Therapists for college students near 80204
At Zephyr Behavioral Health and Wellness, we work best with students who feel like they’ve been pushing through life on hard mode. You might be overwhelmed, burned out, or constantly second-guessing yourself. Maybe school feels harder than it should, relationships feel confusing, or you’re exhausted from trying to keep up with expectations that don’t quite fit who you are. Many of the students we support are neurodivergent (including ADHD, autism, or sensory differences), navigating anxiety or depression, or carrying the weight of chronic stress or past experiences. Some come to us feeling stuck or misunderstood. Others are high-achieving but quietly struggling beneath the surface. You don’t need to have everything figured out to get started. Our team focuses on creating a space that is affirming, collaborative, and practical. Where you can show up as you are and build tools that actually work for your brain, your goals, and your life. If you’re looking for support that feels respectful, personalized, and aligned with who you are, Zephyr may be a good fit for you.
It is an honor and an inspiration to witness a person’s growth. Being a part of that transformation is my passion and my life’s work. I am a transpersonal therapist, meaning that I hold a person’s emotional journey within the larger context of their overall spiritual path. Transpersonal psychotherapy is unique from traditional psychotherapy in that it views a person as a spiritual being who is having a human experience. From that perspective, the process of developing self-awareness is a remembering of the essential nature. Expanding one’s consciousness becomes a sacred unfoldment through which we begin to create ourselves and our lives intentionally. Through a delicate balance of self-love and self-honesty, we can begin to discern the persona we have created from the essence of who we are. As the ego, or personality, becomes increasingly easy to identify, we are able to recognize and resist its programming and begin taking ownership of our choices. Trying to control our external reality is exhausting and ultimately impossible, but our inner reality can be entirely of our choosing. True freedom and security is cultivated within and brings an unshakeable sense of peace to even life’s roughest waters.
Can You Relate? As a teen, you feel lost, broken, misunderstood, unseen and unheard. You don’t know why it has to be so hard. You look around and desire the relationships, confidence and life that other people seem to have so easily. You’re worried about what other people think and can’t seem to get out in your head. As a young adult, you search for independence, but feel overwhelmed with all the “adulting”. There are so many transitions to manage and questions you can’t answer just yet. You want to address the things that do not feel quite right, so you can create the best version of yourself and thrive. Im a firm believer that your struggles do not define you. You come with a unique set of beliefs and experiences that shape the way you show up with yourself and the world. I welcome all my clients to show up to our space exactly as they are, and I promise to do the same. As I often find myself pushing back on traditional ways of thinking about approaches to mental health and wellness, I embrace the unconventional and seek to find out-of-the-box and cutting edge solutions that align with your values, strengths and goals. I don’t treat problems — I partner with you. Together, we will build a connected and balanced life free of the limitations you currently feel and experience. I’m excited to get to know you! I’m even more excited for you to get to know yourself in new, life-changing ways. Throughout our time together, we will look at all the not-so-fun parts of you and the not-yet-understood parts. Most importantly, you’ll discover the very best parts of you that were always there, but perhaps got a bit lost as life got more complicated.
The clients who tend to do best with us are people who are looking for support that fits their individual needs while still allowing them to live at home and stay connected to their everyday lives. Many are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally drained and are looking for guidance and structure to help them feel more stable. We provide weekly individual therapy, medication management, and a structured Intensive Outpatient Program, allowing clients to receive the level of care that best matches where they are. We work with children, adolescents, and adults who may be experiencing anxiety, mood changes, trauma, stress, or difficulty coping with daily challenges. Our program is a good fit for people who are open to participating in therapy, learning practical coping skills, and working collaboratively with a treatment team. Clients do not need to have everything figured out, just a willingness to engage and take steps toward feeling better. If you or your family are looking for flexible, comprehensive mental health care that can grow and change with your needs, our program may be a good fit.
I am a good fit for clients who are seeking an active therapist. I work well with clients who are motivated for self-exploration and behavioral change. I believe therapy offers clients an opportunity to explore discomfort, emotional pain, and discover how to live more authentically. During college years, living away from home often for the first time can be challenging. Introduction to new theories and perspectives as well as people from different backgrounds can be anxiety provoking, shaking up what was previously thought to be "truths." Many college students find themselves reworking their sense of self, wanting to become their best most authentic self.
I aspire to be a healing force for connection, walking with you to explore the depths of your experiences and relationships. This process enables one to discover new ways of relating to themselves, others, and their world- nurturing a more intimate relationship with oneself makes space for deeper connections throughout life. A quote that speaks to me on this is “Techniques only work when they are not techniques; change happens when one becomes what they already are, not when they try to be what they are not". I specialize in helping people explore how their worldview shapes their interactions with themselves, others, and their environment- particularly through the lens of connection and meaning. We’ll work together to navigate all the parts of yourself that show up in the world, fostering a sense of wholeness, alignment, and possibility. Having an exploration heavy approach, areas that I typically work with are identity, relationships, career, spirituality, depression, trauma, anxiety, neurodivergence, and anger. If this resonates with you, I would be happy to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. Let’s explore how therapy can help you live a more meaningful and connected life.

As a therapist, I believe that every individual has an innate capacity for wisdom, healing, and wholeness. My role is to provide a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported and empowered to access their inner strengths. Guided by a deep commitment to unconditional positive regard, I focus on creating meaningful therapeutic connections that honor each client’s unique experiences and identity. Growing up a neurodivergent child, I was medicated and pushed into talk therapy that only seemed to make things worse to be completely honest. What offered me the most solace in these times was my relationship to nature and animals. For this reason, I find it important to offer trauma-informed, diverse approaches to therapy, such as animal-assisted therapy, mindfulness and nature based therapies, walk-and-talk sessions, and nature retreats, as well as, traditional office and telehealth sessions. It is very important to me to provide therapy that is flexible and accessible for clients to engage in, so we will collaborate to find the best approach for your sessions possible! Whether you are a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and are in need of support, or you’re experiencing neurodivergent burnout, navigating life transitions, working to build self-acceptance, or healing from past experiences, I promise to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and authenticity. Together, we will create a space where your voice is heard, your identity is celebrated, and your journey toward healing feels affirming and grounded.
I strive to provide excellent care to my clients through a diverse set of modalities tailored to their needs. I look forward to working with you to meet your goals, whatever they might be.

As we grow and face the world, so too grows the number of challenges and responsibilities we face. And with this increase comes the possibility for new anxieties, new depression, and new traumas to arise. Often we can be left feeling unprepared because life rarely gives us a roadmap to dealing with these complex issues. Therapy can be a daunting task, but that doesn't mean it's not a good thing. Seeking help is the first step to starting a positive change and it is only once we embrace that change that we can reach a happier and healthier place. If you've been struggling more often then not, I encourage you to reach out. Whether it's just needing a safe place to talk about life's stressors, building coping skills, seeking solutions, or beginning to work on long held traumas, we will work together to face these issues as a team.
