If you feel burnt out, like you are doing too much, and that saying "no" feels overwhelming to consider, I might be a good fit for you. In addition to psychotherapy, I received training in Mindfulness and Meditation which helps with anxiety, emotional awareness, and self-compassion. I also use DBT skills training because I find that some behavioral work can be useful depending on each client's therapeutic process. I look forward to joining you in your journey when you are ready.
I approach therapy through a cognitive, culturally sensitive, and mindfulness based lens. I utilize EMDR to help process trauma and other negative emotions stored in the body. I have completed EMDR basic training under Deany Laliotis, LICSW and am working toward my full EMDR certification under the consultation of Dr. Pegah Moghaddam, PsyD. I work with clients experiencing a myriad of clinical concerns including depression, anxiety, life transitions, and grief. Additionally, I have a passion for working with individuals overcoming complex trauma, including sexual abuse. Some of my other clinical experiences include working with substance use, HIV/AIDS, eating disorders, and suicidal ideation. Many of my clients are seeking out culturally sensitive care, where their identities are given the space to be seen and heard. During our time together we will work on building awareness of thought patterns, beliefs, and narratives that no longer serve you. I believe we all have the power to re-write unhelpful narratives, challenge negative thoughts, and transform our lives.
In the words of Susan David, “discomfort is the admission price to a full life.” This profound truth guides my approach to therapy. Growth often begins in those challenging moments when we face what feels difficult—yet it’s precisely these moments that open doors to our most authentic and fulfilling lives. I like to view counseling as a process of returning home to yourself. Between the pressure of living in today’s world, traumatic experiences, and wounds we experience along the way, we can get disconnected from our values, wisdom, inner strength, and creative spirit. The good news is we get to make this journey together. I am committed to sitting with you with warmth and a calming presence as we walk through the counseling process together. Guided by both relational and somatic approaches such as Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory, and Polyvagal Theory, we will address your concerns through a holistic lens encompassing mind, body, and spirit.
I bring empathy, knowledge and life experience to helping individuals deepen understanding of themselves, face challenging life transitions and endeavors, and build meaningful and successful relationships. I strive to create a safe, affirming, collaborative and compassionate space seeking understanding, healing and growth. I provide counseling through the lens of Neurodiversity, Polyvagal Theory and Internal Family Systems. I have dedicated my career to building communities of diversity, empathy, creativity, and advocacy and especially enjoy working with young adults on the precipice of change. If you are interested in learning more about me and ways we can work together, please contact me for a free 15 minute phone conversation.
Therapy is a journey into yourself. It is choosing to step forward into growth rather than shy back into what is safe and comfortable. When we talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. This process of self-discovery isn’t easy, but certainly worth it! My approach to counseling is that of being direct, honest, and straightforward. I work hard to balance that with care, compassion, and empathy. I will push you, but not past your limits. At times it may feel as if I am pushing you past your limits but that is because often times we aren’t able to see our true potential.
As compassionate, experienced LGBTQ+ therapists, we can help you with anxiety, depression, relationships, sexuality or gender identity and begin achieving your vision of a better life. You may be feeling stressed, alone, depressed, or anxious. Maybe you don’t know what is wrong - your life just feels empty and lacking purpose. One thing you do know is that you’re tired of the struggle. You’re hoping a therapist can help - and we CAN help - even if you feel doubtful about that right now. We offer the safe, affirming space for you.

I specialize in supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds as they navigate major life transitions, anxiety, self-esteem, assertive communication, and relationship building. My therapy services cater to individuals ranging from 7 years old to adulthood, providing individual, parent, and family therapy. Sessions with me are crafted to explore the underlying motivations behind behaviors, fostering a non-judgmental mindset, and aligning actions with goals of self-efficiency, regulation, mindfulness, and fulfillment. In group settings, I work with elementary, middle, and high schoolers, as well as young adults, to introduce coping skills, promote positive interactions, and address challenges related to executive function. I utilize art, play, and talk therapy techniques to empower clients to reach their full potential. I am particularly passionate about supporting parents in managing role balancing and enhancing family communication, empowering them to model healthy behaviors for their children. My aim is to create an environment that reduces stigma surrounding mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders, promoting open dialogue and understanding. I operate as an out-of-network provider. Individual sessions are priced between $120 and $175, depending on the appointment time. Sessions scheduled between 10 AM and 1 PM on Mondays through Thursdays are priced at $120, while appointments between 3 PM and 5 PM are $175. Our office provides superbills for potential insurance reimbursement.
I work with many college and graduate students around issues related to life transitions, emerging adulthood, family conflict, academic and career stress, anxiety and depression. I work in person in Decatur, close to Emory's campus and virtually in New York, Georgia, and Maine.
I help folks with Eating Disorders and other people who want to find a positive and peaceful relationship with food, who are ready for an alternative to prescriptive diets and fads, and looking for a more sustainable solution to their eating woes: whether that physical symptoms, dysfunctional eating, negative body image, or food preoccupation. I use utilize the principles of Intuitive Eating and operate from a weight-neutral lens, meaning focus on behaviors and measurable health outcomes (both physical and psychological) vs. a weight-centric approach and over-reliance on BMI (a wildly inappropriate tool for individual assessment). Evidence-based nutrition counseling services from a license professional are offered via Telehealth or in person at my Decatur office, to folks living in Georgia who want a whole-person and collaborative approach to wellness.
