My practice is dedicated to providing a supportive, confidential space where we can talk through these experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and thrive both in school and in life. I have a direct, strength based approach, and focus on finding solutions and strategies that work in your everyday life. I'm passionate about helping young adults manage anxiety, overcome self-doubt, and address the mental health challenges that can impact their academic success and overall well-being. It has always been my take on life that we must find joy and satisfaction in what we do and who we are. I have been working as a mental health professional since 2006 and I find joy in the work that I do each and every day. I prioritize creating a healthy balance between the work that I love, my self-care, and time with my family. I value the opportunity I have to help people find their way and find balance in their lives, whether this is through closure with the past or building new skills to cope with current life challenges. I knew when I was a teenager that this is the work that I wanted to do. I have always felt drawn towards helping people. I received my undergraduate degree from Flagler College in Florida and earned my Graduate degree from Assumption College here in MA. Right out of school, I worked for South Bay Mental Health doing in-home therapy. Once I became licensed I moved into an office setting and I worked at Arbour Counseling for about 8 years. After which I started graduating into private practice. A few colleagues and I came together to create Grove Counseling Services in Worcester, MA. Until COVID-19 presented, we were thriving. I now work out of Millbury, MA and continue to do what I love.
I work with people who are looking to embark on a process of intentional healing, self understanding, growth and actualization. I'm here to support you if you are struggling with anxiety, depression, identity issues, interpersonal challenges, difficulties with motivation and focus, healing of trauma, and/or wrestling with life's big questions. Therapy, to me, is a highly collaborative process. You are driving the bus and deciding where to go, and I am here to help you navigate through a process of deep listening, reflection, and psychoeducation. Sessions often focus on expressing emotions, needs, desires and boundaries effectively. We can also explore trauma healing, life goals, passions or spiritual beliefs. Examining communication skills and relationship dynamics helps to strengthen interpersonal connections. We can do talk therapy, or add in creativity, play, art making, music and/or movement! I am a licensed mental health counselor. My goal is to support clients with their mental health as well as stress management, relationship issues, and finding the appropriate services. Therapy does not have to solely be for people in crisis. Being proactive with your mental health and attending therapy can have long-lasting benefits. My first goal when starting with a client is building rapport. In order for therapy to be effective, there needs to be a mutual trust between the client and therapist. I primarily use a cognitive behavioral and person centered approach to therapy. Although every session typically includes “talk therapy,” I also try to use a variety of interventions. I also have a therapy dog in my office who loves to cuddle on the couch with patients.

Anxiety and depression can make college feel overwhelming—constant worry, overthinking, feeling on edge, sudden waves of panic, or getting stuck in “what if” thoughts and mental loops. For some students, it also shows up as perfectionism, needing things to feel just right, or feeling driven to overanalyze, check, or mentally replay situations. For others, they get stuck and can't make decisions, start tasks, and quickly fall behind. My work with students is practical, goal-focused, and skills-based. Together, we focus on tools you can actually use in daily life—learning how to step out of worry and mental loops, tolerate uncertainty and distress, understand and name emotions, and respond more flexibly when strong, uncomfortable emotions show up. We’ll also look at how your emotions influence your choices, habits, and relationships, and work toward changes that help you move forward. The goal isn’t to eliminate anxiety or other uncomfortable emotions completely, but to help emotions to have less control over your thoughts, decisions, and day-to-day life so you can feel more present and grounded. My focus is on individual therapy for anxiety, social anxiety, panic, OCD, adjustment issues, depression and trauma focused therapy for PTSD.
