Many clients come to me as they're feeling stuck and something isn't working for them, or alternatively, they're experiencing anxiety and overwhelm, perhaps related to transitions or trauma. Either way, I work to help people access what already exists within them, and help them feel better. I'm certified in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, which is a body based oriented talk therapy used to help people heal from trauma and other relational injuries.
I am a LICSW with over fifteen years of experience where I collaborate with clients to discover a resiliency within themselves. My most rewarding experiences have been with young adults who may be just beginning or those returning to college and managing the challenges that arise. I work with individuals who may experience a range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, adjusting to life transitions and those impacted by trauma and systems of oppression. I bring warmth, compassion and sometimes humor to our conversations and enjoy working with individuals who are interested in understanding more about themselves and how they move through the world.

My practice specialization is focused on women’s issues and perinatal mental health. In response to the recent changes in access to women's reproductive healthcare, many of us are feeling confused, scared, (and p*ssed off!). I provide a safe space for women to process whatever emotions they may be feeling as a result of their direct experiences or related to future concerns. I believe that the relationship between clinician & client is the foundation for a successful therapy experience. Please know that I realize how difficult it is to connect with a “stranger” when you are feeling overwhelmed and vulnerable. Therapy can be challenging, but it can also be very enlightening. Loss of birth family/culture, identity/connection. I am a clinical social worker and expressive art therapist. I'm passionate about art and mental health education and use both to support people as they develop skills and learn therapeutic tools to manage symptoms. In individual therapy, I enjoy working with young adults to help them develop positive relationships with themselves. I want to learn about you, how you think, how you learned those things, and what truly energizes you. Therapy can focus on processing the past using art and EMDR while also focusing on falling in love with the present. My speciality is using expressive art in therapy.
