I work especially well with clients who think deeply, feel intensely, and are tired of talking in circles—whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, low mood, or big life transitions. My approach blends evidence-informed psychotherapy with optional art-based work to help you access emotions, shift patterns, and build steadier self-trust. You don’t need to be “creative” to benefit—this is about expression and insight, not making something perfect.

Hello and Welcome, We specialize in grief, loss, caregiving and any kind of transition. Divorce, moving and break ups all constitute loss. Anxiety often manifests at these times. We use Shadow Work, Somatic exercises, Phil Stutz's The Tools and other techniques to balance both the deeper work and coping day to day and week by week. Offering a safe and supportive container, our virtual therapy is evidence based and compassionate. It's where function meets intuition. Please check our website for a welcome video. Have you ever said, "I feel good when I am dancing/ drawing/ coloring/ writing/ creating art, etc?" Do you struggle with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, or simply haven't been feeling like yourself? Are you looking to let go of these struggles, gain control of your anxiety, become your best self, and enjoy life again? If so, you've come to the right human. I work with women and femmes who enjoy art-making (movement, art, creative writing, etc) to overcome low self-esteem, anxiety, past traumas, and depression using creative arts therapy. Together we use the arts to process and release things we no longer need to hold on to, becoming free, healed, and more in tune with our most authentic, divine self. You deserve a life of joy, prosperity, and wellness. I believe in the power within you to overcome your struggles. Together we will use the arts for your healing. The healing begins with ourselves. From there, we can heal our family, our community, our nation, and then the world.

Life can be overwhelming. The challenges of living with social isolation, emotional pain, grief, anxiety and depression can prevent us from living the life we desire. The effects of trauma can be unbearable and intolerable and can affect both the individual and those around them. Low self esteem and destructive urges and behaviors deter from productive and satisfying lives. Together, we'll improve your ability to express your feelings, reflect on your reactions and behaviors, develop life skills and gain awareness that can lead you to a more effective and full-filling life. My approach is validating and collaborative - Warm, down-to-earth and non-intimidating, I use DBT, EMDR and DBR to best address the needs of my clients. Call or email Stephen Gadischkie now for a free 15 minute consultation - (516) 316-3785

I have success with patients who have depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, work-related problems, family conflict, a history of trauma, relationship challenges, and social skills deficits. Please visit my website to get a feel of what I am like as a psychologist. A mind/body approach, including EMDR, is useful for processing trauma and other developmental wounds. I strive to help clients find greater self-acceptance and -compassion so they can develop more effective coping methods and communication skills to lead more rewarding and purposeful lives. The most important factor in the success of therapy is the therapist-client relationship. I offer a 15 minute consultation to see if we might work well together.

College can be a great time to start exploring relationships and even making long-term bonds. However, the stresses of college life can challenge even the most loving of relationships. I assist couples to identify communication and intimacy issues that prevent them from connecting both physically and emotionally. There is no size fits all. Thus, I seek to collaborate with my clients to co-create a therapeutic experience that creates the trust necessary to do deeper work.

With over 26 years of experience, I utilize verbal psychotherapy and art psychotherapy to help you find your emotional voice whether it be about a current situation that is causing you distress or something from your past or future. We hold on to thoughts, behaviors and feelings that seem too overwhelming to share with others. We fear vulnerability. We run from difficult feelings/thoughts. We feel ashamed of our emotional "baggage". Then, we try to hide under a mask because of shame, fear, and anxiety. But hiding in shame only makes us feel isolated, empty and experience self hatred. We become disconnected from our bodies. To promote healing and growth, we will sit through difficult emotions and thoughts until you have a better sense of yourself and self compassion. It is very important for us to create a trusting relationship where you can feel seen, heard and safe. I encourage you to express feelings, fears, conflicts, insecurities, memories and reconnect with your body. You will learn to take off the mask & find inner strengths to bring a sense of connection to yourself & others. We will accomplish insight, self-awareness & compassion, coping strategies, a sense of purpose & connection, and relaxation. I want to help you feel more connected to your life, to remember YOUR truth, dislodge old patterns & reconnect with joy.

Do you have a sense that people don’t get you? Do you travel a different path than everybody else? Are you living your life very differently from what other people expect you to? Do people tell you that sometimes you are thinking way outside the box? Are your parents different from you and do they want you to be someone else? Life can be tough when you feel different. Different can also mean isolated, lonely, and misunderstood. It can also mean constantly asking yourself: Will I ever fit in? Can anybody understand me? Why can’t people accept me for who I am? Am I doing the right thing? Will I be happy? That’s what I can help you with. BE DIFFERENT AND STILL FIT IN. The therapist-client relationship is a collaborative one, where you are an expert on yourself and we work together towards your goals. I believe that you should be satisfied with the services you are receiving and thus I frequently assess the clients' progress and satisfaction with my services during the duration of therapy. I strive to tailor therapy to best fit your needs. My approach to working with clients is practical and straightforward, yet warm, genuine, and supportive.
