Hi! I am Kaye Davis and I am a Licensed professional counselor in the heart of the classic city of Athens, GA. I have years of experience working with those individuals who are attending school, graduating, or even staff members that struggle with mental health stress. I believe you all are the experts on your life, and I am here to just walk alongside of you as you navigate this thing we call life. I have years of experience as a Collegiate basketball coach and also former athlete myself at Berry College in Rome, GA. I have a different quirky style of therapy, but at the end of the day, my number one goal is to provide you the ability to talk and explore areas that are strengths but also while looking at growth opportunities. I would also encourage you to find YOUR fit for therapist. Not every therapist is the right fit initially. I believe thru open honest communication things can be worked out where we can find a therapist will work that will be a connection that is helpful and meaningful. How about you take the step for yourself and find relief.
I believe real behavioral changes can be accomplished while developing insight about your belief systems and way of being in the world. I utilize a myriad of modalities to address trauma, crises of meaning and purpose, and difficulties with life transitions. I approach treatment with beliefs in Adlerian Psychology and Psychodamic Psychology. Students experience a unique time of their lives that can be fulfilling, intense, and even a little fun. However, there exist challenges during this period of time concerning identity and purpose. I can be instrumental in navigating these challenges to significantly improving the quality of your life. I am on several insurance panels. Please give me a call at 678-573-8000

Life is hard. For many of us, we often become overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, loneliness, uncertainty, fear, you name it. To make things worse, we experience trauma and discover that some of our deepest wounds come from our relationships. Of course, we want to protect ourselves from relationships, change, and the unknown. I get that. From working in schools, residential facility, and private practice setting, I've learned that there is also something inside each of us that yearns for healing, loving connection, and pure joy. So, what is getting in the way? Let's explore that together. I have a non-judgmental and compassionate approach when providing counseling for individuals. What that means is I relate to you as another imperfect human being who understands the impact of trauma, life transitions, stress, anxiety and several other factors that affect our day-to-day lives. I will offer you a space to freely explore your struggles and opportunities for healing. Let’s be real, we don’t know each other and it’s going to feel weird at first to share your story with me. I thank you for even considering. Sometimes the hardest step is the first one. I recognize and respect that. Whenever you’re ready, I am ready to join you. You don't have to figure it out on your own.
