Therapists for college students near Indianapolis, IN
I am so glad you are here. I am Angelica (she/her/hers), and I am a clinical social worker, who is a recovering people pleaser. I cant deny a cozy coffee shop and a decadent pastry. I am an excellent listener who can appreciate the uncomfortable silence, because that is where I find the most growth occurs. I work with students who have struggled to meet their own emotional needs. They are trying to relearn the balance of being a student, friend, and figuring out life’s next step. The ones who struggle to say that without taking care of themselves, they cant take care of anyone else around them. My goal is for you to view yourself as the beautiful person you are mentally, physically, and emotionally. Contact me at angelica@finding-balance-therapy.com or call/text me at (765)233-6968
Help me, help you. Taking a step toward beginning therapy is brave and you aren’t alone! Though it may feel daunting initially, therapy can be quite rewarding. I find joy in discovering strengths in others they may not notice in themselves, while providing practical tools, resources, and support. I value being part of the Social Work field and have worked with a wide range of ages and diagnoses through home-based and telehealth therapy services, outpatient substance use treatment, and outpatient groups for Veterans. I most often work with individuals hoping to navigate symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to help others through a variety of approaches while navigating life changes, stressors, mental health symptoms, and improving family dynamics. With my areas of experience, I hope to help you take the next step and support you through your process. I look forward to partnering with you to set and achieve your goals.
We are a private practice that specializes in immigrant mental health. Our practice is made up of mostly 1st and 2nd generation immigrants, of which most speak another language (Spanish). We believe that the first generation experience is unique and should be handled in a delicate and trauma-informed way.

“Why am I like this?” Not enough... too much...! You’ve always felt misunderstood by the people closest to you, and here you are AGAIN attempting to find a therapist that gets you. The more you're misunderstood by others, the more you lose touch with yourself. A new medication, googling life's problems, scrolling your fyp for answers to why life seems to hate you. Your relationships are shallow and dissatisfying... more like... nonexistent. It's hard to connect when you are deep and different. Life is fucking lonely. You’re ready to start liking yourself. Fear won't hold you back from working through the hard shit anymore! I want you to know that your idea of your ideal life is what matters to me most. I value authenticity, transparency, and humanness in my office, because your "weird" isn't really that weird at all! I specialize in working with misunderstood rebels and rule benders who want to be SEEN for who they really are rather than what others want them to be.

Amanda Zolman is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and graduate of Butler University where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology while competing in NCAA Division I Cross Country and Track and Field as a student-athlete. She obtained her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Indianapolis and completed her clinical training at both Butler University Counseling & Consultation Services and IU Methodist Hospital's Addition Treatment & Recovery Center. Before creating Thrive Counseling Services, she served as an outpatient therapist and clinical supervisor at a group private practice in Carmel, Indiana for almost 10 years where she provided individual and family therapy and crisis intervention services. Amanda has worked with a diverse range of individuals in terms of socioeconomic status, age, ethnicity, gender, and presenting concerns. She has a solid understanding of the challenges faced by adolescents and adults and is passionate about assisting individuals in improving their mental health, enhancing their life experiences, and empowering them to be a part of their own growth. She is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and accepting therapeutic environment and prioritizes the development of a trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship to allow each individual to gain insight and develop skills to assist them in addressing their presenting concerns. ***All therapy services are currently being provided virtually via a secure online platform (Telemental Health)*** For individuals who have difficulties finding time in their busy schedule, the convenience and flexibility of online therapy makes this a great option. Because you are able to have sessions in a private area of your choosing and will not need to commute to and from sessions, you can be more efficient with your time. Whether you decide to sit at a park, in your bedroom, or in a private space on campus such as a library study room, it's up to you. Wherever you choose to be during your sessions, know that you will receive the same professional support and assistance through online therapy as you would for in-person services.
Whenever you may feel overwhelmed by life, making a decision to participate in emotional therapy sessions can be beneficial. Collaborating with a trained professional to manage the complexity of what you may be facing has been proven to be effective in learning life-long skills. These skills and experiences can help in building your own wisdom in life to better live in ways that fit what you value and what is important to you
