Welcome! Let’s explore what a meaningful and balanced life looks like for you as an undergraduate or graduate student. I work with students on managing anxiety, depression, OCD, and PTSD. I also enjoy helping students build stress management skills and navigate life transitions, identity exploration, relationship stress, or feeling “stuck” or burned out. My goal is to keep sessions feeling genuine and conversational, and to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself while we work together on what matters most to you. I use evidence-based approaches to help you manage difficult thoughts and emotions, reduce self-criticism, and build coping skills that actually work. I also offer EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy for trauma, and Inference-Based CBT for OCD. If you’re curious about starting therapy or just want to see if we’re a good fit, I offer free 15-minute video consultations. Email is the best way to reach me.

I have worked with a diverse group of clients with many different struggles but I specialize in adults, young adults and teens. I like to take a conversational approach to therapy. I want to partner with you in the way you work best whether that be crystals and meditation, memes and social media, or just starting with the basics. I have experience in working on issues involving anxiety, depression, relationship troubles, LGBTQIA struggles, family issues and more. For nearly 20 years, I have worked with adolescents and young adults who have anxiety, mood disorders, gender identity issues, family conflicts and trauma from many different backgrounds. There is no single case that is identical to another, and everyone has their own unique story. I want to hear your story so that I may join your journey to heal. My main approaches are CBT, Family Systems Theory, EMDR, and somatic approaches. I also incorporate Eastern philosophy and focus on the mind-body connection to assist clients in understanding their challenges and rediscovering their authentic selves. As a person who came to the United States as a teen, I personally understand the pressure to succeed, the challenges to navigate the US college system, and the loneliness that limited resources and guidance that first generation college students go through. I have also advocated for people of color and the LGTBQ+ population in an effort to improve equality and deal with human rights issues many years. I strive to provide a safe environment for all of my clients without judgment. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Seeking to discover strengths to meet new challenges or define your sense of purpose? Are you having relationship issues at home, school, or work? Or maybe you are asking questions about your life story, its meaning, and your place in the world. Psychotherapy can be helpful in exploring and resolving these concerns. Every person has a story to tell. I offer insight-oriented psychotherapy, an approach that focuses on your perspective and unique story. A person’s feelings, thoughts, and choices may be influenced by factors from the past that are outside of one’s awareness and exert pressure on current experiences and events. Each person’s culture, including military culture, can also be influential in therapy. Telling your story freely in a safe environment and bringing past experiences and meanings to light can have therapeutic or even transformative effects in the present. Devote the time now to strengthen your foundation and build a new vision for your future. My practice focuses on resilience, operational stress, high-intensity workplaces, and many other issues. Individuals from all walks of life and backgrounds, you may find therapy helpful for self-knowledge and awareness as you navigate a complex time in your life. The practice is Telehealth with access throughout FL, PA, and WV. Tricare has certified that I am an out-of-network provider for FL, PA, or WV telehealth services.

Guessing your way through life is stressful. I work with college students who are realizing that there's a lot of things that they weren't taught in school and are ready to take control of their future. Now that you have more freedom and choice, you also have to figure out what to do with it. Who are you? Who do you want to be? What do you want to do with your life? How do you get there? If you're starting out college, you might be trying to get yourself into a routine, make new friends, navigate the campus dating scene, decide on a major, or handle the stress of midterms/finals. Maybe you're past that part of your college experience, but you still haven't found a good solution to those problems: still putting off studying, dealing with friend drama, having ups and downs with dating, etc. And if you're getting towards the end of your college experience, you might be worried out about what you're going to do after college and what that will look like. You don't need to figure all that out on your own. I help people get to the root of their problems so that they can understand themselves and others better. If you can understand your past and unlearn things that aren't helping you anymore, then you can replace them with healthy ways to move forward with confidence.

I worked in university counseling centers for over 10 years before transitioning to full-time private practice, and really enjoy working with undergraduate and graduate students. College and graduate school is often a time to better understand and define who you are and what does and does not work for you and for promoting your wellbeing. As a psychologist, I work to help clients understand themselves better in the unique context and experiences of their own lives so as to figure out what each individual needs to be well, which may be very different than what you think you should need to be well. I also work to help clients not only manage their symptoms and distress, but also understand the root causes of their symptoms and distress. I believe that this deeper understanding can often lead to transformative healing.

Trying to find a therapist can feel overwhelming, especially when you're already juggling classes, jobs, friendships, and figuring out your next steps. Who We Work Best With: Students Just Like You The students who thrive most in our practice often share a few things in common. They are typically high-achieving, thoughtful, and determined, but right now, they're feeling overwhelmed and stuck. They are excellent at pushing through difficult situations but realize that the old methods of "just toughing it out" aren't working anymore. You might be a great fit for us if you are experiencing any of the following: The "Burnout Beast": You're running on empty. You feel anxious every Sunday night, your motivation is low, and you constantly feel like you should be doing more, even when you're exhausted. You're ready to stop stressing and start enjoying your college years. The Social Maze: You're struggling to make real connections, dealing with roommate conflicts, or navigating a difficult dating scene. You want your relationships to feel supportive, not draining. The Future Fog: You're feeling pressure about your major, your career path, or even just whether you're where you're "supposed" to be. You need help quieting the noise so you can figure out what you truly want. The New Normal: You're struggling to adjust to a new semester, a move away from home, or even life after graduation. Change is hard, and you need a steady, non-judgmental place to process it. We specialize in working with college and graduate students to manage anxiety, perfectionism, stress, and life transitions. Our goal isn't just to help you survive campus life—it's to help you genuinely thrive. We provide practical strategies, emotional support, and the clarity you need to move forward, all without the confusing jargon.
