Hi! I’m Katharine. I’m a LCPC now offering video sessions for clients just like you. What worked for you when you when you were 20 is probably not working any more I’ll be in your corner while we figure out what new approaches would work best for you . I like to share outside resources from readings to videos to ideas from all over the web and from the best psychiatrists that have ever lived. This space is yours—a place where we can talk openly, without judgment, and work together to understand what’s going on and how to move forward in a way that feels right for you. In our first few sessions, we’ll get to know each other. I’ll ask some questions to learn about your background and goals, and you can ask me anything about how I work or what to expect from therapy. There's no pressure to share everything all at once—this is your process, and we’ll go at your pace. My goal is to help you feel safe, heard, and supported.
Welcome! As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), I believe that making mental health a priority is key to creating happiness and overall wellbeing. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts, so congratulations on taking that step! I’ve been practicing for over 30 years, and I am now focused on clients aged 12-70 who are struggling with anxiety and depression. Everyone has a unique story and deserves an individualized approach to care. Once we decide to work together, we’ll act as partners in your therapeutic journey. It’s important to me that we communicate openly and you feel respected and empowered in our relationship. I’ll be there to listen to you, challenge you, and support you along the way.
I help high achieving and sensitive women to stop doubting themselves and start feeling grounded and confident. Often, I work with people who are tired of keeping it all together and holding things in. People like you who are done putting themselves last and ready to step into themselves and own their worth. Perfectionists who are ready to let go of having to be perfect all the time. Maybe you’re always the one people can count on, yet you have a hard time accepting help from others. Or you feel as though something is weighing you down, though you can’t quite pinpoint what it is. You look like you have it all together from the outside but you aren’t satisfied with your relationships and know there is more to life. You long to feel seen, heard and understood. Together, we will create space for you to get in touch with yourself and your needs. In working with me, people find themselves having the confidence to make decisions that align with their values and lead to desired change. In sessions, I strive to create a space for people to feel seen, heard and understood on a deep level, with the opportunity and safety to explore their inner worlds. I create offerings that encourage growth, self-discovery and healing through the practices of talk-therapy, EMDR, self-compassion, mindfulness, the Enneagram and yoga.

If you feel that this is your season for change, I would be honored to collaborate with you on your journey. I believe in providing trauma-informed, person-centered care and specialize in working with clients who deal with ADHD, anxiety, depression, chronic physical health problems, life transitions, relational stress, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and mood disorders. A bit about my approach to therapy: Because there is no one-size-fits-all in therapy, I use an Eclectic approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). This allows me to tailor each session to meet your individual needs and preferences. What you can expect from our first session: During our initial session, we will explore what led you to begin therapy and collaborate on how we can meet your goal. In-between sessions, you will have skill-building strategies to use and check-ins during the following sessions to determine effectiveness. We will tailor your journey to promote symptom relief and sustained improvement using emotional regulation and cognitive restructuring.
I’m a trauma-informed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who helps adults heal from the inside out. I specialize in working with those impacted by trauma, childhood abuse, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, anxiety, panic attacks, eating disorders, and emotional overwhelm. Many of my clients arrive feeling disconnected from themselves—exhausted by survival mode, unsure how to feel safe, or burdened by past experiences they were never given space to process. I provide a calm, supportive space where you don’t have to explain everything or be “strong” all the time. Together, we’ll explore what your nervous system has been holding and begin building the safety, clarity, and emotional regulation you need to feel more grounded and whole. My approach supports the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and physical responses—because healing isn't just in the mind; it happens through the body, too. I tailor each session to you. Whether you’re navigating trauma responses, managing daily anxiety, or trying to reconnect with who you are beneath the coping strategies, we will move at your pace—not the pace of pressure or performance. My work integrates evidence-based practices with deep compassion and curiosity. I offer therapy online only, serving adults in Texas and Hawai‘i, with appointments available Monday through Thursday.
You'll learn evidence-based techniques like cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and exposure therapy to regulate physiological arousal, challenge distorted thinking, and gradually confront your issues. You'll discover that you have the innate ability to rewire your thought processes, let go of what's no longer serving you, and step into a life of greater calm, confidence, and fulfillment.

Do you remember a time when worry and insecurity weren’t the “norm”, but those days feel like a distant memory? Don’t you wish you had the tools to change that? You’re in the right place. I help my clients find confidence, happiness, and fulfillment by equipping them with the tools they need to better understand and trust themselves again. I know that your circumstances are unique, so every step we take will be tailored to you with the end goal in mind. My training in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused therapy means I have the expertise you need and deserve when you are healing from anxiety or painful memories. But, at the end of the day, you want to you’re working with someone who “gets” what it means to be a young woman struggling with anxiety, or troubling memories, right? I get it, because I have lived it myself. I’ve had the anxiety that made me question every decision, and the painful memories that keep coming up at inconvenient times. I know sometimes you just want to quit. So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through. Clients come to see me looking for a therapist who helps them feel seen and understood, because therapy should be a place where you feel supported and safe. Sessions with me are about more than just talking. We will incorporate mind and body, so you can experience wholeness again. Together, we get to where you're feeling stuck and work to fix it. An an anxiety and trauma therapist, I believe people have the strength for lasting change. You don't have to continue to worry and you don't have to do it alone. We will always go at your pace, never pushing you to a place you don't feel ready to be.
College-age young adults experience their own unique challenges. In a time of new independence and exploration, there can be a lot of pressure and expectations on young adults to have their lives “figured out”. You may experience difficulties adjusting to a new environment and the challenges that come with that, such as moving away from home, managing your college course load, making friends, etc. Young adulthood also brings about new responsibilities related to school, work/career, and finances, like maintaining your own schedule and paying bills. Many of the college students I work with are dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, relationship issues, stress management, among other challenges. I provide young adult clients with the space to process and unpack their challenges, establish a trustworthy therapeutic relationship, and support them in building up their ability to cope with stress, understand their emotions, and meet their needs.
Through play therapy, even young children (ages 3+) can express big feelings in a safe and nurturing way. I support children experiencing family changes—such as divorce, separation, or parenting transitions—while helping them build coping skills, confidence, and healthy communication. I also work with teens and adults navigating stress, anxiety, life transitions, and self-worth challenges. My approach is encouraging, supportive, and focused on helping each client feel understood and empowered. Using play-based techniques and parent–child interaction strategies, I guide children in expressing emotions, developing self-regulation, and improving interactions at home and school. I also offer parents practical tools and psychoeducation to continue the progress outside the therapy room. For clients who wish to incorporate faith or spirituality into their healing, I provide an integrated approach that honors and supports those values. Whether you’re seeking support for your child, teen, or yourself, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward growth, healing, and emotional well-being.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Clinical Certified Trauma Professional (CCTP), proudly born and raised in Brownsville, Texas. With a strong commitment to mental wellness, I provide compassionate, individualized care designed to support clients in achieving emotional, psychological, and behavioral well-being. My approach to therapy is grounded in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed Care, and Motivational Interviewing. These modalities allow me to support clients in understanding their emotions, building resilience, and creating lasting, positive change. With 13 years of experience in law enforcement, I bring a unique perspective to my practice. I understand the complex demands of high-stress careers and offer specialized support for individuals experiencing PTSD, depression, and other mental health challenges associated with such professions.
I help young adults who feel out of control of their lives. Stressed Out. Overwhelmed. Not quite sure how this whole adulting thing works. Trying to balance school, work, family, friends, and relationships. My clients struggle like you do. Despite being smart, driven, and funny, life is hard. When clients first come in, they may not feel enjoyment in the same activities they used to love. They may tend to mindlessly watch Youtube instead of completing their to-do list. They feel so stressed that they don’t finish tasks, and then beat themselves up for not completing it. The cycle continues as they feel worse and worse. My clients come into therapy looking for support, avoid doing things they used to love, have trouble connecting with family and friends, and find themselves second guessing their decisions. Choices may seem overwhelming, as if one wrong move sends them back to square one. They can’t sleep at night and have trouble completing assignments for college. In counseling, clients and I work together to see their choices in a wider lens and find ways that they are in control. We come up with plans to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Please contact me if you’re ready to take control of your life and be the person you want to be.
