Are you dealing with challenging life circumstances such as illness, caretaking stressors, difficult romantic or family relationships, pressure or burnout in your career, poor self-esteem? Are you trying to make changes that you believe will lead to increased happiness and satisfaction but somehow these changes are not giving you the results that you had hoped for? All of us can benefit from support to manage these challenges. Therapy gives us the opportunity to live a more peaceful and rewarding life and allows us a safe space to challenge some of our existing thoughts and behaviors. I hope to assist you in learning more effective ways of engaging with yourself and the world around you. I graduated from Boston College with my Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2004 and come with more than 19 years of experience in my field. I am a licensed clinician in Massachusetts with experience helping young adults and adults from diverse backgrounds. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, which is why I take my time getting to know you without judgment. I specialize in working with clients who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression and stress in addition those who might be struggling with self-esteem and life transitions. I have extensive experience working with members of the LGBTQIA+, polyamorous, and kink communities. My approach is trauma-informed, person centered, and incorporates aspects of motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I tailor my approach to your specific needs, and welcome any feedback to best serve you. Taking the step to talk to someone can be difficult, and I aim for my clients to feel heard and respected. This is your journey, and I’m here to support you in a way that works for you.

Welcome! I offer virtual appointments, have weekday availability, and am licensed in MA, RI & VT. For all the reasons you are seeking counseling, I admire that you are here. It can feel overwhelming beginning therapy and choosing a therapist. Finding the right fit is at the root of the journey and I hope we will be a good fit for one another. I've worked in a variety of settings including community health organizations, private practice, schools, and hospitals. I bring compassion, empathy, and humor to my work. I work from an antiracist and LGBTQIA+ affirming lens. I value creating a safe, supportive, nurturing, and non-judgmental environment to explore those parts of you that are most in need. It really is ok to not feel ok. We will figure it out together, you are not alone in this journey. I'm a genderqueer & neurodivergent pet parent. Also a psychologist who practices the neuroaffective relational model (NARM®) through an anti-oppressive & queer liberation lens. Hoping for a future that feels a lot less oppressive and a lot more liberating for every single one of us. Supporting those at the intersections healing from internalized shame, oppression based & complex trauma. We will hold space for the impact of oppression while also centering your hopes for yourself. Many of the queer, trans & nonbinary adults I serve also also hold lived experiences of the following: a) neurodivergence like ADHD & autism; b) body stuff such as disability, chronic pain, & chronic illness c) race & cultural backgrounds including BIPOC, 1st-2nd gen immigrants, or mixed race/light skin; & d) those in marginalized bodies who are fighting against diet culture & weight loss industrial complex in a world that pushes body size & shape modification at all turns (e.g., trans students struggling with disordered eating recovery & fat folks trying to ground in fat liberation). I am a certified NARM therapist (Neuroaffective Relational Model), as well as a certified Body Trust Provider. My approach centers radical healing through an anti oppressive lens, cultivating shame resilience and self compassion. This includes exploring identity and navigating those 'not good enough' or 'too much' experiences that tend to trigger shame. Clinical 1:1 services via telehealth only for adults located in MA and RI, as well as telehealth in PsyPACT locations (e.g., CO, WA, IL, MD, VT, DC, MN, & CT). Only see 5-12 clients weekly. Though not a specialty, I occasionally support families, couples, and polycules. Limited availability for Tufts University Student Health Plan (UHCSR carveout). Others tend to use their out of network outpatient mental health insurance benefits for partial reimbursement. Check website to view up to date availability & complete inquiry form (website address /inquiry) - Body Trust™ provider = Anti Diet, Fat Positive, HAES informed. Esp for those healing from the harms of weight loss & diet industrial complexes. - NARM = NeuroAffective Relational Model (website /NARM) - Anti G3nocide here & abroad. - Quarterly newsletter announces openings, offerings, & trans-focused liberation (website /newsletter) Note: I also offer non-clinical & professional services for those in any location including virtual community spaces, workshops, coaching, consultation, training, and supervision.

You’re never enough. Or at least that’s how it feels. Maybe it's how much you make, how much you do, or how hard you work. Maybe it's someone else telling you that. Maybe it's your own inner voice. In any case, you're suffering—either because you're doing everything you can, or you're struggling to do anything at all. And in both cases, you feel like a failure. If this sounds like you, you're not alone. I will help you turn the suffering into struggling. Both are inevitable in this life, but struggling leads to growth and, ultimately, forward momentum. I have considerable experience with AD/HD, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and substance use. I'm comfortable working with a wide variety of ages and backgrounds, and I also bring to my work a strong understanding of issues related to race, ethnicity, and LGBT+ identities. Therapy should pay more attention to strengths than deficits. If life is an uphill battle, then we'll acknowledge your effort of trudging up that hill. I see therapy as two experts working together. If I'm an expert in mental health, you're the expert in your own life.

Feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you—around relationships, food, or how you cope with feelings—can be exhausting and isolating. Therapy can be a space where you don’t have to carry that weight alone. I strive to offer a compassionate, collaborative environment where you can feel understood and empowered to move toward meaningful change. I believe every person holds inherent inner strengths, even when they feel buried beneath pain. Together, we’ll gently explore what’s been shaping your experiences and reconnect with the internal resources that support a more fulfilling, authentic, and liberated life. I work with adults navigating emotional eating and eating disorders, addictions, trauma, relational conflicts, life transitions, challenges related to immigrant experiences, and the exploration of spiritual themes. My approach is trauma-informed and grounded in evidence-based modalities, with Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing as core components. My personal journey as a first-generation immigrant informs the way I approach therapy and deepens my respect for the cultural uniqueness of each client.

I believe finding the right therapist is a major part of successful therapy. I love to work with individuals and couples in a solution focused way where I can support them as well as provide feedback and tools to help navigate towards each person's personal goals. I love to engage with people during sessions and to make sure that they feel comfortable being their authentic selves without any reservations or fear of judgement. I offer virtual therapy for college students navigating anxiety, depression, and the overwhelm that comes with balancing academics, relationships, and independence. Many students I work with are managing the pressure of new responsibilities, identity questions, or feeling stretched too thin — I help them build tools to feel steadier and more in control. I'm bilingual (English/Spanish) and bicultural, and I especially welcome students navigating cultural identity, family expectations, or the experience of being between two worlds. Sessions are fully virtual, making it easy to fit therapy around a class schedule from anywhere in Massachusetts.
