, with evening and weekend availability. My standard rate is $125, and I accept select insurance plans as well as self-pay. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to help keep therapy accessible and within reach. If you’re wondering whether we’re a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute phone “vibe check.”
In my clinical work, I thoroughly enjoy getting to know clients and their families. The most important aspect is to provide a safe and comfortable environment so clients can form a trusting, open, honest relationship in order to facilitate change. On my end, that requires relatability as well as sincerity to meet the client where they are as well as embracing their individualized experiences. The overarching goal is to get each client to overcome personal obstacles, reach their full potential, strengthen or improve their relationship with family members, and learn appropriate skills to help them succeed in the everyday world. As all people have unique strengths and interests, treatment plans are individualized to ensure that they match the person's needs. Whether that is lessening the burden of anxious thoughts, learning how to get oneself out of a depressed mood state, teaching skills to help calm down when agitated, or discussing social interactions to feel more comfortable, each individual requires their own road map. I enjoy applying a person-centered, strength-based approach as well as weaving in cognitive-behavioral techniques. Counselling sessions are goal-driven; however, goals are developed in a cooperative manner, including the client, myself, and (when appropriate), other family members
When I was a sophomore in college I was diagnosed with a chronic illness. It was a devastating time for me, juggling numerous doctor’s appointments, going to school, having a part-time job, and witnessing the beginning of the end of my parents’ marriage. I eventually got to a point a few years later, after getting married and moving away from home, that I just couldn’t continue pretending like everything was okay. Getting out of bed was a struggle, and so was being motivated to do anything. That was the first time I seeked out therapy, and it had a profound impact on my life. I was able to find new purpose and confidence, which started my own journey of being a counselor, because I wanted to help other people through their tough times. Now I am fortunate to be able to support other women as they work through the difficult periods of their lives, redefining themselves, setting goals, and finding renewed purpose. Let me assist you in doing just that!
At Modern Path, we utilize evidence and strength approaches with a focus on individualized care. Each of us has specialties that reflect the unique needs of gender, sexuality, and relationship structure minorities.
I am currently accepting new clients! Poor boundaries, putting others first, fear of outcomes, and lack of self-trust leads to people-pleasing, perfectionism, self-doubt, hurt feelings, resentment, poor self-esteem, unhealthy relationships, anxiety, depression, etc., ultimately is what leads people to therapy! Most people have not learned how to handle uncomfortable situations in healthy ways that feel comfortable specifically to them. Allow me to guide you with trusting yourself enough to choose you each time regardless of the outcome! When we put ourselves first, we will show up as our best selves! I specialize in a wide range of issues including depression/anxiety, coping with life transitions, communication in relationships, and parenting. I enjoy working with women, men, couples, and families with a myriad of challenges. I provide a supportive, culturally competent, judgment-free environment, specifically tailored to your individual needs. I incorporate a person-centered approach with interventions from, solution-focused, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. My clients love my down-to-earth personality which allows them to let their guard down, trust and share! We are all different for a reason and learning self-awareness is key to understanding and accepting, changing thoughts and behaviors.
