I utilize a trauma-informed, person-in-environment approach that recognizes the importance of both individual and environmental factors that influence a person's well-being and behavior. There is no "one size fits all" approach, therefore I adopt techniques from varying practice modalities to best meet the needs of each individual client. I specialize in providing compassionate support for individuals navigating through trauma, including those impacted by violence, medical issues, and workplace burnout. I aid clients facing grief, life transitions, or heartbreak, fostering resilience and healing amidst challenges. I believe that my clients are the experts in their own lives, therefore I provide a compassionate, safe, and inviting environment for those who are on their journey for self-discovery & healing.

I am a pre-Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT). If you are feeling anxious, exploring your identities, transitioning to different cultures, environments, or age groups, I am here for you. I create a safe space for you to be heard and feel authentic. Being fluent in Japanese and coming from a different cultural background, my approach is rooted in understanding diverse emotional and cultural perspectives of my clients. I have experience providing individual and group therapy to clients ranging from children to adults with neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as those navigating anxiety, life and/or cultural transitions and trauma. My specialty is expressive therapies, particularly drama therapy. I can utilize drama therapy or expressive arts-based approach to tap into the creative part of yourself. Words sometimes cannot articulate everything you are feeling or experiencing, but I believe imagination, embodied expression, and play can narrate them in different ways. My goal is to support you by navigating your challenges and embracing your unique stories. If you think using words in another language other than English can express your emotions well, we can explore that too. We can find a healthy relationship with your challenges by utilizing your innate creativity. 日本語でもどうぞ!

I’m so glad you’re here! Reaching out for support is not always easy, especially when you’ve been holding so much on your own. You may be feeling anxious, down, overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin. Maybe you’re coping with stress, trauma, ADHD, relationship challenges, family expectations, or a major life change. In our work together, I hope to offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported. I believe you are the expert of your own life, and we’ll move at your pace toward healing and growth that feels meaningful to you. I help clients work through anxiety, depression, relationship stress, and major life changes. My style is warm, collaborative, culturally sensitive, and LGBTQ+ affirming. I hope therapy can be a place where you feel understood, supported, and less alone. I also offer therapy in Mandarin. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and you don’t need to have the right words or everything figured out before reaching out. Whether you’re hoping to feel less overwhelmed, understand yourself better, or find a way forward, I’d be glad to connect and take the next step with you.
