I specialize in providing individual therapy to adults experiencing OCD and/or eating disorders. I can also provide support for other mental health issues, including: depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, trauma, mood disorders, and substance misuse. I also help clients navigate life's common problems, including relationship issues, work stress, identity development, and grief. I periodically offer support groups for OCD and eating disorders. I will be seeing clients in person in Pittsburgh starting in August 2023. I can see clients in Massachusetts via telehealth but I am not accepting any telehealth clients at this time.

I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life transitions when fear, panic, and OCD interfere with daily functioning and longer-term progress. With compassion and experience, I aim to empower you to overcome obstacles, develop resilience, and achieve emotional well-being. I use evidence-based treatments of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP), as well as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to help you experience symptom relief and work toward future goals. I have a particular interest in women’s mental health, recognizing the immense physical and emotional challenges that accompany pregnancy, motherhood, and menopause. Having raised three children of my own (ages 17, 21, and 23), I have developed a mature perspective on problem-solving and empowering other women toward strength and adaptability. I offer support to parents around parenthood, raising young children and teenagers, and approaching and managing “empty” nests. I also have experience working with children and adolescents struggling with acute anxiety. I hold an undergraduate degree from Cornell University and am pursuing my Master’s degree in Social Work at Boston College. College is a challenge, on its own, in many ways. It can cause significant stress as well as trigger new or exacerbate existing mental health symptoms. Having space to work through the stress or symptoms you are experiencing can be incredibly beneficial (e.g. reduced stress, increased happiness, decrease in symptoms and/or severity, etc.), which can contribute to greater success and a greater overall experience during these years. I believe in creating a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental, and confidential therapy space that respects all identities and backgrounds where people can feel free to be their most authentic selves.
