The Journey to Your Internal Compass Starts with One Step. We cannot control what happens to us, but we can control how we respond. It takes courage to seek help for personal struggles. Therapy is like having a compass. The compass provides a sense of safety for travelers as they know they can rely on it to always point them in the right direction. With a compass—any compass—we can always pause for a moment in time and take stock of where we are so that we can continue to grow and change. All of us must change course from time to time because what we are doing isn’t working. If you are struggling with addiction, alcoholism, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or trauma, allow me the honor to walk alongside you as you take the steps to the authentic you and discover your internal compass. I use evidence-based treatments tailored to individual needs to help clients attain and maintain long-term sobriety, improve relationships and well-being. I offer a safe and confidential environment on telehealth software. Healing happens within relationships and it's crucial you find a therapist you connect with. Call or email me today. Let’s walk this journey together.

My name is Carolyn Roath. I am a Biblically informed Christian therapist, Master of Clinical Social Work, and owner of my own private telehealth practice. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University. My heart for those grieving relational loss and trauma has led me to this work. As a follower of Christ, I seek to create a safe and nurturing environment where the client knows they are free from judgment. It is paramount for me that I hold the vulnerable, tender, and painful parts of my client’s being with dignity and respect. Being trusted by a client is an honor I take very seriously. In my work I strive to empower my clients to be self-led, while gently guiding them with questions to prompt self-reflection. I resonate strongly with attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, and Interpersonal Neurobiology utilizing a strength-based approach. I perceive my role as continually validating clients while helping them process, synthesize, and analyze information through active listening.

Hi, I’m Dallas, a counseling graduate intern at Resilience Counseling & Play Therapy. I work with children, teens, young adults, and college students who may be feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, stuck, or uncertain about life’s next steps. College can bring a lot of pressure balancing academics, relationships, work, family expectations, and mental health all at once. My goal is to provide a supportive, judgment-free space where you can feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. I enjoy helping students navigate anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, relationship concerns, stress management, and emotional struggles that can interfere with daily life and success in school. I also have experience supporting children, adolescents, and families through behavioral concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma, and family stressors. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I believe therapy should feel like a safe place to talk openly, build healthy coping skills, gain confidence, and work toward meaningful change at your own pace. Whether you are struggling with something specific or simply feeling emotionally exhausted, you do not have to figure it out alone.

I am inspired when I see college-age men and women who are searching for emotional, financial, and intellectual independence. College can be a challenging time of finding identity and intimacy and I assist by helping clarify college relationships. Having gone to college and raising four children, I understand many things about the stages of early adulthood. I offer a safe space to process different parts that may be confusing in order to safely integrate all facets of personality and enhance congruence, agency, and personal power, enabling young adults to grow up healthy, more swiftly than struggling on their own.

If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed and unsure what to do next, it's time to get empowered. You're capable of so much more than you know. Let's turn your pain and uncertainty into growth you never thought possible. In solution-focused therapy, we work together to create a life that's worth celebrating. We can't change difficult events from the past, but the lessons they hold are keys to becoming who we're meant to be. I love witnessing clients achieve their purpose in daily life. In truth, it's what we're all designed to do. I work best with adults and teens who suffer depression, anxiety and troubles navigating life transitions. I have a passion for helping those who suffer chronic pain and illnesses. I particularly enjoy working with people of diverse backgrounds, including members of the LGBT+ community. If you're looking for support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction, I'm ready to partner with you. Let's do this. Please call or email me for an appointment.
You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges on your own. There are times when the weight of stress, anxiety, grief, self-doubt, or major life changes can feel overwhelming, and reaching out for support can be difficult. If you’ve been carrying more than you can manage by yourself, know that seeking help is not a sign of weakness, but an investment in you and your future.
I'm committed to helping people in building (or rebuilding) a life worth living, however they define it. Whether you're looking for a way forward after a loss, struggling to adjust to a new situation, or just feeling overwhelmed, you don't have to face it alone. With a therapeutic approach informed by Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, I tailor interventions to suit each person's unique needs and goals. I believe in the importance of not just having the words to describe our emotions and the skills to manage them, but in understanding where our emotions are coming from in the first place. I'm especially passionate about supporting students and young professionals as they navigate the ups and downs of emerging adulthood. Therapy is most effective when it's with a provider you connect with. Schedule a consultation to see if I'd be the right therapist for you.

My goal for counseling is to provide an open and accepting environment for everyone. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and it's important to feel connected to whoever you work with. I hope that my practice provides that for you.
