One of my favorite quotes is " Life ain't always beautiful, but it's a beautiful ride." I have often found that life can throw you a curveball when you least expect it, and it is often hard to navigate those challenges on your own. Have you ever found yourself feelings anxious, overwhelmed, or depressed about things going on in your life? What if you could have an unbiased, safe space to openly express those thoughts or feelings without needing to censor yourself or fear judgement. That is what I do, provide a safe space where you can feel empowered to openly express yourself and work towards achieving your goals. I have been a social worker for 26 years, helping individuals navigate on-going struggles in their lives such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, end of life, and grief. I utilize talk therapy and humor to assist my clients in working through their thoughts/fears and help them learn new approaches for coping with life's challenges.

Navigating this new life as a student can be difficult. You are experiencing many different changes, while keeping up with all that is required of you in your classes. It is all overwhelming. This is where talking to someone who specializes in managing stress, depression, anxiety and so much more can help you achieve success. I am passionate about working with students throughout their college careers and beyond. Obtaining a higher education is a huge achievement, but that doesn't mean it doesn't come without stress and hardships. Connections-U is an online group with a goal to foster connections with those who are struggling with similar issues such as depression, anxiety, boundaries, motivation, self-esteem, guilt & shame, anger management, grief & loss, thinking errors, codependency, addiction, time management, life adjustment and much, much more! The group meets once per week to gain support from peers through group discussion. The group is educational and interactive focusing on a different topic each week to gain skills and better regulate emotions. Space is limited, contact me today to reserve your spot.

I am a fully licensed psychologist who specializes in providing assessment services for adults, adolescents, and children. The path to self-understanding can be a challenging one. My goal through testing is to provide a safe place for individuals to gain insight into their behaviors, personality, and mental health concerns. These assessments typically examine the person's history, behavioral observations, and test results to provide appropriate diagnosis and treatment recommendations. I am well versed with psychological testing with diagnosis of attention issues (ADD/ADHD) and differential diagnosis for clinical syndromes. I also offer screening for learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you are already juggling classes, relationships, and figuring out your next steps. But you don’t have to navigate it all alone. I believe therapy is a collaborative partnership where you are the expert on your own life. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and deeply supportive space where you can unpack whatever is weighing you down. I often remind my clients that healing isn’t about erasing the past or pretending everything is perfect; it’s about learning how to live fully right now, even while you are working through old wounds. We all have chapters of our lives shaped by the pain of betrayal, loss, or stress—but those chapters do not get to dictate the rest of your story.

Cassie is a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) clinician and practices DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) informed treatment. College can be one of the most exciting—and overwhelming—times in a person's life. Whether you're navigating academic stress, major life transitions, relationship challenges, or the impact of past traumatic experiences, therapy can provide a space to slow down, gain insight, and build effective coping strategies. I specialize in working with college students and young adults who are struggling with stress management, anxiety, life transitions, and trauma-related concerns. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your individual needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients better understand themselves, develop healthier patterns, and move toward meaningful change. My goal is to create a therapeutic environment where you feel heard, understood, and appropriately challenged as you work toward your goals. Whether you're adjusting to college life, managing overwhelming emotions, healing from past experiences, or simply trying to find greater balance, I am here to support you throughout the process.

Being a student can be tough! Balancing classes, friends, and work while adjusting to a new living situation. Maybe even feeling less confident when we never struggled in that area before. Sometimes we don't recognize that we are struggling with anxiety or depression...and that there is help! If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-confidence, difficulties with managing emotions, I can help! You don't need to know how therapy works. We will talk and get to know each other, then sort out together the areas where you can grow strengths to match your new experience.

I enjoy being a comforting confidant to others who are struggling. My goal as a therapist is to invite you into a safe environment and to be a conduit of empowerment, education, and healing. The therapeutic process is an invitation to heal, grow, and confidently move forward in achieving your goals and dreams. I use a diverse approach in sessions composed of the following theories: Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and inner healing prayer. I obtained a BA in Psychology from the University of Nevada Reno and an MA in Counseling from Cornerstone University. My favorite internship experience was at the campus center working with college students just like you! I have 6.5 years of experience working in an inpatient setting as a group therapist, crisis counselor, and discharge planner in the California Bay Area. I worked with many people who had layers of trauma, severe mental illness, and homelessness. This experience taught me the true value of nonjudgmental listening and the significance of supportive advocacy. In addition, I have 6 years of experience working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) providing Applied Behavioral Analysis and support to children with Autism. I am excited to relocate to Michigan to be close to family once again and to have the opportunity to counsel at Hope and Wholeness Psychology Center. In my free time, I enjoy time with family and friends, hiking, crafting, cooking, and tea parties.

I work best with students who carry a lot internally—people who seem put-together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected underneath. Many of the students I support are high achievers or deep feelers who worry about disappointing others, overthink decisions, or feel pressure to be “the strong one.” They’re often juggling school, relationships, family expectations, cultural or religious pressure, and their own inner world all at the same time. A lot of the students I connect with are navigating big transitions—figuring out who they are, questioning beliefs they grew up with, or trying to become their own person in the midst of complicated family dynamics. Some grew up in high-pressure homes, were the emotional caretaker in their family, or learned to hide their needs. Others are noticing patterns they don’t know how to change, like shutting down, feeling numb, feeling “too much,” or carrying stress in their bodies through tension, trouble sleeping, or difficulty concentrating. Many of my students are the quiet strugglers—the ones who rarely ask for help, apologize for having needs, or carry the emotional load for everyone else. They’re thoughtful, self-aware, and resilient, but exhausted. If you feel stuck between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming, or if you’re looking for a space where you don’t have to hold everything together, you’ll feel understood with me.

I use a warm and empathetic approach to therapy, which can be incredibly beneficial to my clients. My focus on creating a comfortable and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings allows me to tailor my methods to each client’s specific needs. I have 14 years of experience which brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to the therapeutic relationship, especially with my use of various therapeutic techniques in conjunction with my eclectic theoretical orientation. Clients seeking therapy with me can expect a supportive environment where they can work through challenges and gain new perspectives. Creating a space that feels comfortable and friendly really helps clients open up and explore their thoughts and feelings more freely. Coupled with my various therapeutic techniques displays my well-rounded approach. That helps you reach your therapy goals, quickly.
