Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I'm glad you're here. My hope is to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you have everything figured out. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, or a major life transition, my goal is to meet you with warmth, authenticity, and compassion. Together, we'll build on your strengths, develop practical coping skills using CBT and solution-focused strategies, and work toward helping you feel more confident, resilient, and like yourself again.

Having a space where you feel truly seen, understood, and valued is essential. I warmly invite you into a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can explore who you are and what your needs are in order to heal and grow. I deeply believe that you are the expert of your own experience, and I use a collaborative approach to support you in exploring, understanding, and shaping your path forward. I work with clients in both an individual and relationship capacity, helping people deepen their understanding of themselves, their connections, and their emotional intimacy with others. My areas of specialization include chronic illness, LGBTQ+ folks, neurodivergence, trauma-related dissociation, and complex trauma. As a queer, trans, and neurodiverse therapist, I know how difficult it can be to take this step. I am here to support you, exactly as you are, with care and understanding. If you're interested in seeing if we are a good fit, reach out via email or phone & we can chat about how I can support you.

Thom Clancy, LCSW
Many of the students I work with are used to functioning well despite feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, or emotionally worn down. Some are struggling with trauma, difficult family relationships, or recurring patterns in their relationships that they don't fully understand. Others are trying to manage ADHD while balancing school, work, research, or family responsibilities. I'm also interested in working with students who are trying to make sense of themselves in the context of the world around them. That might include questions about identity, culture, community, or the emotional impact of social and political events. If you're someone who feels deeply affected by what's happening around you, therapy can be a place to think through those experiences rather than carrying them by yourself. My approach is collaborative and guided by curiosity. I don't assume there are quick answers or a single right way to do therapy. Sometimes our work is about understanding the patterns that keep repeating in your life. Other times it's about dealing with whatever is most pressing right now. Most of the time, it's both.
Derek Li
Many of the people I work with are the ones everyone else assumes are doing just fine. You're successful, capable, and driven—but underneath the surface, you may be carrying anxiety, burnout, trauma, perfectionism, or ADHD. High-performance people often feel like they're constantly trying to keep up. Whether you're navigating the demands of academia, an intellectually challenging career, or family dynamics, therapy can be a place to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and find a different way forward. My approach is collaborative, curious, and grounded in evidence-based care. I integrate EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and neuroscience-informed interventions to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, nervous system, and behaviors. Together, we'll identify patterns that no longer serve you, strengthen emotional flexibility, and develop practical tools that support lasting change. Before becoming a therapist, I studied Applied Physics and Engineering and later conducted doctoral-level research in Computational and Integrative Biology. That background continues to shape my work today. I enjoy helping analytically-minded people make sense of complex internal experiences. I create a space that feels warm, genuine, and free from judgment. I believe healing happens when insight is paired with self-compassion and meaningful action.
Casey Haslam
The students I work with are usually managing more than they let on. Classes, work, money, family expectations, a relationship that is complicated, and a growing sense that everyone else got a manual they did not. A lot of them are anxious. Not always in the obvious way. Sometimes it looks like lying awake running through everything you said that day. Sometimes it looks like putting off an email for three weeks because opening it feels impossible. Sometimes it looks like doing fine on paper and feeling hollow about it. A lot of them are also in the middle of a decision. Whether to change majors. Whether to stay. What happens after graduation when the plan you had at eighteen stopped making sense. Those questions belong in therapy just as much as the anxiety does, and in my experience they are usually tangled together. You do not need to be in crisis to talk to someone. Wanting more support than you have right now is enough of a reason. I was the first person in my family to go to college. I did it without anyone who could tell me how it worked, and I figured out fairly late that asking for help earlier would have saved me a lot. That is part of why I do this work.

I’m Joyce Atkins, MS, RDN, LDN, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with more than 18 years of experience supporting children, adults, and families in clinical, community, and telehealth settings. I specialize in type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, heart health, kidney health, and nutrition support for people taking GLP-1 medications. I also have extensive experience with family nutrition and supporting people managing multiple or complex health conditions. My approach is warm, practical, and judgment free. I believe every person has a unique nutrition story, and I take time to understand your health, culture, family traditions, food preferences, resources, daily responsibilities, and relationship with food. I combine evidence-based medical nutrition therapy with realistic strategies that can fit into your everyday life. During our sessions, I’ll help you make sense of confusing nutrition information, recognize your strengths, and find practical ways to support your health without making food feel more complicated than it needs to be. Whether you’re working on blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, heart or kidney health, or navigating nutrition while taking a GLP-1 medication, we’ll create realistic goals that feel manageable and sustainable. As a Filipina American dietitian, I’m passionate about providing culturally responsive care and creating a space where people feel safe, seen, heard, respected, and included in their nutrition care. I welcome people from diverse cultures, identities, families, and life experiences, including women across life stages, LGBTQ+ people, transgender and nonbinary individuals, service members, veterans, and military families. I also understand that access to nutritious food and healthcare can be shaped by financial, insurance, and other barriers, and I strive to make nutrition recommendations practical and accessible. My Ideal Client My ideal client is looking for support navigating a health condition without feeling overwhelmed by nutrition advice. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you and create practical strategies that fit your health needs, preferences, culture, and everyday life. My goal is to help you feel more confident and supported as you make changes that can last. More About Me When I’m not working with clients, I love spending time with my young son and large extended family. I enjoy singing, dancing, strength training, creative activities, volunteering, and participating in community events such as local 5Ks and food-bank outreach. What to Expect in Our Sessions Our sessions are designed to be supportive, collaborative, and practical. You’ll have space to ask questions, talk through your concerns, and better understand how nutrition connects to your health. I’ll provide evidence-based education, personalized recommendations, and realistic strategies that take your lifestyle and circumstances into account. My goal is for you to leave each session with greater clarity, confidence, and a few concrete steps you can actually use in your day-to-day life. We’ll focus on progress rather than perfection and take things one sustainable step at a time. I’m looking forward to working with you and helping you feel more confident in your nutrition and health! Ready to start? Book a visit directly at https://diabetesdigital.co/start.

If life has been feeling stuck, confusing, or overwhelming, let’s slow things down together. I'm here to listen closely to your lived experience and the stories that have shaped it. My work is grounded in narrative therapy, which means we will pay attention to how problems have come to influence your life and how your preferred values and hopes might guide us forward. We'll stay close to what matters most to you, exploring what you want your life to stand for and supporting steps that move you closer to that direction, one conversation at a time. My approach is collaborative, with your voice guiding what feels most important. I ask questions that invite reflection and new possibilities, and I'm transparent about my thinking. If you want therapy that feels human, thoughtful, and respectful of your context, we may be a good fit. If you would like to see whether we fit, reach out through the contact options on this page. You can share a sentence or two about what you want help with, along with any scheduling needs. I'll respond with what I can offer and what next steps could look like.

People come to therapy for many different reasons, but, at the core, they are looking for understanding, relief, or growth. Maybe you’re trying to understand why you feel the way you do, or you find yourself caught in the same difficult thoughts again and again. Perhaps you’ve noticed patterns of behavior that seem to work against your own well-being. You might be facing a life transition—chosen or not—and are feeling anxious about what’s next. Or maybe you just feel stuck. Therapy offers a space to slow down and make sense of what’s happening. Together, we can clarify your current experience, explore how you got here, and begin to shape a healthier, more fulfilling path forward.
