I support individuals who are navigating significant transitions, managing stress, and dealing with past experiences. I draw from multiple theories to find what works best for each client. I incorporate skills-based approaches, as well as expressive arts, experiential methods, and somatic techniques for processing, exploration, and self-regulation. Whether it’s exploring their identity, building self-esteem, or fostering healthier relationships, my goal is to provide a space where individuals can find balance and understanding. I hope to support others so that no one has to walk their path alone.

Licensed Professional Counselor
Grand Isle, LA

Since 2006, I have worked as a counselor in Louisiana (LPC 3780), Kansas (LCPC 2416), Virginia (LPC 0701008990), and Texas (LPC 86508). Currently, I work with adults who feel stuck whether navigating anxiety, depression, CPTSD, trauma, family challenges, identity, or major transitions. They want relief, self-understanding, hope, and healthier ways to cope. Most of all, they want to feel heard, supported, and capable of moving forward with confidence. I specialize in working with diverse clients, including military families, trauma survivors, those managing both mental health, and substance use. My humanistic, collaborative style helps you uncover strengths, build resilience, and develop practical tools. Together, we’ll create space for healing and real change. I know reaching out takes courage and you don’t have to do it alone. In our work, we’ll honor your unique experiences and create a safe space to explore challenges at your pace. If you’re ready to take that next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you in your journey toward growth.

I help young adults who feel out of control of their lives. Stressed Out. Overwhelmed. Not quite sure how this whole adulting thing works. Trying to balance school, work, family, friends, and relationships. My clients struggle like you do. Despite being smart, driven, and funny, life is hard. When clients first come in, they may not feel enjoyment in the same activities they used to love. They may tend to mindlessly watch Youtube instead of completing their to-do list. They feel so stressed that they don’t finish tasks, and then beat themselves up for not completing it. The cycle continues as they feel worse and worse. My clients come into therapy looking for support, avoid doing things they used to love, have trouble connecting with family and friends, and find themselves second guessing their decisions. Choices may seem overwhelming, as if one wrong move sends them back to square one. They can’t sleep at night and have trouble completing assignments for college. In counseling, clients and I work together to see their choices in a wider lens and find ways that they are in control. We come up with plans to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Please contact me if you’re ready to take control of your life and be the person you want to be.

Everyone struggles with relationship issues, anxiety/worry, work stress, substance use, or uncomfortable feelings. It can also be extremely difficult to find balance and perspective sometimes. My goal is to provide a safe and organized framework for identifying these problems and developing new skills or ways of thinking about them. Ultimately, I help my clients develop the tools needed to manage independently and live a life they're excited about. Due to the current state of the world, I'm also working with a lot of individuals who are feeling isolated and cut off from their "normal" support systems to help them manage life's issues. I grew up in the Dallas area, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in psychology. I then attended graduate school at Assumption University because of its affiliation with the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy. My clinical training was thus focused on a cognitive behavioral approach to treating mental health disorders like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder as well as substance abuse issues. I was also intensively trained during my internship in Dialectical-Behavior Therapy and I utilize this skills-based approach to help adolescents and adults struggling to build and maintain relationships, manage their emotions or crises effectively. My approach to therapy is problem-focused and very much operates in the present. I collaborate with clients to identify goals, develop skills, and implement them in a structured way. The area of focus in therapy tends to be on reframing thoughts or changing behaviors with the end goal of improving mood or circumstance.
