My name is Chaney, and I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I am passionate about helping people improve their mental health and overcome the obstacles that they face. I work with children, adolescents, and adults. I am affirming to LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse folks. I also have special training and interest in helping folks with diabetes cope with diabetes distress and burnout. It is my belief that this journey to mental wellness is a partnership, and I look forward to finding unique solutions for each person I meet. I help folks achieve their health goals by prescribing medications, recommending lifestyle changes, and providing supportive talk therapy to develop coping skills. I want to work with you to find the best solution to fit your circumstances and needs. I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story. We each have challenges to overcome and at times need a helping hand to do it. It can be hard to acknowledge that something is wrong, much less that you might need help. So, rest assured that I will be glad to team up with you on the path to wellness.
Life can be hard, right? Considering the ups, downs, and curve balls that we all encounter throughout our lifetimes, it can be beneficial to have a safe space and objective support person as you navigate your journey. I am here to help. I use cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused methods aimed to assist you with working through and resolving the challenges you are experiencing. Particularly, I will assist you with building insight around your way of thinking, boundaries, mindfulness, and assertiveness. My hope is that you feel empowered and resilient enough to work through whatever challenges you encounter. I am a firm believer that life is meant to be lived freely and in abundance in all areas of life. Let's work together to get there! Life can be hard, but it can be beautiful too...
My work is dedicated to helping women create productive, satisfying lives in college and beyone. You may be experiencing sadness, anxiety, a rocky life transition, or a sense that somehow your life is not working out as you’d like. I offer telehealth counseling on evenings or weekends to fit your busy college schedule!
After trauma, we reach for whatever coping skill is closest in order to survive. We may turn to substances, self-harm, intellectualizing, perfectionism, etc. This helps us soothe, distract, and numb from feelings of shame, guilt, anger and fear. Still, our unprocessed emotions can overwhelm–morphing into anxiety, depression, rage, dissociation, or hyper-vigilance. However, this only represents a part of us and our experiences. We contain creativity, empathy, resilience, & intuition. Through our strengths, we increase our tolerance, release survival skills that no longer serve us, and return to our most liberated and aligned self. I specialize in addiction, anxiety, trauma, marriage counseling, and depression. I am also trained in Brainspotting, a trauma treatment, which involves less invasive talk therapy & quicker response times for healing, when compared to EMDR. For marriage & couples counseling, I am trained in the Gottman Method. We all have an innate and intuitive ability to heal and transform, yet healing is not a destination. Rather, it is a continual process that we may deviate from and rediscover repeatedly throughout our lifetime. I am here to sit with you in your pain, your recovery, your joy and everywhere in between. Please reach out. You are worthy of support.

Throughout my life, I have found people to be fascinating as each person has unique stories, values, and beliefs that guide their life. This curiosity of people combined with the belief that each person has intrinsic value and worth led me to the field of counseling. Through using collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches, I hope to facilitate a healing space where clients can learn how to care for themselves holistically, pursue personal goals, and address mental health concerns, all while feeling accepted for who they are as a person. I completed my clinical internship experience at Appalachian State University’s counseling center during 2023 - 2024 academic year. During this time I developed skills for working with clients facing life transitions, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, depression, spiritual/ religious concerns, emotional dysregulation, interpersonal relationship concerns, low self-confidence, grief and academic distress. My main theoretical approach is person-centered therapy while also using creative, culturally-aware and trauma-informed methods. I have a passion for working with clients who are working through anxiety, depression, academic stress, neurodivergence and life-transitions. Please reach out to set up an appointment today!
You make it look so easy, but you are tired. Whether at work, at school, with family or with friends, you are often the person keeping everything together. No matter the task, you will get it done, but it has been exhausting putting your feelings and needs aside for the sake of everyone else. You know you need something different, but you aren’t sure what. The thought of saying “no” or revealing that you don’t have it all together is too scary. Oftentimes liberation is on the other side of scary… and you deserve liberation! I have a relaxed & casual approach. I believe genuine human connection is foundational to mental health and that with the encouragement of an authentic relationship, a judgement-free space, & a willingness to be vulnerable- you can freely explore new ways of engaging with the world. I want to help you find that “something different” you've been looking for. Let's create a space where you don’t have to have it all together. A place where you can take a rest from all the juggling you’ve been doing. If any of this resonates, let’s connect. Therapy doesn’t have to be daunting–it’s a journey, but we will take it on together. You’ve got this. You already know what you need– so let’s help you get there!
While life’s challenges are inevitable, our suffering doesn’t have to be. I am here to empower you to take on these challenges with confidence! I work with children, teens, & young adults struggling with stress, anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, emotional regulation, familial issues, ADHD, & more. My experience as a former school counselor provides a unique perspective of the daily struggles of today’s youth and I am passionate about helping families work together to set their children up for success. I also enjoy working with young adults as they begin to figure out who they are while transitioning into a more independent individual. My work with clients is rooted in CBT, with a person-centered and holistic approach and includes principles of mindfulness to help empower clients to feel in control of their own mind and unlearn patterns that prevent you from living life to the fullest. I am a firm believer that we can harness the power of our own minds and use its strengths for good. I strive to bring a warm, empathetic energy to sessions and allow individuals to feel welcome and accepted exactly as they are, providing a sense of validation, comfort, and trust. All while also helping you to uncover compassion for yourself. Together, we will work as a team to discover your strengths and find peace in the chaos!
I treat clients with addiction related issues as well as loved ones of addicts.

As social beings, people need the contact and acceptance of other people. It is not uncommon for people to experience things that disrupt or unravel their lives, and they feel they have no one to turn to who understands or accepts them. Whether this experience is anxiety, depression, stress, life changes, or trauma, my passion is to help individuals find healthy ways of coping and processing the events in their lives. As well as helping people connect with others in more meaningful ways. As everyone is different, I feel there is no single therapeutic approach that works for everyone. Because of this, I have sought training in multiple therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My educational background includes an M.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University. My Clinical internship was spent in a substance abuse/mental health facility in South Florida, where I worked with military and veteran clients. Before my degree, I enlisted in the United States Airforce and was trained as a Medical Technician/EMT.

Jackie Quartuccio, LCSWA is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate in North Carolina. She graduated with her Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University in New Jersey. Before receiving her graduate degree, Jackie spent time working for a non-profit alongside single mothers seeking family preservation services and studying psychology for her undergraduate degree. Jackie believes so passionately that counseling can be a helpful and healing process for those who seek such help. When Jackie was a teenager, she sought counseling herself and was able to identify her feelings and process them in a healthy way. This positive therapeutic experience drove her decision to go into the counseling field and sparked her passion to help those who find themselves in with similar negative thought patterns. Jackie strives to use various counseling modes to allow space for healing, growth, and freedom. True change can influence your physical, emotional, and relational health. She will work with you and/or your family to create a counseling plan focused on decreasing symptoms and improving quality of life.
