I am a private practice therapist who works with adults of all ages, with particular experience supporting LGBTQIA+ clients and those who have experienced trauma. I believe that symptoms—whether anxiety, depression, or something harder to name—often have roots in our histories and relationships. In our work together, we’ll slow down and get curious about the patterns, feelings, and ways you’ve learned to cope that may no longer be serving you. Many of the students I work with are navigating academic pressure, identity questions, relationship stress, or major life transitions while trying to keep up with the demands of school and daily life. My hope is to offer a warm, attuned space where greater self-understanding can lead to real and lasting change.
As a first or second generation BIPOC person, do you feel like you are stuck between family expectations, your own dreams, and your own needs? As someone who may be defined as “other” are you having to constantly code switch or suppress who you really are to move between different contexts? Do you feel like you are constantly over giving to the point of not having time or resources to yourself? All of this can easily make you feel depressed, anxious, drained in your relationships, and unfulfilled. My clients come to me in the states that I just described and after working with me report living a life that reflects their values on all levels, a more empowered ability to take up space in the world as a BIPOC and/or LGBTQ+ person, and ability to ask for and receive more in their relationships. I take the time to get to know my clients and work in a way that empowers them to identify and dissolve old narratives that are keeping them stuck in unsatisfying relationships or situations through an approach that is both conversational and dives deep. If you resonate, I would love to hear from you for a free initial consultation call.
You may look like you're holding it all together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or exhausted on the inside. Whether you're navigating anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, burnout, relationship challenges, or a major life transition, therapy can offer a space to slow down, gain clarity, and reconnect with yourself. I take a warm, relational, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, integrating mindfulness-based, somatic, CBT, DBT-informed, and psychodynamic perspectives. Together, we'll work through what brought you to therapy, while exploring the deeper patterns that shape how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where insight and practical tools can help foster meaningful, lasting change. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the corporate and technology sectors, an experience that continues to inform my work with clients navigating career stress, burnout, perfectionism, identity shifts, and life transitions. I understand the pressures that can come with demanding professional environments and enjoy helping clients build more sustainable, values-aligned ways of living. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, OCD, depression, stress, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, and major life transitions. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply looking to understand yourself better, I'd love to support you and provide a space for growth, healing, and deeper self-understanding.
With warm greetings, I inform that as a Clinical Psychologist, my mission is to guide you towards identifying and achieving your highest standard of excellence, as you reach and learn to believe and come to love your best self along the way. With that will come the capacity to successfully negotiate interpersonal, work life and family relationships, affording you meaningful and enduring connections, novel inspirations, motivating aspirations and opportunities for enhanced happiness and fulfillment. Together we will walk paths as a confident, bold, yet gentle spirit within you cultivates loving words and acts, ambitions and realizations. It will be my honor and privilege to serve you. I am a North American born NYS Licensed Psychologist with an array of international education and work experiences. I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology and a four year postdoctoral specialization in Frommian Psychoanalysis. I have lived and worked in both Europe and Mexico, as well as in the USA and have treated a wide variety of culturally, ethnically, racially, religiously and linguistically diverse populations, as well as in age and symptom particularities. I am happy to provide culturally competent services to racially, ethnically, religiously and linguistically diverse populations. Amongst these are Latino, African-American, African, Native American, Asian, Middle Eastern, European, Jewish and those of other racial or ethnic backgrounds. To that end, in addition to English, I speak Spanish, Italian and French. I treat mainly adult and geriatric populations representing both diversity in age and symptom/diagnostic presentation. In terms of hobbies and leanings, I enjoy cultural pursuits: art, music, literature, dance and multicultural settings. I have worked in psychiatric hospitals and hospitals dedicated to medical illnesses wherein psychological problems are etiologically related to the disease in question, or are secondary to them. I have also worked in private practice spanning my professional career and in the corporate sector. I am passionate about my profession and understanding the many routes to discover the unknown and the truth. My interest is mission driven relating to a drive to help by activating one’s finer qualities and inspiring clients to speak to life with a higher voice. As a Licensed Master Social Worker, I specialize in depression and anxiety, OCD, self-esteem, relationship issues, stress management, and life transitions for young adults and adults who want more than just a space to process difficult emotions. If you’re looking for practical tools, greater self-awareness, and the ability to navigate life's challenges with growing confidence and independence, then I am here for you. Therapy, to me, works best when it feels like a genuine partnership. I bring authenticity, curiosity, and respect to every session, and am committed to being a warm, honest presence as you work toward the life you want to create. Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be holding you back, develop skills that actually fit your life, and build the insight you need to keep moving forward. I don't believe therapy is about someone else having the answers for you. At its core, it's about creating space to slow down, get curious about yourself, and develop the tools needed to move through life with more confidence and intention. That belief shapes everything about how I work. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you reconnect with your strengths, explore your experiences with openness, and gain a clearer understanding of the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Rather than directing what you should do, I'll support you in discovering what feels right for you and help you build the confidence to trust yourself along the way. In practice, I draw on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic interventions. Sessions are welcoming and nonjudgmental, a space where you can learn to respond to emotions more effectively and strengthen your ability to act in alignment with your values. My interest in becoming a therapist started early in life. After losing loved ones, I found myself wanting to be a source of support for my family during the hardest moments. As I grew older, that desire evolved into a deeper passion for understanding people and the human experience. Through studying psychology and social psychology, I became fascinated by the ways our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and environments shape how we move through the world. I carry this passion and curiosity with me now, offering a genuine investment in understanding who you are and what you need to move forward. When I'm not working, I love exploring my creative side through art, cooking, baking, and decorating. I'm also an avid runner and regularly race half-marathons. Both creativity and running have taught me a great deal about myself, from learning how to navigate challenges and adapt to setbacks to appreciating the value of patience, curiosity, and growth.
I specialize in treating depression and anxiety, with a focus on individuals navigating family conflict, intergenerational trauma, and the unique stressors that can come with immigrant and international backgrounds. These experiences can shape how people view themselves, relate to others, and manage stress, often contributing to feelings of overwhelm, guilt, or emotional strain. I also specialize in working with patients navigating bipolar and other mood disorders, grief, substance use, and co-occurring mental health disorders. Therapy helps to better understand these patterns and experiences, while also building practical tools to manage symptoms. It can help you set boundaries, improve communication, and develop healthier ways of coping. When combined with appropriate medication management, this approach can lead to more stability and an improved sense of control in daily life. I am passionate about mental health because I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and understood. I strive to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care that meets you where you are while supporting you in building insight, resilience, and meaningful change in your life.
I’ve spent 25 years working in schools as a therapist which provided me knowledge of the adolescent and young adult experience and challenges around the academic pressures. I am trained in multiple interventions from AEDP/IFS/AF-EMDR which allows me to provide support around anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief and trauma.
Therapy is a space to experience a type of listening that can be transformative. I work with individuals who want to understand themselves more deeply, particularly as they navigate grief, loss, and life transitions. Perhaps you have experienced a recent loss or transition that feels overwhelming, or perhaps you want to strengthen your connection with your partner. We will explore your history, relationships, and patterns with curiosity and care. Through deepening our understanding of ourselves, we can deepen our relationships with others while finding relief in the process. My approach is creative and grounded in curiosity, play, warmth, and authentic connection. I work from a psychodynamic perspective, incorporating attachment and meaning-making, as well as Emotionally Focused Therapy. I see my role as helping you connect to the strengths that are already present within you. Together, we will build a relationship that allows for growth and appreciates all parts of your identity. I value the depth of psychodynamic work alongside practical feedback that can help you navigate everyday challenges. I also believe in the power of a laugh.
I GREW UP IN THE IN-BETWEEN — moving back and forth between the US and China, I know first-hand what it is like to be faced with the unknown, the struggle of finding yourself in a new place, a new culture, a new stage of life, or a new identity. I FIND JOY in helping people find the pieces of themselves they can rely on and fall in love with through it all. My goal is to honor the beauty of your existence while teaching you the skills that can carry you through rougher times. The process of healing, learning who you are and what you need to care for yourself, is a challenging but rewarding one. IT TAKES COURAGE to confront and accept yourself completely, and I hope to provide a compassionate and safe space for you to explore, to grieve, to rage, or to find joy in everything that you've experienced. The fact that you have survived everything so far to be here now is more important than anything else. It is an honor for me to witness your courage and your strength. IT IS A PRIVILEGE to be a part of your journey. I admire you. You matter to me.

I am a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in the state of New York and received my Master's Degree from New York University in drama therapy. I utilize empirically supported and embodied creative approaches to psychotherapy including Attachment Focused EMDR (completed levels 1 -3). I believe we should all be free to love who we love, to identify in whatever way feels most natural to us, and I am honored to hold space for anyone who is questioning what is "right" for them. I am fortunate to have worked with individuals from many continents. I strive to be aware of the power and privilege I have in the therapy space. I invite dialogue and play for exploring issues of cultural identity, race, class, trauma and abuse of power. Are you or your loved ones feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or uncertain about the future? Are you navigating relationship challenges, work or school stress, major life transitions, family dynamics, self-esteem concerns, or difficulty managing your emotions? Or, maybe you simply feel like something isn't quite right, but aren't sure how to make sense of it. My goal as a licensed master social worker is to help you better understand yourself and what you’re experiencing, develop healthy coping skills, build confidence, and work toward a life that feels more fulfilling and aligned with who you are. My specialties include anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, relationship concerns, and emotional regulation for children, adolescents, and adults. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you're not even sure where to begin. You don't need to have the right words, a clear plan, or everything figured out before reaching out. If you're ready to better understand yourself, work through what's been weighing on you, or simply have someone in your corner, I'd be happy to take that first step with you. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you feel supported enough to be honest, understood enough to feel less alone, and empowered enough to create the changes you're looking for. Therapy with me is warm, authentic, and collaborative, as I'm passionate about building a genuine therapeutic relationship and getting to know you as a whole person, not just the challenges that brought you to therapy. I'll meet you where you are, listening with curiosity and empathy while working collaboratively with you to determine what feels most helpful. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can take a breath and be completely yourself. You are the expert on your own life; my role is to walk alongside you, offer a different perspective, help you notice patterns, and support you in figuring out what you want and how to get there. I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and motivational interviewing, though I tailor our work to your personality, experiences, and goals rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we turn insight into practical tools and move toward meaningful healing. My path to becoming a therapist began with a simple desire: to be the person I once needed. Growing up, I often wished I had someone I could talk to who would truly listen, help me make sense of what I was experiencing, and remind me that I didn't have to figure everything out on my own. That experience shaped the kind of therapist I wanted to become. Today, I bring that same belief into my work with patients. I want you to feel genuinely heard and understood, not judged, rushed, or defined by the reason you came to therapy. Building a real relationship with my patients is at the heart of my work, and I approach each person with empathy, curiosity, and authenticity. Outside of therapy, you'll usually find me going on walks, practicing yoga or Pilates, reading, cooking, traveling, trying new restaurants, or spending time with my friends and family. I love exploring new places, trying new things, and finding little ways to make everyday life feel special. I also value staying active and making time for the people and experiences that keep me grounded, connected, and uplifted.
I work with adults and adolescents in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, with children through play, and with couples and parents. My practice includes work with anxiety, depression, trauma, academic and professional challenges, relational and family dynamics, questions of identity and sexuality, and the complex experiences of immigration and displacement.

Based on my experience, the students I work most effectively with often face similar challenges, especially as they adapt to college life and cope with stress or feeling overwhelmed. These individuals tend to find value in receiving support and guidance while adjusting to the demands of their new academic and social surroundings. I've found that my approach works best for those who are looking for practical ways to manage stress, improve time management, and build resilience in both academic and personal aspects of their lives. Through establishing a supportive and understanding therapeutic connection as well as medication management, my goal is to empower students to tackle their college journey with confidence and strength.
College is hard enough already - you don't need to let past experiences make it even harder. If you can't stop thinking about certain memories, or people, or pain that you have suffered, you might be burdened by trauma. You might also feel unsafe in particular places, or even in your own body. Feeling this way on a day to day basis is exhausting. Know that you can heal from the discomfort that you are experiencing right now. We can work together to help you feel more at ease on a day-to-day basis. Then, when you're ready, we can dive a little deeper into understanding what happened to you. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey of growth, healing, and self-love.
