Why does it always feel like the to-do list is never-ending and what’s done is never quite enough? You are diligent about keeping on top of things and it’s gotten you pretty far. Yet, you find yourself asking “I’m running myself ragged for this?” Work-life balance? Who has time for that! Well, you are not alone. Like you, the individuals I work with tend to be busy, successful, professionals who feel stressed, anxious, and unsatisfied and struggle with burnout and imposter syndrome. They seem like they have it all together but live in fear of dropping the ball while trying to juggle all the other ones in the air. Sound familiar? The good news is that it doesn’t have to be this way. I help you sort out what needs to change and how to create a life where you feel excited and fulfilled. None of that is easy, but it is doable. My approach is genuine, kind, and challenging with a bit of cheerleader because we all need a friendly push sometimes with someone encouraging us along the way. You’re busy and don’t have time or energy to spend on things that don’t work. I use evidence-based strategies customized to meet your unique needs. Together we’ll create a plan that works for you. I offer individual therapy exclusively online as well as other services such as workshops and mindfulness. Contact me for a free consultation.

My practice is unique for the variance in working with children, adults, families, groups and couples therapy. Also in the type of issues such as trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, self-harm and more. I give back to the profession by providing supervision for students of social work, Certified Social Workers for licensure and provide trainings for licensed therapists to become supervisors. I enjoy seeing even the most minute changes in a person as they move forward in life.

I have been working with the college population throughout my career and I am aware of the unique challenges students face. If you feel that you are constantly fighting an upward battle, that no one understands your pain, that you don't know how to get out of "the pit," I am here for you. As an international psychologist trained in counseling and sport psychology, I am especially passionate about working with students of minority identities and student athletes. I also love working with couples regarding all kinds of relationship concerns. I enjoy laughing with my students in therapy, sometimes crying too, and that's okay.

Help for Anxiety and Trauma: Do you struggle with overthinking, people-pleasing, restlessness, or feeling lonely? Do you run from one thing to the next? Do you put off lunch and bathroom breaks until your body is shouting for your attention? You work to fix things. You read self-development books, exercise, try to eat well, and stay hydrated. Part of you thinks you could do more -and do better. I can help. Together, we create a weekly therapy that both honors the strengths of hustle culture, and creates the experience of something different: being present in the moment, a sense of connection, etc. Whether problem-solving or overthinking, your mind is a powerhouse. In therapy, we use this strength while also building your literacy in your body and emotions. It's experiential. Consider: How do you know when a person is sitting too close to you? Attention to that body-level sense of knowing is what sets this approach apart from other talk therapy. Therapy can help you experience a felt sense of safety within yourself and in the external world -becoming a launching pad to whatever you choose. And yet the things bringing you to therapy are the same things that make it difficult to reach out to a therapist. Watch my introduction video (https://vimeo.com/1042175031) to get a vibe check, then book a consultation to find out whether we're a good fit.

Life can be difficult. Counseling shouldn't be. When you’re struggling to cope with the challenges in your life, starting therapy is a courageous step toward change. In a complex world, we believe in straightforward, compassionate support. There are no bad parts of you. When you’re struggling to understand some challenging aspect of your life, it’s easy to say, “that’s just who I am” and label this part as unfixable or “bad”. Therapy is about creating a relationship with all the parts of you. We help you understand the connection between the actions you take, and the way you feel in a process that allows you to live in harmony with your whole self. You don’t have to accept your past – just love the person who survived it.

As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), I specialize in providing highly tailored therapeutic support and executive functioning coaching exclusively to college students at Indiana University and around the country. I understand that guiding a young adult through the collegiate transition from afar can be incredibly stressful for families. My practice is deliberately structured to help students build resilience, while providing out-of-town parents with comprehensive advisory support and absolute peace of mind. Whether your student is navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, or a deficit in motivation and executive functioning, my goal is to deliver proactive, highly structured intervention. Through our bespoke consulting packages, we ensure students thrive both academically and personally, without falling through the cracks of large university systems. Specialized Therapeutic & Executive Function Support I provide focused, high-touch support tailored to the unique academic and personal demands of the college years, including: Executive Functioning & Motivation: Installing robust weekly schedules, study rules, and workflows to combat paralysis and build self-driven habits. Targeted Mental Health Care: Private therapeutic support for college-specific challenges, including anxiety, depression, and substance use. Academic Monitoring: Ongoing oversight, accountability check-ins, and early-warning risk detection to catch issues before they escalate into academic crises. Parent Advisory & Coaching: Direct guidance on establishing healthy boundaries, utilizing our Parent Oversight Framework, and navigating complex family dynamics. Why Families Choose Our Practice Bespoke Support Tiers: From targeted Individual Counseling, theSemester Launch setups or my 12-month Semester Concierge engagements, we provide the exact level of intervention your family requires. Executive-Level Advisory: We act as a "family office" for your students well-being, providing parents with regular status briefs and clear guidance on what to monitor versus what to ignore. Proactive Risk Containment: We do not wait for a crisis. We install systems, monitor academic progress, and coordinate a proactive strategy to ensure consistency and long-term independence. Recognized Authority: As the author of The Insiders Guide to Parenting and The Insider's Guide to College, and host of The Better Semester podcast, my frameworks are grounded in nearly 25 years of specialized clinical experience. Background & Expertise With a Master's degree in Community Counseling and extensive clinical training, I have dedicated my career to collegiate mental health. My approach combines evidence-based therapeutic practices with strategic, high-level advisory. I partner closely with families globally to reduce friction, establish clarity, and create a master plan for their young adult's success. To explore our consulting tiers and find the level of intervention that matches your family's needs, please contact our office directly to schedule a private consultation.

In the treatment of eating disorders and eating related concerns, Dr. Duffy works from an integrative approach and often uses methods from cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and interpersonal theories. She sees eating disorders as a multidimensional disorder and thus strongly believes in a multidisciplinary approach. This means that individuals with eating disorders most often have psychological, medical, and nutritional causes and consequences of their disorder and require treatment in each area for a full recovery. With written permission from the client, she works with local dietitians and physicians to provide collaborative care. In addition to work around eating disorders and eating-related concerns, therapy will also address related issues such as anxiety, depression, and family concerns.
