I specialize in working with those struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety and life transitions. I believe relationships matter, knowing that change can only happen when you feel supported and valued. Together, we will work to understand your needs in a judgment-free environment and identify the exact tools that can help you to manage life stressors. I use a a systems-based perspective in my practice, which considers the smaller pieces of our lives that add up to who we are as a person. Think of it like baking- all the ingredients (systems) come together to make the cake (the whole person). In our work together we will identify the specific systems that are impacting your well-being and how you can use you own power to adjust these systems as needed. I use DBT skills, CBT skills and mindfulness-based interventions to help us understand how to best support your systems. I am caring and compassionate, working alongside you to reach your best self. I know that every person is deserving of reaching their highest potential and find it an honor and a privilege to be a part of the process. I am currently providing Telemed therapy in Connecticut and Massachusetts. I look forward to being a part of your healing journey!

To establish a relationship with a therapist takes time and can be rewarding when you are able to build trust, knowing you are able to confide and share your perspective, your story. This process allows the individual the opportunity to gain clarity in a setting that is confidential and accepting. All too often emotional/physical pain can have a significant impact on our ability to remain independent, self-reliant, engaged in everyday tasks and life roles at level of independence that is rewarding to oneself and those they care for. As an Occupational Therapist with a background in behavioral health, I take a holistic approach. As an Occupational Therapist I have assisted many clients in understanding how their performance patterns, habits, routines, and roles influence life satisfaction. This process allows my clients the opportunity to promote, establish (or restore), or modify a task within a life role to create a sense of control over ones life. My background and 25 year experience have demonstrated success in supporting clients who experience physical/emotional pain and reduced functional independence. My ability to allow an individual to feel safe, acknowledged, and empowered while developing the tools and skills necessary for emotional stability, greater independence, and an effective resource.

Hey, I’m Alexandra. Life can be exciting, but it also brings its fair share of stress, uncertainty, and tough decisions. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, facing a big change, or just trying to figure things out, you don’t have to go through it alone. My goal is to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, build confidence, and create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. I take a flexible approach, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centered Therapy, and other effective methods to help you gain clarity, identify what really matters to you, and take action toward your goals.
When painful things happen in our lives, we do our best to cope with it in the moment. That might mean we get really good at “just dealing with it,” and “toughing it out.” Maybe we get really good at “checking out,” or maybe we become super skilled at coming up with clever ways to altogether avoid triggering situations. At one point in time, these skills served you well. And maybe they don’t any longer. Often, underneath these patterns anxiety and depression flood every day, drowning out our resources and making life difficult to enjoy. But changing these patterns and finding new hope can seem like an impossible feat. So often we know something is off because of what we feel in our bodies. Your heart starts pounding, that turning in your stomach, breathing feels tight, maybe you feel disconnected. The key to finding relief is not just about thinking differently. I am a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist and offer body-based techniques for approaching these issues. When we can tune into our bodies as well as our thoughts, we can begin to take control of our lives. I believe that you ultimately know what’s best for your own life. Sometimes it can feel scary to start therapy. What I usually tell my clients is “you’re in the driver’s seat.” I’m the copilot and have a map, and can point things out that maybe you didn’t see from your vantage point. Let’s figure this out together. Call or email for a free consultation.
Clients come to me when they feel overwhelmed in life. The challenge is that the college experience can exacerbate these issues. It can be hard to navigate not only the academic expectations, but also the issues in our relationships. College is a unique and fleeting experience. I would be happy to support you in managing stressors to make this a positive experience. Our work together is based on radical kindness, cultural understanding, and empathy.
At Martin Wellness Group we have always had extreme empathy for people and their challenges. During sessions we strive to make our clients feel safe and comfortable while using an individualized approach to customize our time together. We aim to help our clients meet their goals and feel a sense of trust.

I am currently scheduling patients for both in-person (PA/NJ) and telehealth (PA/NJ/MA) appointments. I welcome patients who are looking for medication management, therapy, a second opinion, or any combination of the above. My interests include diagnostic clarification of mood/anxiety/attention disorders, evaluation of young adults who may be seeking help for the first time, and treatment of substance use disorders that often present with other common diagnoses. I offer comprehensive treatment, taking into consideration not only whether a patient has a medical illness, but also discussing lifestyle, substance use, relationships and other factors that could be affecting an individual's mental health. When indicated, I may recommend the use of psychiatric medications in conjunction with therapy.
I specialize in supporting individuals through some of life's most tender and transformative moments: major life transitions, chronic health concerns, bereavement, shifts in identity, pregnancy and postpartum well-being and more. These are experiences that can shake us to our core — and they deserve more than a surface-level approach. Healing here doesn't have to look one way. Each session draws from somatic awareness, mindfulness, creativity, & talk therapy — tailored to what feels right for you. Through this whole-person approach, we'll work together to reconnect with your resilience, release what no longer serves you, and find your way back to yourself — toward peace & fulfillment My work is grounded in my training as an Art Therapist (ATR) and Psychotherapist (LPC/LCMHC), alongside study in somatic and polyvagal work, mindfulness-based practices, and attachment theory. I'd love to support you through whatever you're carrying. Please don't hesitate to reach out.

Colorful Resilience is a Queer-Afro-Latina-owned outpatient mental health services office in West Springfield, Massachusetts. We proudly provide therapy – primarily, but not exclusively – to BIPOC, LGBTQ+, First Generation, and immigrant folks. For clients in the Western MA area, we offer in-person consultations and virtually for those all across Massachusetts. Due to a lack of clinical representation and cultural competency in the mental health field, the BIPOC, LGBTQ+, First Generation, and immigrant communities have historically been underserved. Colorful Resilience hopes to remedy such disparity by ensuring all our team members are representatives of the communities we serve, fearless allies, or both. Not only utilizing education but also lived experiences to provide the most relevant behavioral health services.
Hi! My name is Katie Kalina, a licensed independent clinician with over 6 years of experience. I believe that everyone deserves to be heard and healed, and that as your therapist, it's my job to meet you exactly where you're at. One of my specialties is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). This is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Eye movement (or other bilateral stimulation) is used to work on one memory at a time for the mind to heal. I have worked with individuals and groups of all ages, from children to teens and adults through anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, body image issues, relationship issues, and anger management. As your therapist, I will make it my mission to make you feel at home in our sessions. Once we meet, I will help you set goals and devise a plan that will make you transform in the ways that you wish to. Looking forward to completing this journey with you and bringing you ongoing success. About me: I have a strong belief in therapy because I've successfully used it. I've had my own personal exploration into suffering and I've made my way out of these fogs by utilizing the support of others. It is my experience that no one lives their best life alone. Connection has the capacity to offer regulation and engender strength. I honor my sense of humanity that allows me to tend and befriend others, and take joy in my sense of playfulness that can bring a smile or a laugh to someone at the just the right moment. About my work: I work through an integrated lens, currently drawing on EFT, neuroscience, mindfulness, and positive psychology to explore how lifestyle, relationships, and early experiences shape our wellbeing. I also use the power of storytelling to help reframe the limiting narratives we carry about ourselves. Lately, I've been doing meaningful work with clients navigating OCD tendencies, using approaches including ERP and ACT. I am also working to expand my expertise through continued education in somatic approaches, chronic illness and premenstrual disorders, to support the full complexity of what my clients carry. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, to help people trust themselves again, and to help them recommit to life — through the big things and the small. About my credentials: I graduated from Lesley University with a MA in Mental Health Counseling in 2018. I am a Massachusetts licensed mental health counselor with experience in a variety of outpatient therapeutic settings. I welcome your questions.
