Life often asks women to hold so much—caring for others, navigating relationships, balancing responsibilities, and carrying silent struggles that can feel overwhelming. If you’ve been moving through an eating disorder, body image concerns, grief, trauma, fertility challenges, or simply the load of expectations, you deserve a place that feels safe, affirming, and collaborative. In our work together, you’ll find space to be fully seen and supported, with compassion guiding every step as you reconnect with your strength, your voice, and your true self. I offer a compassionate, collaborative space where honesty, care, and curiosity guide our work. Rather than quick fixes, I help you slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with parts of yourself that feel lost. Together, we’ll build safety and trust while using evidence-based approaches to support meaningful, lasting healing. Here, every part of you is welcome—your questions, your grief, your dreams, and your story. This is a place to release what you’ve been carrying, to feel deeply supported, and to rediscover your resilience. I'll honor your process, creating space for healing, growth, and a return to you, but an updated you that feels in alignment with where you see yourself.

If you are trying to figure out who you are and where you’re headed, you are not alone. This stage of life can feel exciting one minute and overwhelming the next. You might look like you have it together on the outside, but inside you are stressed, anxious, burned out, or unsure of yourself. The students I work best with are thoughtful, self-aware, and trying hard to “do things right.” You care about your future. You want meaningful relationships. You want to succeed. But you may also feel pressure from family, academics, social media, or your own expectations. Maybe you overthink everything. Maybe you procrastinate and then criticize yourself for it. Maybe you feel lonely even when you are surrounded by people. Some of the students I work with are: -Adjusting to college life or struggling with the transition -Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or constantly “on edge” -Navigating identity questions around career, relationships, culture, or sexuality -Recovering from a breakup or friendship shift -Dealing with perfectionism or fear of failure -Questioning whether they’re “good enough” In our work together, we create space to slow down and really listen to what’s going on beneath the surface. Therapy is something we build together, a place to be honest, ask hard questions, and try new ways of coping. We will make sense of what you’re feeling, practice tools to manage stress and self-doubt, and help you move toward a life that feels more grounded and more like your own. You don’t have to wait until things fall apart to reach out. If you’are willing to show up as you are, we can start from there.

Hi, I'm Michelle Gorden, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I am currently training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Gottman Method for couples. I specialize in treating mood disorders, trauma, and PTSD. My background is diverse and supports my ability to help my clients reach their highest potential. I have worked in criminal justice, crisis stabilization, case management, and residential treatment. I strive to work collaboratively with each client in a non-judgmental space to improve overall happiness and well-being. Counseling can help you with many stressors in life such as anxiety, depression, grief, eating disorders, family conflict, and self-exploration. Counseling provides a safe place to take risks, be vulnerable, gain support, and become empowered to change your life. I have a laid-back style and focus on creating a safe space. My approach is pretty eclectic and my philosophy is that therapy can’t be one-size-fits-all. Treatments should be customized to each individual client, couple, or family. Araceli is trained in both Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET), evidence-based approaches that help people better understand and work with chronic conditions such as chronic (unexplained) pain, anxiety, migraines, dizziness/vertigo, IBS, tinnitus, fatigue, brain fog and other stress-related symptoms. These therapies help patients relate to symptoms in a new way—by reducing fear, strengthening the mind-body connection, processing difficult emotions, and helping the brain “unlearn” the patterns that keep symptoms stuck. Araceli’s work focuses on supporting individuals living with chronic conditions to feel safer in their bodies, more emotionally connected, and more empowered in their healing.
I currently have immediate openings for teletherapy and I also offer walk-and-talk sessions at the San Jose Rose Garden. I am licensed in both California and Texas. I have more than ten years of experience working with adolescents and young adults. I most frequently help my college-aged clients navigate the challenges of anxiety, depression, ADHD, executive dysfunction, giftedness, self-esteem and body image issues, relationships, grief, disordered eating, and trauma. I specialize in, and especially enjoy working with, ADHD, gifted persons, and college-aged young adults. As a private practice clinician since 2012, I take an affective, strengths based, approach to therapy. I practice cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, trauma-informed care, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. I work with individuals and families, and I facilitate an LGBTQ+ inclusive group for college-aged young women and non-binary persons. My style of therapy is centered, relaxed, and collaborative. It is vital to my practice that clients know they are talking to a real human being, and my client-therapist relationships are built on mutual trust and safety. I believe that mental healthcare should be holistic. To get at the whole person, I like to explore the interplay between movement, nutrition, sleep, and time spent in nature. And because mental health impacts so much of our lives, I often advocate for my clients and help coordinate support with other academic and healthcare professionals. I strongly believe that mental healthcare should be accessible and easy to navigate for everyone. I welcome clients from all communities, backgrounds, and walks of life. Outside of my home office, I am an avid hiker and eater of takeout. I’m learning to surf, and my favorite part of every day is spending time with my sixteen-year-old wiener dog.
Hi, Are you the ‘good’ daughter/son, the ‘good’ wife/husband, or the ‘good’ mother/father? Does your life look amazing from the outside but feels less than okay on the inside? It’s important that you have the support of someone who sees and understands you and who can respond to what you are going through. I want to help you discover why you are feeling the way you are, and more importantly, teach you the tools to help move you away from suffering, and towards inner peace. As your therapist I will be beside you every step of the way. Together we will navigate towards the joy, happiness, and self-acceptance you deserve. I specialize in brain-based therapies, such as Brainspotting; these specific modalities of treatment focus on the neurobiological variables (neuro networks) of each person to create change, specifically - neuro experiential change. Because understanding the why of behavior is not enough, for new behavior to be created new neural pathways need to be formed. I'm a bilingual in Spanish clinician with 20+ years of experience working in mental health with extensive training and credentials. However, I believe that you are the expert in your own inner world, and I am here to be a safe, grounding, and validating companion. “Nothing could ever be broken that we can't fix together" - Mirabel from Encanto
My name is Ashley. I'm a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner working with Mindful Healing Group LLC. We are accepting new North Carolina and New York patients. We treat a wide range of mental health disorders. We are now accepting patients for Addiction Disorders, including opioid and alcohol use disorders.
To me, therapy is about meeting you where you are at. We can 'sit in the suck' and commiserate but from there we will build up! This is a collaborative relationship; we are colleagues working towards the same goal. I won’t try to impress you with fancy medical jargon or bore you with a lecture. I am a simple person with humble beginnings. I started my career in healthcare at 17 years old as a CNA (Certified nursing assistant) working nights at a tiny rural hospital. I moved into the Chicago suburbs to continue my education but maintained my CNA certificate by working afternoons and nights at a long-term care facility. I graduated with my Master’s in Social work in 2016 from Aurora University. During my initial years as a social worker I worked in mental health case management and hospice. Two years later I received my Licensed Clinical Social Work for the state of Illinois. Not even a month later in 2019 I moved to North Texas where it took me several more year of training before I received my clinical licensure for Texas. During that time I took several different positions to gain a better understanding of all the kinds of work a social worker is capable of. Those positions were intensive outpatient for mental health and addictions, intake, utilization review for a psychiatric hospital and home health. After gaining clinical licensure in Texas, I concentrated my focus to one on one telehealth with adults while they navigate difficult life changes. When I am not working I enjoy cooking, hiking, competing in dog sports, and tending to my plants and home with my spouse, 7 dogs, and one very old rabbit. I volunteer with the local animal shelter working with animals at risk of euthanasia due to behavior issues or medical concerns and in rescue rehabilitating struggling pets. As a clinician I use aspects of cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy and am considered person centered. I regularly provide handouts, suggest videos, or give homework to encourage therapeutic thought and action outside of our sessions. I look forward to meeting you and being part of the healing chapter of your story!
