I will work with you to simplify the number of medications you take to address your symptoms and optimize with 1-2 medications that work best for you.
I am a licensed mental health counselor specializing in working with adolescents and young adults (ages 13 and older) across various biological, psychological, and social backgrounds. My goal is to help you understand yourself within the context of your unique life experiences as you navigate mental health struggles. These may include emotional/behavioral dysregulation, communication challenges, life transitions, academic/work stress, grief/bereavement, LGBTQAI+ issues, harm reduction in substance use, and other day-to-day life stressors. The therapeutic alliance between therapist and patient is the most important part of therapy, and I am passionate about building that foundation of trust with you. Working together, you can expect an empowering, non-judgmental environment with a little sense of humor sprinkled in. I use a warm, welcoming, and person-centered approach to meet you where you’re at in your healing journey, allowing me to tailor my style and interventions to your therapeutic goals and needs. These interventions include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavior Therapy, and more structured approaches to best help you meet your therapeutic goals. My path to becoming a therapist began one week into college, when I decided to switch my major from studio art to psychology. The motivation to make this drastic change and give psychology a try came from my own intuition and feeling like I had natural qualities of empathy and introspection. This journey of self-discovery deepened my commitment to helping patients identify what a life worth living and feeling of purpose looks like for them. My journey led me to work in a community agency as a therapist, where I found that my patients’ demographics were very different from one another and, as such, deserved their own unique approaches and integrated mix of interventions. Now, I am passionate about bringing that same energy to my practice at SOL Mental Health! Outside of sessions, I like to enjoy a wide range of hobbies, such as painting, hiking, playing the ukulele, and going to live music concerts.

I’m passionate about supporting first‑generation students, students from marginalized backgrounds, and students of color, as they navigate the emotional, cultural, and academic pressures that come with being the first in their families to walk these paths. I work with individuals experiencing: • Adjustment‑related stress, including transitions into college or new environments • Cultural transitions and the unique pressures faced by first‑generation students • Distorted eating patterns, emotional overwhelm, and challenges with emotion regulation My therapeutic approach integrates DBT and multimodal strategies, always rooted in cultural humility and a commitment to centering each person’s lived experience. I strive to create a space where students feel understood, supported, and equipped to move toward their goals with clarity and confidence. The most efficient way to get started is by visiting my website, reviewing the FAQ section, and completing the new client interest form. This will give me all the information I will need to determine next steps. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey.
