I find that life transitions can be overwhelming and feel lonely. Life transitions can look like anything: leaving home, starting college, loosing your job, finding out you have a chronic illness, getting married, getting divorced, loosing a loved one, having a baby, or discovering you're an addict, to name a few. Sure there's books on a lot of different subjects and friends can be helpful. But everything has it's limits. Maybe nobody seems very willing to listen, maybe that's even just it, there's nobody to listen, or maybe you don't want to overwhelm others. I put on a lot of different hats: listener, advocate, leader, cheerleader, challenger, teacher, validator, coach, researcher, or surrogate. We do whatever it takes to get you to the point where you feel like you're done with therapy. Most often I find people feel that they are done when they feel at peace.

As a licensed personal training, I am also able to provide customized workout programs for clients to coincide with their weight management program. No more dieting! I also am a Certified Insomnia Treatment Clinician and offer 6-week online group treatment programs for insomnia! In addition, I specialize in working with individuals with self-esteem and anxiety issues as well as numerous other concerns, including body image, relationship issues, and parenting. I enjoy learning about clients from a very dynamic perspective - where they came from, how they are now, and who they wish to become. I look forward to working with you and watching you grow into the person you have always wanted to be. I am trained in both short term (6-10 sessions) and long term therapy, and encourage clients to make their own decision regarding what they need from therapy. I also do stand-alone evaluations for emotional support animal letters.

We all want to be loved and experience pleasure, but getting there can be difficult in the culture of perfectionism we live in. This perfectionism shows up everywhere and results in thinking you need to look like a model in order to get a partner, trying to be good at everything, and goal-oriented sex that is more focused on performance than pleasure. Instead of feeling sexy, people feel stressed, lonely, inadequate, and guilty. I work with people who want to feel confident and sexy, have a healthy relationship/s with someone/s who is there for them, be able to communicate clearly, stand up for themselves, and have mind-blowing sex. I’ve worked in sexuality for 10 years, helping college students whose sex life is struggling. I help people of all genders & sexualities have less fear & anxiety, more confidence, stronger relationships, and better sex. My clients get good at connecting with themselves & their partners, moving past toxic patterns, & having open conversations. You’re not broken, even if it feels like it. I know what it’s like to feel lost when it comes to sex and relationships, not have healthy role models, feel like you have to figure it all out yourself, be judged unfairly, and be so focused on performance and being perfect that you miss out on pleasure. But all that can change. You deserve love--and hot sex.

MY PHILOSOPHY: As a Counselor, Coach and Ayurvedic Consultant I approach the therapeutic process from a holistic view point. I believe that the integration of the body, mind and spirit is an essential expression of personal health. Many of today’s Mental, Physical and Social Illnesses stem from a lack of integration-disintegration, resulting in persons dissociated from themselves, the community and the environment. My focus is on the whole person, with special emphasis on how the mind is connected directly to the body and how a person thinks, feels and acts. Emphasis will be on wellness, with symptoms seen as calls to self-realization. MY SPECIALTIES: Individual counseling services for disorders such as: Anxiety Spectrum disorders like: Panic Attacks, PTSD, OCD, Social anxiety, Phobias, IBS, Stress management and Worry; Depressive disorders like: Mania, Bipolar disorder, Post-partum depression, and Depression; Sleep disorders like Insomnia and sleep/wake disorders Group practice: I have a team of counselors who work with me. In the event that so don’t have openings my team will be able to help with the case load.

Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Denver, CO

My name is Blanca Martinez Walter and I am a licensed Latina holistic and spiritual therapist, living in Denver, Colorado. I am licensed in both the state of California and Colorado. The fancy title I have earned is Licensed Clinical Social Worker, but I prefer the other title (spiritual therapist). I blend my experience working with Latinx in psychotherapy with my deep interest in spirituality and the mind, body, and soul connection. My therapeutic approach is holistic, incorporating intuition, signs that universe sends you, body awareness, inner child work, and a comprehensive understanding of your past and present experiences to understand how you came to be. In my practice I work with first generation latinas/latinos seeking change, wanting to get more attuned to their intuition, open to looking at past patterns and being challenged, all the while doing so with a therapist that has a cultural background similar to theirs. Common issues addressed in my practice include the effects of childhood parentification, perfectionism, self-care issues, life transitions, grief, relationship challenges, and other issues unique to the first-generation experience. As your therapist, I will be your cheerleader and I will also be that person that challenges you and disagrees with you, because without discomfort there is no growth. I balance both humor, gentleness and disagreement in my therapeutic sessions. And yes, I speak Spanglish. I offer a free 15 min consultation to determine what your needs are going to be, what you are looking for in treatment and with that determine whether we would be a good match. I can offer a special rate for college students of $90 for 45 minutes. *If you are dealing with suicidal thoughts, it may be determined that telehealth is not the option.

Gertie Breffle MA, LPC Sessions with me take on a mentor, down to earth, gritty feel. Using techniques and practices from the latest trauma research as well as attachment frame working, I help clients learn to use body/mind practices as well as attachment work to heal and strengthen relationships with self and others, and to heal the nervous system in addressing concerns with trauma, anxiety, depression, addictions, and relationships. I use a combination of techniques and practices from the latest trauma researchers, as well as EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Multi-systemic Family Therapy, and mindfulness practices. I facilitate strengthening and healing relationships with self and others within the contexts of individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy.
