Therapists for college students near 77005
Hi, I’m Tabitha Cantu, MSW, LCSW, and I provide virtual therapy to women in university as I understand the challenges college can bring. Many of the women I work with are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, boundaries, life transitions, relationship challenges, family conflict, self-esteem concerns, and the pressures of school, work, and everyday life. As a Hispanic woman who has lived and worked in different states across the U.S., I’ve had the privilege of connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and communities. These experiences have broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of the unique culture, communities, and challenges individuals face, and shaped the compassionate, culturally responsive approach I bring to therapy. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, integrating evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused strategies to help clients build coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and create meaningful change. Whether you’re adjusting to college life, managing academic stress, working through relationship concerns, or seeking greater confidence and balance, therapy can provide a space to explore challenges and develop practical tools for growth. I currently offer virtual therapy sessions throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Florida.
I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, & trauma. I also have experience working with abuse. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
Hi There! I am a licensed Professional Counselor with over 4 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges. My approach is compassionate, warm, and collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, and Trauma-Focused. I specialize in working with Adolescents, young adults, and middle-aged adults; struggling with anxiety and depression, communication issues, and trauma survivors. Whether you are dealing with a specific issue or looking for support on your journey of personal growth, I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore, heal, and grow. My goal is to help you feel seen, heard, and empowered. Together, we'll work to build new tools and create meaningful change. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing occurs through a safe and authentic connection. My role is to walk alongside you- offering tools, insights, and support- as you explore what's no longer serving you and move toward the life you want to create. Therapy with me is not about "fixing" you- because you are not broken. It's about uncovering your strengths, understanding your story with compassion, and creating space for growth, clarity, and lasting change. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I want you to know that our first session is all about creating a comfortable, safe space for you to begin your journey. During our initial session, we’ll take time to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions to better understand what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to work on, and any important background that can help me support you effectively. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels right—we’ll move at your pace. We’ll also talk about how I work, answer any questions you have about the therapy process, and start to outline some goals or intentions for our work together. This session is more about building connection and clarity than diving into deep work right away. Above all, my goal is to make you feel heard, respected, and supported from the very beginning. Whether you’re brand new to therapy or returning after some time away, this is your space—and I’m here to meet you exactly where you are.
As a parent of a medically complex child and a person with my own chronic health conditions, I often see people become weary when navigating the chronic illness journey. Despite being smart, determined, strong, and compassionate, they begin to feel overwhelmed by life. They feel betrayed by their body. They are unsure of what abilities they, or their loved one, will have in the future and what that means for their sense of who they are. They face disappointment, anger, or judgement from friends and family who don’t understand the challenges they are facing. I want those fellow travelers to know: you deserve to find peace even in the midst of difficulty. You deserve to define and redefine who you are. Hope is not out of your reach. If you want to navigate uncertainty without losing yourself in the process, I’d love to help you. You don’t have to continue alone. Contact me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation to see how I can help.
College can be exciting, overwhelming, and everything in between. It’s a time of big changes, big questions, and a lot of pressure—about who you are, where you belong, and whether you’re doing “enough.” I work with college students who are navigating anxiety, body image struggles, perfectionism, and that nagging feeling of not measuring up, even when everything seems fine on the outside. If you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or just off, therapy can be a space to slow down and figure out what’s really going on. Together, we’ll explore what matters to you and what helps you feel more like you. My approach is warm, supportive, and down-to-earth. Whether you’re on campus or away, we’ll work together to help you feel more confident, grounded, and connected—both to yourself and the life you’re building.

I'm a licensed therapist with 14 years of experience helping people feel better and build healthier, more balanced lives. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can talk freely and work through what’s on your mind. Together, we’ll find tools and strategies that actually make a difference in your day-to-day life. From the outside, you have it all together, but on the inside you feel disconnected. A gap between the life you’re living and the person you want to be. This disconnection is often a way our mind and body protect us, but overtime it leaves us feeling stuck or empty, in a cycle of doing rather than being. Whether we are navigating relationship concerns or echoes from the past, my focus is meeting you where you are. I work with individuals and couples to peel back these layers and rebuild trust and safety within yourself and others. Together, we work on understanding, untangling, and exploring emotions, behaviors, and past experiences and how they shape you, your world, and your relationships. We create trust and connection within yourself. It isn’t about control or correction. It’s about empowering you with the clarity and trust needed to meet challenges from a place true to you. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment that welcomes all orientations, relationships, and lifestyles. My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and unique to you. You are not alone, when you're ready, I'm here. If you'd like to learn more, reach out for a free consultation. I'd love to work with you. Email is the best way to get in touch.
Many of the clients I work with feel weighed down by stress, anxiety, or life transitions. As someone raising two college-age children, I understand how change can bring both growth and uncertainty. Life often pulls us in many directions, and it can be hard to slow down and care for ourselves. Together, we take time to explore what feels heavy, build healthier ways to cope, and create a sense of balance, confidence, and peace.
Hello! My name Dr. Bryce Kamron Davis, Ph.D., I am a postdoctoral resident in Psychology. I’m deeply passionate about helping people navigate their mental health journey and move in a direction that supports their goals! When working with me you can expect someone who is laid back, engaged, and authentic. During our sessions we will explore connections, patterns, and experiences that have guided you to therapy, while also gaining skills, a deeper connection to self, and healing. I have the most experience with treating depression, anxiety, daily stress, academic stress, burnout, relational difficulties (friends, families, partners), social isolation, ADHD, identity exploration, and identify based stress and trauma (e.g. racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.). I have the most experience working with individuals who are LGBTQ+, People of Color, and/or neurodivergent. I also provide psychological evaluations for learning disorders, ADHD, and readiness for gender affirming medical interventions. If you’re curious about what therapeutic modalities inform our work together, I integrate theory and practice primarily from Person-Center Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, while also pulling in tools and resources from Emotion Focused Therapy, Interpersonal/Relational Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Coherence Therapy. A little bit about myself outside of the therapy office, I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. I have lived in Houston, Texas since August 2025, following the completion of my doctoral internship in Reno, Nevada. In my free time I enjoy traveling, museums, comedy shows, Pokemon, anime, movies, art exhibits, and rest/relaxation. When I’m not doing any of those things, you will likely find me doing community service with my fraternity around Houston! I earned by Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri. During my doctoral internship at the University of Nevada – Reno I completed emphases in multicultural counseling and community engagement, and theoretical applications of DBT to general mental health populations.
You’re the strong one — the responsible one — the one who learned early how to hold it together. You navigate different spaces, code-switching when needed, carrying family expectations while trying to build relationships that feel healthy and secure. You’re self-aware, but old attachment patterns still show up. You’re ready to understand what shaped you and create connection that feels safe, mutual, and authentic. I provide trauma-informed, attachment-focused therapy for Black and Brown Millennials and Gen Z adults and couples. Using EMDR and relational therapy, we process generational and relational wounds so you can shift patterns at their root — not just manage the symptoms. You don’t have to keep carrying everything alone. Many of your patterns were learned for survival — they make sense. Therapy offers space to unlearn what no longer serves you and build something healthier. If you’re ready for intentional, culturally responsive depth work, I invite you to reach out.

Hi! My name is Michelle and I have a passion for working with women in the perinatal population, children, and athletes to improve their mental sport performance game! Navigating college and adulthood can be challenging and overwhelming! There is a lot to juggle and sometimes it can feel like a lot or you have to manage it alone. School or being an athlete can feel like a full time job. So it’s okay if you need someone to talk to, someone who’s been there and gets it. Because you don’t have to handle everything by yourself.

Skipping classes, avoiding people, not wanting to bother anyone—these can be signs it’s time to ask for help. I’m here for you, even if you’re unsure, and I hope to offer some guidance and support.
Starting therapy does not mean you are falling apart. Sometimes it just means you are ready to stop carrying everything alone. I work with college students and young adults who are trying to manage school, work, family, relationships, stress, anxiety, and everything else that comes with figuring life out. Some clients come in feeling overwhelmed or burned out. Some are dealing with trauma, self-doubt, relationship issues, or patterns they are tired of repeating. I also enjoy working with BIPOC students, first-generation students, student veterans, service members, and military-connected students. Therapy with me is a space to be honest about what you are carrying, sort through what feels heavy, and feel like someone actually gets it. We can start wherever you are.
