Making the decision to come to therapy can be a powerful one. I support individuals navigating the various pressures and stresses in their lives. I specialize in working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, and perfectionism. In session, clients feel a space free of judgment where they can reconnect with their authentic selves. With that in mind, I approach sessions in a collaborative way with the hopes of building self-esteem and personal agency. In our sessions, you'll feel like you're part of a team and not up against the problem alone. I also help college students, young working professionals, and athletes manage all that comes with being in a high-pressured environment. My own experience as a collegiate athlete taught me the values of teamwork, resilience, and overcoming anxiety and self-doubt-- all qualities I aim to pass along to my clients. For all clients, mindfulness may be an important part of our work. I bring in tools from Dialectical Behavior Therapy as well as traditional talk therapy to help you establish healthy boundaries, control overwhelming emotions, and stay grounded in the present moment. I also have a special interest in working with athletes transitioning to life after their sports career. My training as a yoga teacher helps me to deeply understand the mind-body connection, and how identity can get tied up athletic performance. I’ll help you develop a new daily routine, find meaningful ways to incorporate exercise at a lower level, manage fluctuating mood, and develop strong relationships outside of sports. Our sessions will feel like you are supported in taking action steps in your life. I am here to listen and provide accountability with changes you are hoping to make in your life.

I'm passionate about working with college students, especially international students, students of color, and first-generation students. These students are often interested in exploring their identities and navigating life transitions. They may also be looking for support with academic stress and how to live according to their values. I have previous experience working in a college counseling setting, and I'm eager to connect with students who are seeking support. I am psychodynamically trained and have focused much of my learning and clinical practice within a social justice framework. Before moving to the US, I lived and studied in China, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Therefore, both Eastern and Western philosophies and values influence and inform my perspectives and the integrative approaches that I bring to my work.
If you're trying to break unhealthy patterns in your life—whether they are things you've learned from your family or habits you’ve noticed in how you treat yourself and others—you’re in the right place. As two first-generation Latina therapists, we understand how hard it can be to figure out what’s not working in your life and try to change it, especially if going to therapy isn't something that's normalized within your family or community. We know that the path you are on can feel isolated and overwhelming. Which is why we created Sin Miedo Counseling - to support cycle-breakers like you. We offer counseling that is warm, authentic, and nonjudgmental so you can feel that you have someone who has your back while you work towards the change you want to see in your life. If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or down, we can help by offering strategies to help you regulate your nervous system and challenge that inner critic who is telling you that you don't deserve joy or rest in your life. If you're nervous about starting counseling, that's okay. We got you and we'd be honored to join you in your journey.
College can look exciting and successful from the outside while feeling overwhelming behind the scenes. You may be struggling with anxiety, academic pressure, perfectionism, relationship concerns, family expectations, or uncertainty about who you are and what comes next. Maybe others see you as responsible, driven, or strong, but you feel exhausted from trying to keep everything together. I work with college students who are used to putting pressure on themselves, taking care of others, or feeling as though they must always perform well. Therapy can be a space where you do not have to have all the answers. Together, we can explore the experiences and patterns contributing to your stress, strengthen your confidence, and help you develop healthier boundaries, relationships, and coping skills. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your needs. Whether you are adjusting to college, navigating friendships or dating, questioning your identity, managing family stress, or preparing for life after graduation, I will support you in gaining clarity and feeling more grounded. Hi, I'm Andi (pronouns: she/they). I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in Washington and Massachusetts, and I have been practicing since 2010. Therapy with me is fluid, and involves a mixture of deep processing and more structured skill building.
