The most important part of therapy is building a good rapport with the individual to create a safe and comfortable space. Therapy isn't always easy and neither is the decision to find a therapist; working to ensure clients are comfortable with me and helping them to identify their goals so that the treatment trajectory is predictable, but allows for space to talk about day to day events, if needed. Lastly, ensuring client and therapist personalities align is important as it only enhances the sense of safety and the capacity for positive rapport growth. There is no one intervention that is best for one person. Therefore, I operate with an eclectic combination and knowledge of multiple interventions and techniques as a way to provide the best and most effective strength based and unique treatment. Treatment interventions are individualized in order to align with the identified treatment plan and goals. Individuals have experienced a multitude of events throughout their lives that connect to and impact their capacity to function as they wish within the world today. One persons experiences are never compared or judged; everyone is always doing the best they can in those moments and I want to work with them to help increase what their best looks or feels like.
Thank you for stopping by! I'm Jenn! College is an incredible time where we are gaining independence and working towards our next phase of life while figuring out where we belong, what our next steps will be, and hopefully having some fun while we do it! My passion is working with young adults in helping them to better understand themselves, figure out where they want to go next, and navigate a new world of responsibility. As someone who spent 4 years in undergrad and 3 years in grad school myself, I know how hard it can be to be away from home, trying to figure out where you fit in both on campus and in the world as whole. Mental health needs don't stop because we've got work to do... in fact, they can feel much worse when accompanied by the additional demands of being a college student, being away from home, and not wanting to let your family down. Whether you could use some help deciding on a career path, adjusting to the change from high school to college, or are struggling with low self-esteem, lack of confidence, anxiety, stress, or relationship issues, I will work collaboratively with you, building on your strengths and what is important to you while helping to guide you towards the goals you would like to achieve, even if you're not quite sure what those goals are just yet!

I listen and work with students with an open mind, offering a non-judgmental, compassionate, and culturally sensitive approach to therapy. My goal is to empower students to achieve personal growth and emotional resilience.

You're studying nursing because you want to make a difference in the world. But it doesn't feel like you thought it would. You are faced with challenges in clinical that were never talked about in the classroom. By the end of the day, you're numb and exhausted. You spend your nights looking up how to transfer to a different major. You are spending your weekends watching the same show on repeat and wondering if this is really the college experience everyone talks about. Therapy designed specifically for nursing students focuses on creating a restorative space where you can finally slow down and process the emotions you push aside to make it through the day. We will talk about how to maintain self-care and balance while you study one of the hardest majors and learn the coping tools and boundaries needed to support ongoing success in your profession. Hi and welcome! Do you wish life would slow down so you can take a breath? Stuff has been piling up and now your relationships are strained, your social life isn't what you want, and you don’t even really know who you are. Clients come to me looking to connect with a fellow human whose been there because therapy is a place where you feel genuinely seen & valued. Together we'll collaborate to achieve what you envision for your life and create lasting change. I help my client make sense of the confusing and messy parts of life. Areas of specific focus are: anxiety, self esteem, sex, relationships, life changes, identity exploration and development, sibling relationships, and more providing neurodivergent and queer affirming care. Many of my clients have had troubles connecting with other therapists or are hesitant to start the process. I get it! Vulnerability is scary as hell and the idea of therapy can be intimidating. I hold such gratitude to offer a space that feels safe & open to allow those I work with to freely explore themselves. I deeply value the relationship between a person & their therapist and prioritize nurturing this connection to make our work together the most meaningful for you. My role is to listen, offer perspective, and provide supportive challenge & guidance to empower you in supporting yourself as you continue to move through life. I tell my clients: at the end of the day, I’m here to work myself out of a job. Therapy with me integrates talking, exercises, and – brace yourself – sometimes homework between sessions to practice what we’re working on. Together, we will cultivate healthy habits, gain tools to navigate life's changes, identify unhelpful patterns, & discover or reconnect with your truest self. I believe we all have the capacity to heal and grow. Warm, intentional support during that journey can make all the difference. Through my own experiences, I know how powerful human connection can be in achieving change. I also know the therapist you trust for help is an important choice. My goal is to foster a space where all parts of you feel truly understood & aligned. So, I take my time to listen and learn about YOU – your circumstances, inclinations, past experiences, and desires to tailor my approach in ways that best serve you and your goals. I uplift and affirm BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and Kink communities, and all forms of identity expression, lifestyles, and relationships.
