At Ellie - Aurora City Center we strive to meet our clients where they're at to help them get where they want to be. We don’t believe people are broken. But we also don’t believe that “fine” is the ceiling of their potential. We believe therapy is part of the ongoing work of being human. Being human is the hardest thing any of us will ever do and while there is no universal map or linear path, billions of people have walked this terrain before and their collective wisdom across multiple dimensions is essential to framing our understanding of ourselves and each other There’s insight, strategy, and perspective available but no one can walk the path for anyone else. Our role as therapists isn’t to dictate or diagnose from a distance. Nor are we passive companions. We walk with our clients, actively supporting their journeys with clarity, accountability, and emotional safety. Therapy is where insight becomes action, and where healing isn’t handed over—it’s created, felt, and lived. We promise to show up, bring our full humanity, and help clients travel their paths with courage and clarity.
We live in a world full of things that can make life feel like a challenge. Stress, anxiety, adverse experiences, and complicated relationships can make it difficult to feel motivated on the day-to-day. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and that the role of the therapist is to help clients feel safe and supported so that together we can address whatever a client may bring into session. I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR and hypnotherapy, to address trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, relational concerns, exploration of gender and sexuality, and more. I am licensed to practice in both Nevada and Colorado to see individuals, couples, and families ages 6 and up. If you are feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or looking for someone to help you make sense of whatever you are struggling with, I am happy to assist! Please reach out to schedule an intake or consultation to see if I am the right therapist for you.

As a therapist my goal is to serve as a thought partner to recognize, analyze, and eventually untie the tethers that hold clients back from their best lives. Together, with nature as our muse, we will embark on this work. Therapy is an iterative process by which participants are able to free themselves and recognize their own purpose and power.
Is the pain of your past making it difficult to live in the present? Have you lost a sense of safety in your life? Do you struggle with getting hijacked by feelings of shame, anxiety, anger, or sadness? Are your relationships suffering and you wonder how you will ever learn to trust again? Are you a parent and feel "stuck" in how to connect with your child and set kind and firm limits that will nurture healthy development? Are you paralyzed by fears of being abandoned or repeating the patterns of harm in current relationships that you experienced as a child? If your answer to any of these questions is yes, then you are not alone. You want to feel empowered to know that while you cannot change the past, you can change your relationship with the past. You want to understand the purpose of your emotions, understand your needs, and make choices that nurture your emotions rather that having them control you. You want to raise confident, capable, courageous, and compassionate children. When you have the courage to be authentically yourself with someone else you can begin to grow and transform. People seek therapy for many reasons, to make changes or process difficult experiences. My goal is to help you better understand yourself and it is essential to me that you feel heard and accepted in our work. Then we can explore together the changes you want to make in your life and how I can support you to enact those changes. You are the expert in your life and I want to help you move in a direction that feels best for you. I honor the range of identities (gender, ethnicity, sexuality, etc.) and strengths that you bring to therapy. My approach to therapy is collaborative, warm, and active. I enjoy working with a variety of concerns, but most often work with food and body image concerns, gender identity development, anxiety, issues facing college students, trauma, depression and relationship issues. I also provide gender affirming therapy and gender confirmation support letters. Therapy tends to be most successful when clients feel empowered to ask questions and share feedback. I offer a free phone consultation to see if I would be a good fit for your needs. I look forward to supporting you in your personal exploration and growth.

Hi, I’m Kate. While I have experience working with a wide variety of individuals, I have two main areas of expertise. First, I am passionate about working with individuals who have been through traumatic experiences and challenging childhoods. My second interest is working with young adults. I help young adults embrace change, explore relationships, navigate transitions, and facilitate self discovery.
