My approach is collaborative, empathic, and interactive, creating an environment in which to help you better understand, relate to, and positively address ways in which you might feel stuck. there are a number of credentials i could share about myself and ways you might decide if i'm the right therapist for you, but honestly, between you and me, what matters is that i love this work and i believe in this work. i feel deeply humbled to hold people's stories and hearts for a living. the trust that this work requires is no small thing, and i never take that lightly. in my clinical practice, i use theories rooted in an anti-racist, queer liberation, harm reduction, and body-neutral framework. i feel most drawn to this work through an attachment-focused analytical frame. we have all been harmed in relationships, and i believe our healing must also exist in relationships. i know we cannot look at one's personal frame without understanding the systemic and cultural impact that intersectionality has had on one's own experience. i have committed to my clinical work always evolving, and we will both teach each other what comes next. i can't promise a safe place, but i can promise an accountable one. i will create the container, i will show up for rupture, and together we will build a foundation of trust to help you heal, grow, challenge, and shift the things that brought you here. i received my master's in clinical social work from silberman school of social work at hunter college in new york city. after graduation, i worked in community mental health, supporting young mothers on their journey towards recovery from opioid-based addictions. i then joined a group practice where i've worked for many years, supporting folks to heal complicated relationships with food, their bodies, their boundaries, their gender, and their sexuality. i believe i am a partner in this work with you, and as people change, heal, and move forward in their lives, i feel profoundly impacted to bear witness and be a part of your story. it is miraculous. finding the right therapist is a process: trust yourself, explore, ask hard questions. we work for you and with you. i am a white, queer, abolitionist, non-binary, dyslexic, jewish, body-liberatory therapist, and most importantly, a client. the only thing i ask of the folks i work with is a commitment to show up, and the rest we will figure out together.

Sometimes the hardest step is reaching out for help when we need it. As a therapist, it is very important to me to provide a uniquely comfortable (and at times - fun!) approach to sessions. It can be difficult to talk about some of life's challenges, so my goal is to be there to help you through it - in a way that works and feels right for you. We all have the tools within us to manage our mood, emotions, and relationships. My job is to empower you to identify and cultivate your strengths and interests to improve connections with yourself and others. The majority of my clinical work has been done in crisis, hospital, and outpatient settings, so I am very comfortable in navigating whatever challenges you may be facing, calmly and without judgment. In addition, I am certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and bring these skills to sessions to further support you. I have an extensive background working with specialized communities such as the LGBTQIA+ community and neurodivergent communities. Outside of sessions you can find me spending time with my cat (who may visit during Telehealth sessions), playing the piano, or creating a list of the best food in Boston. I am originally from Miami and I hope to bring some of that warmth to therapy sessions here in Boston. As a mental health therapist, I offer consulting services to help individuals and organizations improve their mental health and wellbeing. I work in partnership with my clients to identify areas of concern and develop customized solutions to meet their unique needs.
When you are choosing a therapist, finding the right fit really matters. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. I recognize that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I take an integrative approach that draws from evidence-based practices and is thoughtfully tailored to each client’s unique needs, strengths, goals, and personal style. For more than two decades, I have worked extensively with high school, college, and graduate students in both community mental health and private practice settings. I have also served as an instructor in Boston College's Mental Health Counseling program and a supervisor at the Brookline Community Mental Health Center where I have had the privilege of helping to train future therapists. I obtained both my Master's in Mental Health Counseling and my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Boston College. I am based in Newton Centre and also provide services virtually. I look forward to meeting you.

**Currently accepting clients for Summer 2024 as of May 2024!** I work with students on all major non-emergent concerns, but I am particularly passionate about concerns around identity development. This is a broad area and includes working through gender or sexuality, what you want to "do" with your life in terms of career or relationships, how you might change patterns you see in your life to be more in alignment with the person you'd like to be, and more. I work with neurodivergent students to better set up their lives to meet their needs. Students might come in to discuss depression, anxiety, drug or alcohol use, or relationships with friends, family, or intimate partners. My goal is always to create a creative and safe environment for you to come closer to achieving what you have set out for yourself. My approach is collaborative and client-centered. I aim to be affirming of all races, sexes and genders, body sizes, religions, and more, with the understanding that I cannot be an expert in lived experiences that are not my own. I offer a free 15 minute consultation call to see if we are a good match for each other. Reach out and we can talk to see if we will be a good fit.
I am a clinical social worker based in Brookline with accessibility from the C and D lines. I work with adult individuals and couples, with a particular emphasis on life events or transitions that disrupt our sense of who we are. Before going to school to become a therapist, I completed a doctorate in philosophy — a domain of inquiry that continues to inform my clinical work on many levels. My primary therapeutic worldview comes from narrative therapy, which views problems in life as supported by dominant stories about who we are or how we should be. These stories can cause distress when they fail to represent what is most important to us. Instead of seeing such stories as an indication of flaws in a person’s self or personality, I assume they have been introduced from the contexts that have shaped us. In addition to narrative therapy, I draw from Buddhist mind training practices, which cultivate the ability to hold difficult emotions with steadiness and kindness to ourselves. Finally, I am influenced by somatic approaches, which emphasize felt experience in the body as a source of information and an entry point to healing. I aspire to meet everyone I encounter in my work with respect, warmth, and curiosity. I often imagine myself walking alongside the people I work with, but following one step behind. My job is to look out with you at the landscape you see and help you identify places you might like to explore. Then we can visit those places and see how things look from there.
