I believe the foundation of good health is rooted within oneself. My passion lies in supporting individuals who struggle with acknowledging their strengths and empowering them to tackle challenges with confidence. Whether individuals face diverse challenges or just need a listening ear, I am dedicated to providing a safe and supportive space for all. I place a high priority on meeting my clients where they feel most comfortable and working collaboratively with them towards their goals. Having worked in a range of settings such as schools, community health centers, and private practice, I bring a wealth of knowledge to advocate for each individual's unique needs. I specialize in accentuating strengths and equipping individuals with effective tools to achieve success, with one of the key tools being self-regulation. I firmly believe that our reactions to situations are among our greatest freedoms. I am excited to offer a non-judgmental and safe environment to start your journey of self-discovery and healing, regardless of where you are currently in life.
It's nice to meet you! My name is Erica (she/her), and I am a queer therapist working with students who struggle with disordered eating, relationship wounds, anxiety, and substance use. Are you searching for relief from constantly critiquing what you eat or what your body looks like? Then this is the space for you. Are you tired of feeling as though you aren't good enough? Or perhaps you've realized that you're coping with stress in ways that make you think "this isn't me...". Then this too, is the space for you. Many of my clients are college students who are seeking to find more internal stability, emotional regulation, and a deeper understanding and acceptance of who they are. Therapy can help you understand yourself better, feel more self-assured, and provide you with the tools to better manage internal and external stress. I offer a free 30 minute consultation so that we can meet and chat a bit more about how you need support. If you think we might be a good fit, I encourage you to reach out! Wishing you the best in wherever your mental health journey takes you.

Together we can explore patterns, bring awareness, cultivate compassion and find fresh perspectives to support you to thrive. Starting or navigating college is a massive transition, and it’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed. Many of the students I work with find themselves feeling stuck, exhausted, or constantly bracing for the next deadline. You might be a good fit for my practice if you recognize yourself in any of these experiences: The Anxiety Loop: Your mind won't shut off, you're constantly overthinking social interactions, or you feel a paralyzing pressure to be perfect. The Weight of Depression: You’re feeling drained, losing interest in things you used to enjoy, or finding it incredibly hard to just get out of bed and attend class. The ADHD Hurdle: You want to succeed, but staying organized, focusing on lectures, and overcoming procrastination feel like an uphill battle every single day. In our sessions, you don’t have to pretend you have it all together. There is no judgment here. Together, we will figure out what’s draining your energy and build practical, real-world strategies to help you manage stress, regain your focus, and actually enjoy your college experience. You don't have to carry this alone—let's take it one step at a time.

I specialize in supporting individuals from Asian, Asian American, and multicultural backgrounds who navigate bicultural or multicultural experiences. Additionally, I work with individuals who identify as Highly Sensitive Persons (HSPs) or Empaths and have experienced childhood relational trauma. I offer contemplative somatic psychotherapy and coaching services. Contemplative somatic psychotherapy and coaching are integrative approaches that combine mindfulness, body-based practices, and talk therapy to explore the mind-body connection. This therapeutic method focuses on understanding how emotions and experiences are stored in the body and utilizes techniques to promote healing, self-awareness, and personal growth.
Many of the clients I work best with are young adults navigating major transitions — starting college, adjusting to new expectations, exploring identity, building relationships, or trying to figure out what comes next. I previously worked at CU Boulder supporting students through the Early Intervention Program and Collegiate Recovery Community, and I understand many of the unique challenges that come with this stage of life. My approach combines traditional therapy with mindfulness and body awareness to help you better understand yourself, manage stress and anxiety, and build a stronger connection with your thoughts, emotions, and needs. Many people come to therapy understanding why they feel stuck but still struggling to create lasting change. Together, we’ll slow down, explore what is happening beneath the surface, and develop greater self-compassion, flexibility, and choice. If you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in old patterns, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, I’d be honored to support you. A free 20-minute consultation is an opportunity to see if working together feels like the right fit.
I have been working in the outpatient setting for over 10 years. I've rotated through a student mental health clinic during my training and have worked with many college aged students. College can be an exciting time of change and growth and finding purpose and connection. College can also be a big adjustment, as you acclimate to a new setting, new responsibilities and being away from home for an extended period, sometimes for the first time. It is often during these big life changes that you may need a little extra help settling in, getting into new routines. Through a combination of therapy and careful use of medication, we can work on getting you in a place to fully engage in and enjoy your college experience.
I have been working with CU Grad and Undergrad students since 2019 and have really enjoyed my work. I specialize in trauma recovery work (Somatic Experiencing) and am PACT trained Couples Counselor as well. Please have a look at my website for more info: trinarbrown.com. Please feel free to contact me by phone or email. Prices for couples work are different than individual. Please let me know if you are interested.
Do you feel numb or disconnected lately? Struggling to manage emotions, stay focused, or keep up with everything on your plate? Maybe perfectionism is running the show—even when you’re exhausted. Maybe you’re using drinking, weed, or other habits to cope. Maybe guilt, shame, or feeling “not enough” hits you more than you let on. Relationships might feel confusing or repetitive, or you might find yourself always on alert, restless, isolating, or overworking because slowing down feels uncomfortable. College can also bring up painful experiences you didn’t expect—old wounds, traumatic events, or something that happened (like sexual assault or abuse) that changed how you feel about yourself, others, or the world. Adjusting socially, emotionally, and academically can be harder than anyone talks about. If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. And you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I work experientially, integrating somatic approaches, EMDR, psychodrama, and other in-action modalities to help you reconnect with yourself, shift stuck patterns, and feel more grounded and in control of your life again.
Welcome to a space of warmth, non-judgment, and compassion! I enjoy working with people who are on a journey of self-introspection and discovery. You are the expert of your own life - I am here to help empower you with an approach of gentleness and humor. My work experiences include treatment of eating disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, relationship issues, grief, and perfectionism. I have extensive experience with college-aged clients from my time spent as a therapist at CU Boulder. As an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, I value and respect diverse perspectives. I am passionate about helping people stay present while experiencing meaning and joy. If you are looking to live intentionally and mindfully, we can work together to help you begin your progress towards a more fulfilling life. (Note: I cannot see students attending CU Boulder for my private practice due to my employment at the university)
You may look like you are holding it together, but inside you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and tired of riding an emotional rollercoaster. Maybe anxiety, depression, trauma, or intense mood swings are making it hard to show up at work, in relationships, or even for yourself. If you feel like your emotions are too big, your thoughts race, or you keep repeating patterns that hurt you or the people you love, you are not alone. Together we can slow things down, make sense of what you are going through, and build skills that actually work in real life. I specialize in anxiety, trauma, depression, mood and personality disorders, relationship issues, and substance use. I use DBT, CBT, EMDR, and mindfulness based tools to help you reduce self blame, manage crises, set boundaries, and create steadier relationships with yourself and others. Clients describe me as warm, direct, and nonjudgmental. I will honor your story while also gently challenging the beliefs that keep you stuck, so therapy feels like a real partnership instead of you doing this on your own. If you are ready to feel more grounded and hopeful, request a session through my Headway link. https://care.headway.co/providers/christina-mathews?state=COLORADO

My expertise is in helping people change how they feel or behave using evidence-based therapy and guidance. I focus on building a trusting relationship in which you feel open to discuss and work on whatever aspects of your life that you are hoping to change. People tell me they quickly feel at ease talking with me. Together we assess what feelings, thoughts or behaviors you would like to change or feel differently about or how you would like a relationship to be different. We make goals together to guide this process. I then guide you on how to make these changes, sustain them, and assess when you have attained them.
Through virtual therapy, I work with adolescents and young adults who are navigating lifes challenges. I will meet you with a nonjudgemental, accepting, and collaborative perspective to walk alongside you through the hard stuff. I believe you don't have to go through these challenges alone, whether it is anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, social anxiety, family or life changes, or you are exploring your identity or life goals. I will meet you where you are at and we can work through this challenging time together. Some of the modalities of therapy that I use include art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, parts work with IFS, EMDR, somatic methods (body awareness), and I love to incorporate neuroscience and breath work depending on each person's personal preference. Therapy should be a soft and safe place to land. Together, we’ll focus on your strengths, empowering you to face challenges with confidence and authenticity. I look forward to meeting you- reach out for a free consultation and we can get started!
You are insightful, sensitive, and often hard on yourself — even when no one else sees it. Maybe you’ve learned to cope by staying busy, staying strong, or staying small. But beneath the surface, you’re longing for more: more peace, more connection, more truth. I work with college students navigating anxiety, trauma, self-worth, relationship struggles, and life transitions
