Living in your body may feel exhausting, unfamiliar, or even unsafe. Trauma, relationship harm, health changes or chronic illness, and struggles with body image and eating can leave us feeling disconnected and stuck between overwhelm and shutdown. I offer a warm, grounded presence where you can feel seen and begin cultivating a deeper sense of self-trust and wholeness - a space to explore lived experiences and learn supportive wellness practices. I work with busy students who are carrying the weight of stress, trauma, and grief while navigating immense transitions and responsibilities. Many of my clients are healing from sexual violence, emotional relationship harm, chronic/invisible illness and health-related changes (migraines, endometriosis, PCOS, POTS, cancer), and concerns around relationship with body and food, including disordered eating. I've supported students and young adults for over a decade, with many years of experience working in a college specialty counseling clinic. I use a mind-body approach that blends somatic (body-based), cognitive, and mindfulness practices including Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT Tapping). This helps us understand ourselves with compassion, cope with emotional overwhelm and physical body discomfort, heal from trauma, and reconnect to relationships and activities that nourish us. I find great joy in serving multicultural and multi-faith communities while providing a weight-inclusive, culturally-affirming, and trauma-informed space where all parts of you are welcome.

For me, I aim to help others transform their lives through compassionate, personalized care (with plenty of humor along the way). I specialize in working with people of color, student-athletes, and those who are neurodivergent. If you’re neurodivergent and reading this, you’ve finally found someone who specializes in and deeply understands your unique perspective. Whether seeking clarity on behaviors, understanding how you interpret the world, or navigating challenges like job functioning and ADHD, I’m here to help. I'm genuinely excited and honored to work with each of my clients and help them reach their goals in life. This isn't just my job, as all my clients will tell you—this is my passion. This is my life. I'm different from any therapist you've ever had, and together, we'll be one of the best teams. I'll be there for you through life's challenges, the ups, the downs, the hardships, the sadness, the happiest moments, the joys, and the promotions 🎉. If you're reading this and choose to work with me, I'm excited to see where we can go together. We'll support and empower you to be the best version of yourself, even if that best version is just not hating yourself anymore. Welcome to the Different Spectrums family! If you're curious about my style and humor, you're welcome to listen to our podcast, which has over forty thousand followers. I enjoy pickup basketball, weightlifting, and yoga outside the therapy room. I'm currently adding golf and fishing to my repertoire. I admit to a penchant for reading half-bought books and comics. To unwind, you'll catch me enjoying Netflix, Disney+, and Hulu comedies. 🏀💪🎓🎣📚 #TherapistExtraordinaire

I've had the privilege of walking alongside clients in their healing journeys and have found that, for many whose trust (in others and in themselves) has been shaken, finally feeling heard and understood serves as a powerful corrective experience. I believe that these experiences are crucial in facilitating personal growth and change. I recognize that all clients have unique strengths, and I build upon these to create a working alliance that is non-judgmental, empowerment-based, and client-focused. Many feel alienated not only in their struggles but in their pursuit of wellbeing, especially when they have not received a great deal of support in making the changes they desire. I am honored to provide such support and join clients on their paths toward healing. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults in the treatment of trauma, complex PTSD, attachment, anxiety, and depression. I am trained in and often utilize trauma-focused interventions including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Forward-Facing Trauma Therapy (FFTT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I also frequently employ solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and emotional regulation strategies in my practice, depending on each client’s unique needs.

I utilize a strengths-based approach to help people identify what they are already doing well, and help them see & build on that potential. Small changes can make a big impact. I have specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) & Mindfulness-based stress reduction. Speciality areas include: relationship/family concerns, college/graduate student-related concerns, young adults, trauma history, anxiety, stress management, self care, pregnancy/pre/post-natal support & adjustment to life transitions. I am an independently licensed therapist and obtained my Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago in 2008. We can manage your prescription and medications. Our Care Philosophy: I believe the best care comes from building a strong partnership with my patients. I take time to listen closely to each person’s story, value their input, and work with them to create a treatment plan that fits their goals and lifestyle. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and focused on empowering patients to take an active role in their mental health. I explain treatment options clearly, answer questions in plain language, and encourage open communication so patients feel comfortable and informed every step of the way. I also believe in meeting patients where they are—whether that means adjusting care to match their pace or providing extra education and resources to help them feel confident. Above all, my goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a safe and respectful environment where patients feel heard, understood, and supported on their journey toward healing and wellness.

Hello! My name is Erin. I specialize in working with clients with a variety of concerns including PTSD, sexual traumas, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, LGBTQIA concerns, women's issues, divorce, relationship concerns, neurodivergent and more. Therapy works best when my client is motivated for some kind of change, even if they may not know what that looks like. My role is to support them in their journey to find their path. Please note that in accordance to Michigan Law, I participate in monthly supervision meetings with a Ph.D Psychologist, Dr. Julie Davis. I use a combination of CBT, positive psychology, motivational interviewing and more to meet a client where they are. My approach is direct for those who prefer, and softer for those who need a lighter approach. I use humor with my clients and find the absurdities and ironies in life. I am also able to go to the dark places with my clients. I know what it’s like to feel lost and uncertain. I know what it’s like to experience hopelessness and feel a desire to live a more meaningful life. These are just a few of the reasons I became a therapist. Participating in my own therapy from a young age helped me understand I wanted to others navigate these difficult feelings for a more fulfilling life.

One of my favorite quotes is " Life ain't always beautiful, but it's a beautiful ride." I have often found that life can throw you a curveball when you least expect it, and it is often hard to navigate those challenges on your own. Have you ever found yourself feelings anxious, overwhelmed, or depressed about things going on in your life? What if you could have an unbiased, safe space to openly express those thoughts or feelings without needing to censor yourself or fear judgement. That is what I do, provide a safe space where you can feel empowered to openly express yourself and work towards achieving your goals. I have been a social worker for 26 years, helping individuals navigate on-going struggles in their lives such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, end of life, and grief. I utilize talk therapy and humor to assist my clients in working through their thoughts/fears and help them learn new approaches for coping with life's challenges.

Hello! I am a trauma therapist for women navigating motherhood and life transitions. I specializes in supporting women navigating motherhood, grief and loss, neurodivergence, and life transitions. I work with adult women who may appear to be managing life well on the outside, but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck internally. Many of the clients I work with are processing trauma, adjusting to major life transitions, navigating ADHD or autism as adults, or finding their way through the emotional complexities of pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood. I am particularly passionate about supporting women who are learning to better understand their emotional and physical responses, reconnect with their sense of self, and develop new ways of relating to their experiences.
